Hales Landing Campground Introduce
For local users in Decatur County, Georgia, seeking a serene and well-maintained camping experience near you, Hales Landing Campground, located in Decatur County, GA 39817, USA, presents a potentially attractive option within the "camping near me" category. While the provided information is somewhat limited, consisting of a few positive customer reviews, it offers valuable insights into the atmosphere and some of the characteristics of this campground. Based on these firsthand accounts, Hales Landing appears to be a place that prioritizes a pleasant environment and may be associated with the local sporting community and the recreational opportunities offered by Lake Seminole.
The environment of Hales Landing Campground is described as "pretty" and "great," suggesting a visually appealing natural setting. Given its location in Decatur County, Georgia, and the mention of Lake Seminole in one of the reviews, it is highly likely that the campground is situated in proximity to this significant body of water. Lake Seminole is known for its expansive area, diverse fish populations, and opportunities for boating, fishing, and other water-related activities. The environment around the lake typically features a mix of woodlands, open waters, and shoreline vegetation, providing a scenic backdrop for camping and outdoor pursuits. The quiet atmosphere mentioned in a review further indicates that Hales Landing Campground offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, allowing campers to relax and connect with nature.
While specific details about the services offered at Hales Landing Campground are not extensively outlined in the provided reviews, we can infer some aspects based on common campground offerings and the experiences shared. The mention of an annual fish fry organized by the community of sportsmen and women suggests that the campground is equipped to host events and gatherings. This could imply the presence of communal areas or facilities suitable for such activities. The fact that approximately 160 people attended the fish fry indicates a capacity to accommodate a significant number of visitors for events. However, this doesn't directly detail the standard services available to individual campers.
One reviewer specifically noted "clean bathrooms," which is a significant indicator of the campground's commitment to hygiene and guest comfort. Clean and well-maintained restroom facilities are a fundamental requirement for any reputable campground and contribute greatly to a positive camping experience. The absence of negative comments regarding other essential services might suggest that they meet a satisfactory standard, but without explicit mentions of RV hookups, tent camping areas, or other amenities, we must rely on general expectations for a campground in this region.
The features of Hales Landing Campground can be gleaned from the activities mentioned in the reviews. The annual fish fry highlights a strong connection with the local sporting community and the opportunities for fishing on Lake Seminole. This suggests that the campground may be particularly appealing to anglers and those interested in lake-based recreation. The "pretty" and "quiet" environment are features in themselves, attracting those seeking a peaceful and scenic getaway. The clean bathrooms also stand out as a notable feature contributing to a comfortable stay.
The reference to the annual fish fry taking place on the "Saturday before Veterans day" provides a temporal marker for a significant community event associated with the campground. This suggests that Hales Landing Campground might serve as a focal point for local gatherings and traditions, fostering a sense of community among its visitors and the surrounding area. For local users, this could be an appealing aspect, offering opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals and participate in local events.
Given the limited information, specific details about other potential features such as the availability of RV sites with hookups, designated tent camping areas, fire pits, picnic tables, or recreational facilities (playgrounds, etc.) are not provided. Similarly, information about access to Lake Seminole (e.g., boat ramps, swimming areas) directly from the campground is not available but can be inferred as a strong possibility given the context of the fish fry and the lake's importance to the region.
As there are no explicit mentions of promotional offers or discounts in the provided reviews, we cannot comment on any specific deals that Hales Landing Campground might be running. To obtain information about pricing, availability, and any potential promotions, interested local users would need to seek additional information from other online sources (if available) or, ideally, contact the campground directly if a phone number or website can be found through further research. It is common for campgrounds to offer seasonal rates or discounts for longer stays, but this would need to be confirmed with the campground itself.
In conclusion, based on the available information, Hales Landing Campground in Decatur County, Georgia, appears to be a "great" and "pretty" place offering a quiet and clean camping environment. Its likely proximity to Lake Seminole suggests opportunities for fishing and other water activities, and it serves as a venue for community events like the annual sportsmen's fish fry. The mention of clean bathrooms indicates a commitment to basic comfort and hygiene. For local users seeking a peaceful camping retreat with potential access to Lake Seminole and a connection to the local sporting community, Hales Landing Campground is worth further investigation. To obtain specific details about services, features, and any promotional offers, additional research and direct contact with the campground (if possible) would be necessary.

Itll print a ticket to clip to the lot number post you paid for. Open year round just come between 7am-10pm if you want to get a campsite. Electric, water, and there is a camping grills, fire pits, and picnic tables. There is also a restroom with showers. Just some information I had trouble finding before coming out here ourselves.
