They can be contacted at (760) 749-1146 or +1 760-749-1146 for further information. While categorized under platforms that might list "RV parks near me" due to the availability of long-term residency options sometimes associated with RV parks, Hide-Away Lake Mobile Estates primarily functions as a manufactured home community.
Recent feedback from individuals who have interacted with Hide-Away Lake Mobile Estates presents a concerning picture regarding the management and overall community atmosphere. Multiple reviewers have specifically highlighted negative experiences with the park manager, identified as Ann. One prospective resident recounted their encounter, stating that Ann gave her husband "the creeps" and came across as overly controlling and unfriendly, speaking to them in a condescending manner. This individual expressed relief at not moving into the community, perceiving a lack of friendliness and a sense of isolation among the residents, describing the park as "dead."
Another reviewer strongly advised against considering Hide-Away Lake Mobile Estates, echoing the sentiment of the manager's unprofessional and rude behavior. This individual recounted a specific instance where, upon visiting to view a home for sale, the manager's initial interaction was an abrupt demand to move their car, devoid of any welcoming or introductory remarks. This reviewer contrasted the negative experience with the manager against the perceived positive nature of the park's residents. However, they also expressed concern that these residents might be hesitant to voice complaints due to fear of retaliation from the management. This feedback directly calls upon the owners, Ken and Sue, to address the manager's behavior, suggesting that her actions are detrimental to fostering a successful and respectful community.
Based on these two recent reviews, the environment and atmosphere of Hide-Away Lake Mobile Estates appear to be significantly impacted by the perceived negative interactions with the park manager. The lack of a welcoming environment for prospective residents and the alleged fear of retaliation among current residents paint a concerning picture of the community's social dynamics and management style. The description of the park as "dead" by one reviewer further suggests a potentially unengaging or isolated living experience.
The services and features of Hide-Away Lake Mobile Estates are not detailed in the provided reviews. Typically, mobile home parks offer long-term or permanent residency options, with residents either owning their manufactured homes and paying lot rent or leasing both the home and the lot. Amenities can vary widely but often include basic utilities, common areas, and possibly recreational facilities. However, the focus of the available feedback is predominantly on the negative interactions with the management, overshadowing any potential positive features or services the community might offer.
There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. The strong negative sentiments expressed by those who have interacted with the management would likely deter potential residents, regardless of any potential promotions, until the issues raised are addressed. The emphasis in the reviews is on the importance of respectful and professional management in creating a positive living environment, suggesting that improvements in this area would be far more impactful than any promotional offers.
For individuals actively searching for "RV parks near me" that might include mobile home communities offering long-term living, Hide-Away Lake Mobile Estates presents a cautionary case based on the recent feedback. While the physical environment and amenities are not detailed, the reported negative interactions with the manager and the resulting uninviting atmosphere are significant red flags. Potential residents should exercise extreme caution and, if still considering this community, should attempt to gain firsthand perspectives from current residents (if possible, discreetly) and directly assess the management's professionalism and responsiveness.
The lack of positive feedback regarding the management and the explicit warnings from those who have interacted with her should not be taken lightly. A positive and respectful management team is crucial for fostering a healthy and thriving community, especially in long-term residential settings like mobile home parks. The concerns raised about fear of retaliation among residents are particularly serious, as they indicate a potential lack of open communication and a possibly uncomfortable living environment.
In conclusion, while Hide-Away Lake Mobile Estates is located in Valley Center, CA, and offers long-term residential options that might fall under the broader search of "RV parks near me" for some users, the recent customer reviews paint a negative picture primarily due to the reported behavior of the park manager. The community is described as unwelcoming and potentially isolating. Prospective residents are strongly advised to approach with significant caution, conduct thorough independent research, and seek direct interactions with current residents to gain a balanced perspective before considering making Hide-Away Lake Mobile Estates their home. The owners, Ken and Sue, are urged by reviewers to address the serious concerns raised about the management to improve the living experience for their residents and the overall reputation of the community.

Hide-Away Lake Mobile Estates Reviews
My husband and I meet Ann. We were trying to buy a.place in their park. She gave my husband the creeps. She came off like she owned the park and she was very controlling. She was not friendly and talked to us like we were ignorant.im glad we didntmove there it didntseem like a friendly environment . it was like people were hiding in their house. The park was dead.
Dec 03, 2023 · Lisa MatteyDO NOT LOOK AT THIS COMMUNITY! Manager Ann is a horrible, rude and very unprofessional person. We went to look at a home for sale and instead of introducing herself, she decided it was best to just say “move your car now”. That’s all. No hi, welcome to the community. No can I help you guys. No Hi, my name is Ann and I’m the manager of the park. Unprofessional and rude. Residents of the park are great! But unfortunately with the manager being so rude and so horrible, they can not make a complaint due to fear of retaliation from management. Open your eyes Owners Ken and Sue. If you want a successful park, listen to your residents and treat them with respect and kindness. If not, your just as guilty as Ann in how she treats your residents.
Apr 21, 2022 · CynthiaI have lived at Hide-Away Lake for 10 years. I love this place. The owners take great pride in the grounds and up keep. They have worked with me on several occasions when concerns have come up. Everyone who lives here is more like a family. I plan on spending the rest of my life here. I wouldn't want to live any where else.
Jan 24, 2018 · MARIE DILISIOPark itself is not bad and there are many good and kind neighbors in the park but ownership and management are generally not very supportive of their tenants, would rather harass them than help them.. typical of rental-tenancy San Diego because civil tenancy codes are not enforced. Not recommended. Management at Hideaway be the devil.
