This campground provides a welcome escape from the typical crowded RV parks, emphasizing peace, quiet, and a connection with nature.
The environment surrounding Chattahoochee RV Campground & Fishing Resort is characterized by its rural setting and proximity to significant natural and recreational areas. Situated near the town of Chattahoochee, the campground benefits from a sense of seclusion while still offering access to local attractions. Notably, the campground is located next to a large city park that features Lake Seminole and a dam. According to recent customer reviews, the atmosphere at Chattahoochee RV Campground & Fishing Resort is notably "very quiet and spacious." One guest highlighted the ample space between RV sites, mentioning that the "closest other RV was 100 feet away." This generous spacing ensures a sense of privacy and tranquility that is often appreciated by RV travelers seeking a peaceful rest. The availability of "lots of space to walk dogs and see the stars" further underscores the open and natural environment of the campground, making it a potentially pet-friendly option (though it's always best to confirm specific pet policies with the management).
In terms of services and features, the campground offers essential amenities for RV travelers. Both reviewers mentioned that "all the electric sewer and water at each site was perfect" and that "full hookups all worked great." This indicates that each RV site is equipped with reliable connections for electricity, sewage, and water, which are fundamental for a comfortable RV camping experience. Additionally, one reviewer noted that the campsite was "mostly level," which is a significant advantage for easy setup and comfortable parking of RVs.
While the campground prioritizes a natural and quiet environment, it also provides essential facilities for guest convenience. However, it's worth noting that another guest described the "bath/shower" as "adequate but not anything special," suggesting that while functional, they might not be luxurious. This aligns with the general sentiment that the campground offers good value and a nice rest rather than five-star accommodations.
The friendly and helpful nature of the host is also a recurring positive point in the reviews. One guest specifically mentioned a "great friendly host," which can significantly enhance the overall camping experience, providing a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

Chattahoochee RV Campground & Fishing Resort Reviews
Great friendly host. Very quiet and spacious. All the electric sewer and water at each site was perfect. Hardly anyone else there. Felt safe and secure. Lots of space to walk dogs and see the stars. Not your typical city park type for RVs. If you expect 5 star accommodation this isn’t for you. If you want a good value and nice rest this is excellent. Very rural feeling. Bath/shower was adequate but not anything special.
Dec 17, 2024 · Lisa ClagettSpent a week camping here. Closest other RV was 100 feet away. Full hookups all worked great. Campsite was mostly level. Large city park with Lake Siminole and a dam are next to the campground. Friendly staff and clean bath house.
Dec 27, 2023 · Ken ShainkerSpacious campground attached to the city park featuring restrooms, showers, level pads, pavilion with electricity, and gated entrance.Billy, the camp host, was friendly & accommodating.Great spot for the touring bicyclist.
Dec 24, 2023 · Katarina AuerWe were in site 11 on the end. All of the sites are spaced well apart. This spot made it fairly easy to back our 40 ' Fifth wheel into place. There is an amazing amount of room for walking the dog, and there's also a wonderful city park beside the big Apalachicola River. The camp host is a great guy and will do what he can to make your stay a good one. We will definitely be back! I didn't use the shower or restrooms.
Jan 03, 2022 · Lynn HasteThe city has worked hard upgrading this RV park. 30&50 amp power with full hook-up. RV sites are rocks and long. Sites are well spaced. A gated and fenced campground. Has been quiet and a pleasant stay during the 4th of July weekend. Close to the river and lake Seminole. Billy is very helpful and easy to work with.
