HI-Cotton RV Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the McQueeney, Texas area, HI-Cotton RV Park, located at 104 Travis Buford Ln, McQueeney, TX 78123, USA, is one option to consider. However, it is crucial for potential guests to be aware of recent feedback from individuals who have stayed at the park, as their experiences highlight significant concerns regarding the management, environment, and amenities offered.
Based on recent customer reviews, the environment at HI-Cotton RV Park appears to be a point of concern for some guests. One reviewer described the property as resembling a "junkyard" with "literal piles of trash" present. This suggests that the overall aesthetic and cleanliness of the park may not meet the expectations of all visitors. While another individual, who was not an RV owner but used the park for a specific service, did not comment on the general environment, the negative description provided by a former long-term resident should be taken into consideration. The review also mentioned a lack of nearby conveniences, indicating a potentially isolated location.
In terms of services and features, the information available paints a mixed picture. One positive note comes from a non-RV owning visitor who needed to charge an electric vehicle. This individual found the owner accommodating and was able to utilize new NEMA 14-50 sockets for charging for a reasonable fee. This suggests that the park may offer some level of electrical service that can be beneficial in specific circumstances. However, a long-term RV resident reported "little to no amenities to speak of" and mentioned complaints from other customers about non-functional washer/dryer facilities. This stark contrast in experiences suggests that the availability and reliability of amenities may be inconsistent or limited.
A significant portion of the feedback revolves around the park management and interactions with the owner, Tony. One detailed review expresses considerable dissatisfaction, alleging disrespectful and sexist behavior. The reviewer claims that the owner refused to communicate directly with her, stating he would only speak to the "man of the house." Instances of water being turned off without prior notice, belongings being moved without communication, and abrupt eviction notices were also reported. Additionally, the reviewer mentioned hearing the owner yelling at his wife and recounted an incident of being yelled at for alleged speeding within the park, which she disputes. The review also touched upon inconsistencies in pet policies, with a guest's leashed dog being reprimanded while the owner's dog reportedly roamed freely. These allegations raise serious concerns about the park's management style and the treatment of guests.
Given the strong negative sentiments expressed in one of the reviews, potential local users searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully weigh these experiences. While the positive interaction regarding the EV charging indicates some level of accommodation, the issues raised by the former long-term resident regarding communication, respect, amenities, and the overall environment are significant and should not be overlooked. It is important to note that this information is based on the experiences shared by individual reviewers online and may not represent the experience of every guest. However, the detailed nature of the negative review warrants serious consideration.
Promotional information for HI-Cotton RV Park is not provided in the available reviews. It is unclear whether the park offers any specific discounts for local users, extended stays, or other promotions. Given the concerns raised about the park's management and amenities, potential visitors may want to directly inquire about current rates and any available discounts while also seeking clarification on the issues highlighted in the reviews. Contacting the park directly at (830) 237-1695 or +1 830-237-1695 would be the best way to obtain up-to-date information on pricing and any special offers, as well as to ask specific questions about the park's policies and amenities.
In conclusion, while HI-Cotton RV Park in McQueeney, TX, is listed as an option for "RV parks near me," potential local users should be aware of the significant concerns raised in recent guest reviews. These concerns include allegations of disrespectful and sexist behavior by the owner, a junkyard-like environment with trash on the property, limited and potentially non-functional amenities, and issues with communication and park management. While one non-RV guest reported a positive experience with EV charging, the overall feedback from at least one long-term RV resident is overwhelmingly negative. Therefore, individuals searching for RV accommodations in the McQueeney area are strongly advised to consider these reviews carefully and potentially seek additional information or explore alternative RV parks before making a decision. Direct communication with the park owner may provide further insight, but the publicly available feedback suggests a need for caution.

HI-Cotton RV Park Reviews
If I could give ZERO stars, I would. The owner, Tony, here is HORRIBLY disrespectful and sexist. He absolutely refused to communicate with me about any issues and specifically said he "talks to the man of the house." I would be home, and instead of knocking on the door to talk, he would call my husband at work. He turned off our water multiple times while we were using it without saying anything first, because there was a slow, small drip after the freeze that took a little longer to fix because all stores were sold out of supplies. He would come move our stuff without talking to us. Then, when I finally did get him to talk to me, I told him to let me know about stuff that needed to be moved, he said okay, then continued to move stuff without any communication. He also proceeded to call my husband after I talked with him and told him that we had to be out by the first, because it was too much trouble. He has continued to mess with our stuff, usually when he sees that both of our cars are gone, and has walked away from me several more times when I again tried to discuss it. He can be heard outside yelling at his wife. He yelled at us for speeding, saying we were going 7-8 mph, even though my speedometer clearly said 5mph. We don't have a dog but another customer did and complained their dog was expected to be leashed while Tony's dog roams all over the property freely. The place looks like a junkyard with literal piles of trash on the property. There are little to no amenities to speak of, other customers complain of the washer/dryer not working, and it's not close to anything. The only reason we are here is because everywhere was completely booked, and we moved to the area for my husband's job. Beyond thrilled to get out of this place.
Mar 25, 2021 · Anaya CrowI'm not an RV owner, but we are vacation renting a home on Lake McQueeney and needed a place to charge our Tesla before heading out in the morning. I called Tony and he couldn't have been more accommodating, inviting me to come over and plug in for a reasonable fee. His new NEMA 14-50 sockets sure beat the trickle of 120VAC.
May 26, 2019 · Scott AltorferHi-Cotton is a nice and quiet RV park. We visited over Memorial Day weekend. It’s very quiet. We went to float the River and saw RV campgrounds that were packed to the brim; this place was not. There was enough space between the sites to not feel you were on top of your neighbor. When we started researching where to go, this place had a mix between positive and negative reviews. Tony and his wife were so nice! We were caught in a horrible storm on the way up from Houston and had to park overnight and wait out the storm before getting to the campsite. They called and checked on us during the storm and again in the morning, when we were on our way. Tony checked in on us and made sure we had everything we needed, and if we had any questions. He was very friendly with us and helped us find a place to float the River. There is some old equipment on the property and his plans to clean it up and what improvements he plans on making. We will definitely be back!
May 31, 2021 · Jessica SpackmanCalm and quiet place to live. Gated which we like because it made us feel safe. There are rules just like any other rv park. Affordable and the spots are spacious. Tony (the owner) made us feel welcome and was always there to help if we needed it. He was more than happy to help us move our 5th wheel back to our winter monthly place without question which was very nice. Couldn’t have done it without his help. Also has a very sweet dog :)
Oct 21, 2022 · Miranda SchriewerGreat overall experience!! Tony was able to repair some rear damage I received on my RV in a timely manner that kept it on a timeline I presented to him that was important to me. Tony seemed to really care more about my experience with his service instead of maximizing profit out of me.
