Horseshoe INN and Campground Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Adair, Oklahoma area, Horseshoe INN and Campground, located at 3296 E 4675 Rd, presents itself as a potential option offering a mix of RV camping and unique lodging experiences, including yurts and tiny homes. However, recent online reviews provide a mixed picture of guest experiences, which local RVers and those seeking alternative accommodations should carefully consider.
One positive review highlights a guest's experience with the host's accommodation and flexibility when unexpected water levels affected their yurt reservation. The host is described as "very personable" and the guest enjoyed their stay in a tiny home, exploring the local area and relaxing. This suggests that Horseshoe INN and Campground offers unique lodging options beyond traditional RV sites and that the host can be accommodating in certain situations.
However, another more detailed and critical review raises significant concerns for RV travelers. This guest specifically inquired about sewer connections at the RV site before booking and was assured they were available. Based on this assurance, they incurred a cancellation fee at another campground to book at Horseshoe INN and Campground for a higher price. Upon arrival, the reality was quite different. The guest reported "no sewer connection," parking on dirt, and an unusually high electrical connection due to the location being in a flood plain. This discrepancy between the information provided during booking and the actual site conditions is a serious issue for RVers who rely on these essential hookups.
Furthermore, this reviewer also mentioned that there was only "1 water connection for 2 or 3 spots," indicating a potential inconvenience for sharing water access among multiple RV sites. The location of the dump station was also not readily apparent, requiring the guest to "walk the whole place to find" it. The reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with the host's demeanor, feeling that the priority was solely on receiving payment, and ultimately does not recommend the campground.
Considering the category "RV parks near me," local users rely on accurate information regarding essential amenities like sewer and water hookups, as well as the overall suitability of the sites for their RVs. The conflicting information presented in these reviews suggests a potential inconsistency in the quality and features of the RV sites at Horseshoe INN and Campground. The claim of sewer connections that turned out to be false is particularly concerning for RVers planning longer stays or those who prioritize full hookups.
The environment of Horseshoe INN and Campground seems to be located in a flood plain, as indicated by the elevated electrical connection. This could potentially lead to issues during periods of heavy rain or rising water levels, as experienced by the guest who had booked the yurt. While the campground offers unique lodging options like yurts and tiny homes, the suitability and infrastructure for RVs appear to be less consistent based on the negative review.
In terms of services and features, the positive review highlights the host's personal touch and the availability of alternative accommodations. However, the negative review points out significant deficiencies in basic RV amenities such as sewer connections and adequate water access. The parking on dirt might be acceptable for some, but the unfulfilled promise of sewer and the inconvenient placement of utilities are major drawbacks. The lack of clear information about the dump station further adds to the concerns about the park's infrastructure for RVs.
There is no promotional information available online for Horseshoe INN and Campground. Therefore, local users must rely on the experiences shared by other guests to form an objective opinion. The stark contrast between the two reviews suggests that experiences may vary, possibly depending on the specific site or lodging type. However, the detailed negative review raises serious questions about the reliability of the information provided during booking and the adequacy of the RV facilities.
For local RV users searching for "RV parks near me" in Adair, Oklahoma, Horseshoe INN and Campground presents a mixed bag. While the availability of yurts and tiny homes might appeal to those seeking a unique getaway, the reported issues with RV site amenities, particularly the lack of promised sewer connections and inconvenient water access, are significant concerns. The location in a flood plain is also a factor that RVers should consider, especially during seasons with higher rainfall.
It is crucial for local users considering Horseshoe INN and Campground for their RV to be aware of the potential discrepancies between advertised and actual site conditions. Directly contacting the campground to verify the availability and functionality of specific hookups at the assigned site is highly recommended before making a booking. Asking detailed questions about sewer connections, water access, site levelness, and the location of the dump station would be prudent to avoid the negative experiences reported by the previous guest.
In conclusion, Horseshoe INN and Campground in Adair, Oklahoma, offers unique lodging options and a seemingly personable host. However, for local RV users searching for "RV parks near me," the recent negative review highlighting issues with misrepresented sewer connections, inconvenient water access, and parking conditions should be taken seriously. While one guest had a positive experience with alternative lodging, RVers are advised to exercise caution and seek detailed clarifications about the RV site amenities before booking a stay at Horseshoe INN and Campground.

Horseshoe INN and Campground Reviews
I bought my husband a yurt getaway as a gift. Unfortunately water levels rise, covering our yurt platform. The host was so accommodating and moved us to one of her tiny homes. It was so cute. We had such a wonderful time. The host is very personable. We explored the local area and relaxed.
Mar 09, 2025 · Raven Duran-BlackI called to make a reservation, but there was no answer. However, a nice lady did eventually return my call. I asked if they had sewer connections at the RV site, and she said yes. I had already made a reservation at a government campground before she returned my call, but since she CLAIMED, I would have sewer. I paid a cancelation fee and booked with her for more money. I did ask her if her spots had plenty of room for larger units, and she said yes. To my disappointment, when I arrived, I found no sewer connection, parking on the dirt, and the electric connection was about 7 feet off the ground because we were in a flood plain. The lady was getting pushy on where I positioned my rv in the spot while I was looking for the sewer connection. Then she told me what I believe to be a lie "we had to move our full-time customers because of a flood" ,who full times without sewer? The spots were so close together that if I parked the way she asked, I would have been unable to run out my slide. There is only 1 water connection for 2 or 3 spots as well. Then, to top it all off, we had to walk the whole place to find the dump station. All she cared about was getting my money. I do not recommend this place at all. I hate to leave negative reviews, especially for small businesses.
Mar 24, 2025 · Ed LeeWe had the best time camping here! It was beautiful to wake up to the lake each morning. It was so quiet, peaceful and safe. The exact thing I needed to be refreshed and relaxed! It was wonderful to have the clubhouse to play games and use to get cleaned up. Becky was a fantastic host! She kept ice on hand so I wasn’t needing to constantly go to town. My kids also enjoyed being able to get a couple treats from the general store and they definitely enjoyed the pool! Overall, we had the best week camping here! We will be back next year. I would highly recommend!
Oct 02, 2024 · Whitney MathesonI had the best weekend with my family and friends! Becky was so nice and friendly and literally was so much help. This weekend we also had a tornado that hit while we were camping she told us about a shelter for when it does hit and we all had to go to it and she made sure everyone was safe and even after our whole camp site was tore up and flooded she made sure we all had somewhere dry to sleep and made us all feel so at home . It was such a beautiful spot I’ll definitely recommend this place to anyone! So clean, nice in ground pool as well as free kayaks to go out on. The kids had so much fun!
