You can reach them at (229) 662-9273 or +1 229-662-9273 for inquiries and last-minute bookings. Based on recent customer feedback, this campground offers scenic beauty, basic yet functional amenities, and a variety of camping options.
The environment of East Bank Campground is a significant draw, with reviewers consistently highlighting the "beautiful views" and "amazing sunsets." The campground's location on the east bank of a lake provides picturesque scenery and opportunities to enjoy waterfront vistas directly from your campsite. The presence of water also suggests potential for water-related activities, although these are not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews. The overall atmosphere is described as pleasant and conducive to relaxation, particularly when enjoying the natural beauty of the area.
East Bank Campground offers both RV and primitive tent camping sites. For RVers, the availability of specific site numbers, such as A05 mentioned in a review, suggests designated RV areas within the campground. While hookup details are not specified, the fact that RVs are accommodated indicates the presence of necessary utilities. Tent campers who prefer a more secluded experience will appreciate the primitive sites, which are located away from the RV areas. This separation allows for a quieter and more immersed natural camping experience for tent campers.
In terms of services and amenities, East Bank Campground provides essential facilities for a comfortable stay. The bathrooms and showers are reported to be clean, although one reviewer noted that they are "dated." This suggests that while the facilities are well-maintained in terms of cleanliness, they may not be the newest or most modern. A notable and appreciated amenity is the availability of a washer and dryer, which are free for guests to use. This is a significant convenience, especially for longer stays or for travelers who need to do laundry on the road.
One practical consideration highlighted by a tent camper is the issue of ant infestation. The reviewer noted that the ant situation was "definitely worse than usual form Florida here" and strongly advised keeping all food in the car if possible. This is an important piece of local knowledge for anyone planning to camp at East Bank Campground, particularly those in primitive tent sites where food storage options might be more limited. Taking precautions to secure food and prevent ant problems is recommended.
The campground's ability to accommodate last-minute bookings efficiently is also mentioned as a positive aspect. One reviewer who arrived without prior reservation was able to get a site quickly, indicating a responsive and accommodating management. This can be particularly valuable for travelers whose plans change unexpectedly.
Based on the available customer reviews, the features of East Bank Campground include:
- Beautiful views of the lake.
- Amazing sunset vistas.
- Clean bathrooms and showers (though dated).
- Free to use washer and dryer (one of each).
- Designated RV camping sites (with likely hookups, though not specified).
- Secluded primitive tent camping sites away from RVs.
- Basic amenities provided.
- Efficient and fast service for last-minute check-ins.
- A location that may be prone to ant infestations, requiring careful food storage.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for East Bank Campground in the provided reviews. However, the positive mentions of the scenic views, the convenience of free laundry, and the availability of both RV and secluded tent sites serve as attractions for different types of campers. For local users seeking a "camping near me" with a focus on natural beauty and essential amenities, East Bank Campground offers a compelling option.
For residents of Bainbridge and the surrounding areas, East Bank Campground provides a local getaway with the added bonus of lakeside scenery. Whether you prefer the convenience of RV camping with hookups or the more rustic experience of primitive tent camping, this campground offers both. The free laundry facilities are a particularly valuable amenity for longer stays. While the dated nature of the bathrooms is noted, their cleanliness is a positive aspect. The advisory about ant infestation is crucial for tent campers to be aware of and plan for accordingly.
When planning your visit to East Bank Campground, it is advisable to call the provided phone numbers to inquire about the specific amenities available at the RV sites (e.g., water, electricity, sewer hookups), the nature of the primitive tent sites, and any specific guidelines or recommendations regarding food storage to prevent issues with ants. Confirming reservation procedures, especially during peak seasons, is also recommended. East Bank Campground Reviews
Great campground. We stayed in A05. Beautiful views. Amazing sunsets. Bathrooms and showers are clean but dated. One washer and one dryer which both worked well and are free to use.
Apr 18, 2025 · Jill DuckworthWent here last minute to camp and they were able to get us in fast and efficiently. We were in a primitive site with a tent so our area was away from the RVs which was nice and secluded. Basic amenities and a really beautiful view of the lake. Only downside was the ant infestation, definitely worse than usual form Florida here. Just keep all food in your car if possible.
Feb 11, 2025 · Randall BrockGreat sites, clean landscaping, good value. Not much to do locally, so you need to enjoy sunsets, fishing, boating, kayaking/canoeing, biking, etc. Bathrooms and showers need to be modernized. Free laundry was a plus.
Apr 07, 2025 · Charles LaffertyThis is a lovely quiet campground. We had site 27 in section C and had stunning sunsets, this goes on with brilliant colors for 40 minutes. Campsites spacious and private, nice for dog walking. Showers seem to be heated and they were always available with plenty of hot water. Bike riding or walking to the damn. Good place for fishing. Didn't see any kids here, not much for them to do.
Mar 03, 2025 · Donna FinneranNice campground. Even in December busy busy!!! Too bad the crabby lady at the front campground office soured the arrival experience with her poor customer service sklils ( or lack thereof) Big Rigs here. Dated bathroom and shower. Free hot water shower. Sites are easy to pull into. Very flat. Electric hook ups and water. I don’t think they have sewer. But there is no privacy between the sites.
