To help you make an informed decision, we've compiled an objective overview based on recent customer reviews found online. Several recent reviews paint a mixed picture of the experience at Jellystone Park™ Birchwood Acres. One reviewer who stayed in the 'deluxe' and 'premium' cabins with a large group of friends and families expressed significant disappointment with the accommodations. Their feedback highlighted issues such as the presence of mouse droppings in their cabin, mold in the mini-split units, general cleanliness concerns (indicated by a dirty floor and sofa), and instances of leftover food from previous occupants. This reviewer, while noting that the children enjoyed activities like trick-or-treating, the playground, and the bounce pillow, indicated that they would likely seek alternative accommodations for future trips due to the condition of the cabins.
Another extensive review detailed a highly negative experience during a five-day family trip. This reviewer, who had positive past experiences with Jellystone parks, reported that the facilities at Birchwood Acres appeared to be in disrepair, with broken and rusted playground equipment that limited their children's play. They also described lackluster and poorly executed scheduled activities, citing an example of a "parachute with Yogi Bear" activity that lacked enthusiasm and engagement from the staff. Furthermore, this reviewer mentioned that the pool chemicals were so strong that they discolored their bathing suits. They also reported issues with a pre-paid birthday package, including a late character visit with the wrong size t-shirts, and the breakfast service, where pancakes were served without syrup.
These reviews suggest that while Jellystone Park™ Birchwood Acres may offer some of the attractions typically associated with the Jellystone brand, such as playgrounds and themed activities, there appear to be significant concerns regarding the cleanliness and condition of the accommodations, the quality and execution of the planned activities, and potentially the maintenance of the facilities. For those specifically looking for "RV parks near me," it's important to consider these aspects alongside the park's location and any advertised amenities.
Given this feedback, prospective visitors searching for "RV parks near me" should weigh these experiences when considering Jellystone Park™ Birchwood Acres. While the park may offer a range of activities that could appeal to families with children, the reported issues with cabin cleanliness, facility maintenance, and the quality of some activities are important factors to take into account.
To get a balanced perspective and the most up-to-date information, it is strongly recommended that you contact Jellystone Park™ Birchwood Acres directly at (845) 434-4743 or +1 845-434-4743. By speaking with the park management, you can inquire about the current condition of the facilities, the schedule of activities, the types of RV sites available, and any recent improvements or changes. You can also ask about their policies on cleanliness and maintenance to address the concerns raised in the reviews.
For those browsing "RV parks near me" who prioritize clean and well-maintained accommodations and engaging activities, it would be prudent to seek clarification from the park regarding the issues highlighted in the recent reviews. Understanding the current state of the park and their response to the feedback provided by previous guests will be crucial in determining if Jellystone Park™ Birchwood Acres meets your expectations for an enjoyable and comfortable stay.
In the context of "RV parks near me," the location in Greenfield Park, NY, might be appealing due to its proximity to local attractions or natural areas. However, the quality of the experience within the park itself is a significant factor for many RV travelers and families. Therefore, supplementing the search for location with direct inquiries about the park's current conditions and services is essential.
While the negative reviews focus primarily on the cabin accommodations and activity experiences, information regarding the RV sites themselves is less detailed in the provided feedback. If you are primarily interested in RV camping, your experience might differ. However, the broader concerns about maintenance and service quality could potentially extend to other areas of the park as well.
Therefore, if Jellystone Park™ Birchwood Acres appears in your search for "RV parks near me," we recommend a direct conversation with the park management to discuss the current state of their facilities and services. This will allow you to make a more informed decision based on your specific needs and priorities for an RV park experience.
In conclusion, based on recent online reviews, Jellystone Park™ Birchwood Acres has received feedback indicating concerns about the cleanliness and condition of cabins, the quality of some planned activities, and facility maintenance. While the location in Greenfield Park, NY, might be convenient for those searching for "RV parks near me" in the area, prospective visitors should contact the park directly at (845) 434-4743 or +1 845-434-4743 to obtain current information and address any concerns before making a booking.

Jellystone Park™ Birchwood Acres Reviews
A large group of my friends and our families stayed in the 'deluxe' and 'premium' cabins last weekend. We were definitely disappointed with the accommodations. Our room was littered with mouse poop- some fresh and some that had clearly been there awhile. One friend noted their cabin had it too, even finding it in the silverware drawer. I spilled some water on the floor and wiped it up with a paper towel- it was black by the time I was done. Our sofa was lopsided and dirty. The mini-splits in the living room of our cabin and the cabin next door were unusable as the inside was completely covered with mold. One friend found a full plate of food left in the microwave in their cabin, while another was left a full pot of coffee in the coffee maker. For the price per night, I'd expect the cabins to be clean and in much better shape.Aside from the condition of the rooms, the weekend was really nice. All the kids loved trick-or-treating, using the playground, jumping on the bounce pillow, and just exploring the grounds. This was our second time coming here, but I think it will be the last, as we plan on looking elsewhere for our trip next year.
Oct 11, 2024 · Nick ALet me start by saying- DO NOT COME HERE! Now, let me explain why-It has taken me 5 months to finally write and post this review because I'm still not quite through processing my experience this summer at Jellystone Birchwood Acres. We visited this past July with my parents, my sister and brother in law, and my husband and our 2 daughters. We were celebrating their 1st and 2nd birthdays and making a family trip out of it. We grew up camping all over the United States and had always enjoyed our stays at Jellystone parks.I was SO excited to be able to share this experience with my own daughters! We got the luxury cottage and set out on what we were thinking would be a fun-filled, activity-full 5 day stay! It WAS NOT. We opted to leave 2 days early! We were met with what felt like a footprint of what once was...the playgrounds all had multiple broken and worn pieces of equipment left in disrepair and rusted over. The damage was so bad and dangerous, we weren't able to let my daughters play much in any of their playgrounds and spent our time at the swings instead. The schedule listed exciting all day programming for kids and my mom woke up early and excited to take them to "parachute with Yogi Bear"... When they arrived another family was also there looking forward to activity. The activity room was closed with the lights off. After 5 minutes a young staff member came out and asked if they were there for the activity. When they said yes he told them to come inside and turned on the lights. He went to get the other staff member who then donned the yogi costume and they pulled out an old dusty parachute and gave everyone a handle. In silence they began to raise and lower the parachute. No introductions, no songs, no greeting the children. Just silence… my father who could hold his disbelief no further just raised his phone to capture a video… they asked the staff if they had any activity planned or songs and they replied “no, this is what we do”... My parents left. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. The other activities matched in the same order- staff expecting no one to come, setting up late and running the activities as hands off as possible. It is especially sad because we booked during Christmas in July week and instead of Christmas magic we experienced broken, lackluster, and surprisingly dirty facilities and activities. The pool would be a saving grace if not for the chemicals being so high that all of our bathing suits were permanently discolored after the first swim.So sad to report- don't come here unless they renovate or at least repair the damage and re-train staff.I have to edit my review to include two more incidents or note that took place during our stay.1- we paid for the birthday package for 2 girls with a visit from Cindy bear, cake, tshirts and more...it's over $60... I called months in advance with the requested information and the shirt sizes... The day arrived for the surprise visit from Cindy bear. The bear and a staff member arrived 10 minutes late and awkwardly hand us the cake and goody bag in silence. There was no "Surprise!" "Happy Birthday" or song. The staff member explains that they are out of youth XS shirts so they brought us two youth XLs... My girls are 1 and 2 years old?! The next day when we went to the tie dye activity I was shocked to find youth XS shirts right there in a huge pile... Did they even take the time to check?Lastly we ordered pancakes for breakfast. They are given to us and when we ask for syrup they say they are out of syrup...now why would you sell pancakes and not tell someone that you're out of syrup...also why not run to the camp store and get syrup if you are serving pancakes? It was just one let down after another...
Dec 13, 2024 · Jannina Marie Galarza-LondonoTent camped here for 3 nights with family while friends stayed in their cabins. The staff on site were plentiful and helpful but our neighbor campers were blasting music well beyond quiet hours. Pros: water/splash area, community feel (very friendly environment), many small events to engage in. Cons: recreation center needs cleanup or renovating, limited golf carts to rent so if you don’t get one expect a lot of walking
Aug 24, 2024 · T C (Vervish)We’ve been coming here for many years. The staff are friendly accommodating and knowledgeable. The campground is clean and the activities are great for the kids. We haven’t missed a Candy bar bingo, DJ Chris is excellent entertainment, hosting dance parties with light shows at the pool and we’ve made many new friends to dance the night away with in the pavilion. Quiet hours start strictly at 11 but you can still enjoy a nice fire with family and friends until you’re ready for bed.
Aug 27, 2024 · Natalie HaynesEvery year, my stay here becomes a lifetime memory, thanks to the entire returning staff. From the managers to the clerks at the camp store, the daily activity guides and most importantly the grounds crew, everyone is truly unique and brings an amazing culture of love to your stay. It’s the reason I keep coming back. The bathrooms and are always clean and the grounds are kept immaculate by the staff. The daily activities for the kids are both fun and entertaining. For adults, there’s plenty to do, making our time here peaceful and enjoyable.Thank you to everyone for helping us continue this beautiful American family tradition.
