Hillcrest Introduce
Are you searching within the "RV parks near me" category for a long-term stay option in the Rockland, Massachusetts area? Hillcrest mobile home park, located at 29 Crestview St, Rockland, MA 02370, USA, with phone numbers (781) 871-0656 and +1 781-871-0656, presents itself as a small, potentially budget-friendly community. It's important to note, based on recent customer feedback, that this is primarily a mobile home park with some modular homes present and is described as a "low end mobile home park." New ownership is mentioned, suggesting potential future changes or improvements that local users considering this location should be aware of.
The environment of Hillcrest in Rockland, MA, as inferred from the limited information available, appears to be that of a small, established mobile home park. The presence of both mobile homes and some modular homes suggests a community with a mix of housing types. Rockland, Massachusetts, is a town in the South Shore region, offering a suburban environment with proximity to both natural areas and urban centers like Boston. While specific details about the landscaping, amenities, or overall aesthetic of Hillcrest are lacking, the customer review stating "Looks NOTHING LIKE THE PIC" is a significant point to consider. This suggests that any online visuals associated with the park may not accurately represent the current reality. Potential local users should therefore exercise caution and, if possible, visit the site in person to get an accurate sense of the environment. The mention of "lots of stray cats that people feed out of kindness" indicates the presence of local wildlife within the park, which might be a consideration for some residents.
Services at Hillcrest, as a mobile home park listed under the "RV parks near me" category (potentially for long-term RV stays or as a reference point for those seeking affordable housing options that might accommodate RVs), can be inferred based on typical mobile home park offerings. These often include basic infrastructure such as water hookups, electrical hookups (likely with varying amperages), and sewer hookups at individual lots. Residents typically pay for their own utilities. The park would likely provide common area maintenance, including upkeep of roadways and any shared green spaces. Garbage and recycling services are also generally provided. Given the "low end" description and the lack of mention of specific amenities, it's possible that Hillcrest may not offer extensive services beyond the essentials. However, the new ownership mentioned in the review could potentially lead to changes or improvements in the future. For those considering Hillcrest for long-term RV living, it's crucial to confirm the availability and suitability of hookups for their specific RV type and to inquire about any restrictions or regulations regarding RV stays.
The features of Hillcrest, based on the customer review, provide some insight into what potential local users can expect. The small size of the mobile home park is a notable feature, which could foster a close-knit community atmosphere, although this is not explicitly stated. The presence of both mobile homes and modular homes indicates a diverse range of housing within the park. The allowance of dogs is a significant feature for pet owners, although the review does not mention specific dog park areas or regulations. The presence of stray cats being fed by residents suggests a certain level of community interaction and care for animals. The most significant feature highlighted by the review is the discrepancy between the actual appearance of the park and any online pictures, urging potential residents to seek current and accurate visual information. The new ownership is also a key feature, as it introduces an element of uncertainty and potential for future changes, both positive and negative.
The description of Hillcrest as a "low end mobile home park" is a crucial piece of information for local users browsing the "RV parks near me" category and considering this location. This suggests that the park might offer more affordable rates compared to higher-end RV resorts or mobile home communities, but it might also imply fewer amenities or a more basic level of upkeep. For individuals seeking budget-friendly long-term RV living options in the Rockland area, Hillcrest might be a consideration, but it's essential to have realistic expectations based on this description and the customer feedback. The presence of new owners introduces a variable factor; they might invest in improvements and raise the standards of the park, or they might maintain the status quo. Local users should inquire about the new owners' plans and any anticipated changes that could affect their living experience.
Hillcrest, as a mobile home park with some modular homes, potentially caters to local users seeking long-term, affordable housing options in the Rockland, MA area. While it is listed under the "RV parks near me" category, its primary function appears to be a mobile home community. Individuals with RVs looking for an extended stay in the region, particularly those on a budget, might consider Hillcrest if RVs are permitted and the hookups are suitable. Pet owners who have dogs will find the park's allowance of dogs a positive feature, although the lack of a designated dog area might be a consideration. The presence of stray cats could be a factor for those with concerns about pets interacting with other animals. The small size of the park might appeal to those seeking a quieter, more intimate community. However, the discrepancy between online pictures and the actual appearance, along with the "low end" description, suggests that potential residents should prioritize visiting the park in person to assess its suitability for their needs.
Promotional information for Hillcrest is not provided in the given text. Mobile home parks, especially those described as "low end," might not actively engage in broad promotional campaigns. Any potential discounts or special offers would likely be communicated directly through inquiries to the park's management, particularly the new owners. Local users interested in long-term stays, whether in mobile homes or RVs (if permitted), should contact Hillcrest directly using the provided phone numbers to inquire about lot availability, rental rates, utility costs, and any current incentives the new owners might be offering to attract residents. It would also be prudent to ask about any planned improvements or changes to the park that could impact the living experience or the cost of residency.
For local users considering Hillcrest as a potential "RV parks near me" option for a long-term stay, it is strongly recommended to conduct thorough due diligence. This includes contacting the park management (the new owners) to inquire about their policies regarding RVs, the availability and type of hookups, monthly rates, lease terms, and any rules and regulations. Given the negative feedback about the accuracy of online pictures, a personal visit to the park is crucial to assess the current environment, the condition of the facilities, and the overall suitability for your needs. Speaking with current residents, if possible, could provide valuable insights into the community and the management. Understanding the zoning regulations and any local ordinances related to mobile home parks and long-term RV stays in Rockland, MA, would also be beneficial.
In conclusion, Hillcrest mobile home park in Rockland, MA, presents itself as a small, potentially budget-friendly option within the "RV parks near me" category, primarily catering to mobile home residents with some modular homes also present. The recent change in ownership introduces an element of potential change. However, the significant discrepancy between online visuals and the actual appearance, along with the "low end" description, necessitates caution and thorough investigation by potential local users. While dogs are allowed and stray cats are present, the absence of specific amenities and the overall condition of the park warrant a personal visit and direct communication with the new management to determine if Hillcrest meets individual housing or long-term RV living needs in the Rockland area.

Looks NOTHING LIKE THE PIC
Apr 12, 2025 · Rich CarneySmall mobile home park. There are some modular homes on site as well. It's more of a low end mobile home park with new owners that just started so who knows if they are going to make any changes or improvements. Lots of stray cats that people feed out of kindness and dogs are allowed.
Jun 13, 2021 · Melissa PettaE.L.S. that manages the park are money hungry tyrannts that constantly try to raise the rent and not provide any services. Trash pick up and snow removal is inconsistant and maintenence is very poor. This park has seriously deteriarated since they took it over.
May 06, 2021 · William MontgomeryProperty is terribly managed and has deteriorated since ELS took over. They always raise rent but haven't fixed playground fence in 3 years. Trash pick up is sporadic
