I / 10 R V park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Theodore, Alabama area, I / 10 R V Park, located at 6430 Theodore Dawes Rd, Theodore, AL 36582, USA, presents itself as a potentially convenient option, particularly for overnight stops. Based on the available customer reviews, the park offers certain advantages such as accessibility and cleanliness, but also presents a notable issue regarding a large cat population that prospective guests should be aware of.
One positive aspect highlighted by a reviewer is the park's suitability as a "nice overnight stop." This suggests that the park is well-equipped for travelers who are passing through the area and need a comfortable and convenient place to rest for the night. The "easy access" mentioned is another significant benefit, implying that the park is likely easy to find and navigate, especially for larger RVs.
The park's proximity to Interstate 10 (I-10) is also noted, with the reviewer stating that it is "just far enough from I-10 to avoid interstate noise." This is a crucial factor for many travelers, as it allows for easy on-and-off access to the highway while still providing a quieter environment for sleeping and relaxation. The balance between convenience and tranquility can be a key differentiator when choosing from "RV parks near me," especially for those sensitive to traffic noise.
Another positive feature mentioned is the presence of "easy pull-thru sites with new concrete pads." Pull-thru sites are highly desirable for RVers as they eliminate the need to back up, making parking and departure much simpler and quicker, especially for larger rigs or those towing vehicles. The "new concrete pads" suggest that the parking areas are well-maintained and provide a stable and level surface for RVs.
The cleanliness of I / 10 R V Park is also commended, with one reviewer describing it as a "very clean campground." Clean facilities and grounds contribute significantly to a positive camping experience, indicating that the management likely takes pride in maintaining the park's appearance and hygiene.
The same reviewer also provides a helpful tip regarding the park's entrance: "the entrance is the second driveway, look for the small yellow sign." This practical advice can be valuable for first-time visitors, potentially preventing confusion upon arrival and ensuring a smooth check-in process.
However, a significant and concerning issue is raised in two separate reviews regarding a large population of cats at the RV park. One reviewer states directly, "So they don't disclose the hundreds of cats they have here.... This is a breeding ground for cats....... One of the residents sits out by the office and feeds them three times a day....... Now when you're sleeping they're climbing all over your things and all up under the camper......."
Another reviewer echoes this sentiment, expressing strong dissatisfaction: "This is very unprofessional and if I would have known this before coming here you wouldn't have gotten my money." This highlights the severity of the issue for some guests, indicating that the presence of a large number of unsupervised cats can significantly detract from the RV park experience.
The behavior of the cats, as described by one reviewer ("climbing all over your things and all up under the camper"), raises concerns about potential damage to RVs, noise disturbances, and hygiene. For individuals who are not fond of cats, have allergies, or are concerned about their pets interacting with a large feral or semi-feral cat population, this is a critical factor to consider when looking at "RV parks near me."
The fact that the park allegedly does not disclose the presence of a large number of cats is also a point of concern, as it prevents potential guests from making an informed decision based on their preferences and needs. This lack of transparency can lead to negative experiences and dissatisfaction, as expressed in the reviews.
Given these contrasting reviews, potential visitors to I / 10 R V Park should weigh the reported convenience, clean facilities, and easy access against the significant issue of the large cat population. If you are comfortable with or indifferent to the presence of numerous cats, the park may still be a suitable option for an overnight stop or a longer stay. However, if you have concerns about allergies, pets, or potential damage to your RV, you should carefully consider this information before making a reservation.

To obtain comprehensive information about the park's offerings and policies, it is advisable to contact them directly at (251) 653-9816 or +1 251-653-9816.

Aug 19, 2024 · Nothing HereWe stayed here about 6 months ago. The transformation the park is currently undergoing is simply amazing! New concrete pads are a big bonus. Really convenient location with so much shopping and dining very close by. We can hardly wait till the next time we are in the area to see how much more they have updated and improved! We will absolutely be back!
Sep 24, 2019 · Scott Filipek (doctor mole)TERRIBLE WIFI. stray cats everywhere. Dogs off leash. Bathrooms out of order.
Nov 18, 2024 · Kevin GWe stayed in Feb 2020 for 4 days and found this a very nice clean park. All the sites in front for shorter stays are brand new cement slabs and nicely landscaped. There is a new young owner who is spending a lot of money on upgrades and everything is running smooth. They have a pool and also long term worker area that is separate from short term. Very friendly staff and nice and quiet for sleeping. Just a couple of miles off the interstate with easy access to Mobile. Very reasonable price for what you get. Ok internet and cell signal. Don’t waste your time anywhere else.
