We were heading to Silver Springs, running away from Alexander Springs (site w no electricity n they told us not to use generator at night, being there w kids its a nightmare w/o generator). Anyways, we were looking for available RV park down the road. Most of them I called weren’t available as it was a short notice (around 1 hour ahead). To my surprise this RV park was available with only 2 spots left. We decided to choose the one that was in the middle of a park. Its a senior RV park community but people there were super nice. From the office lady (Im very sorry but Im not good with remembering names, but this sweet lady that answered my call and the one who introduced everything to us on June 5, 2021 - thank you a lot!).I even let my 6 years old boy to ride his bike around because the community was not only super friendly, there were other kids his age and it felt so safe being there. It was my husband birthday (June 5) and we went to local Tiki Hut bar and ppl there were so nice and friendly. They even gave our kids some piece of chalks to draw on their floor (we were sitting outside). Unfortunately this place doesn’t have much on their menu but we were thankful for what we had.My husband had an idea if we could get a boat bc they have this nice looking lake - Lake Bryant. We checked Google maps n couldn’t find any boats for rent. Lastly, we called the lady at the office and explain the situation. She said she’ll try to help us but cant guarantee anything. After 20mins we got a call back from her, she said that a son of its residency has a pontoon boat and will be waiting for us at the lake. We agreed to pay him specific amount and he agreed on it saying we can ride a whole day until the boat will be out of gas. He was super nice, friendly, local to this area, we even rode to a quit river where we were expecting to see alligators. We didn’t see none but it was a great experience for kids. A guy also gave a wheel to ride a boat to my 6y.o. son by himself, OMG! How cool! It was such an amazing experience for him, he was very proud to do so. We fly over a drone, stand on a middle of a lake and had some dive into the water. A guy even took my guys back to our RV on his Golf cart, so cool. It took us about an hour but this was one of the coolest experience there at their RV park.Next morning, on June 6, 2021 we opened our door from our RV and see a huge watermelon that was sitting inside on a beach chair. One of a neighbor heard about us and decided to surprise us. Kids were super excited, too. But I was about to cry how nice and sweet gesture it was. Later this neighbor showed up and told my husband that this watermelon is from local farms here. So caring! We live in South Florida (Miami area) and as many ppl say its not USA, its a different country. Not many ppl are nice and friendly in general. So after spending some time here (Lake Bryant RV Park) we were so touched by its people there.Thank you so much for such a welcoming and wonderful stay! Thank you for being such nice to us! We will never forget our stay there! The only 2 negative things was: 1) I tried to wash some kids clothes and the washing machine wasn’t working (like none of them). I honestly dont remember the system on how it was working, either it was with coins (and they were not going down when I try to push them to close), or if it was with a card, it wasn’t working. I tried some of them, read instruction very careful but no luck. I got there very late, around 12AM and there was of course no one around to ask.2) the outside public bathroom/shower were filled with some nightlight flying insects and it was impossible to shower there. - Marina Koman

Lake Bryant MH & RV Park Introduce

For local users in the Ocklawaha, Florida area, who are searching for "RV parks near me," Lake Bryant MH & RV Park, located at 5000 SE 183rd Avenue Rd, Ocklawaha, FL 32179, offers a unique and highly welcoming experience, according to recent customer feedback. With contact numbers (352) 625-1991 and +1 352-625-1991, it appears readily accessible for inquiries and reservations. While described as a "senior RV park community," the reviews highlight a friendly atmosphere that extends to visitors of all ages, coupled with access to the beautiful Lake Bryant and a strong sense of community spirit.

One of the most striking aspects emphasized in the glowing review is the exceptional friendliness and helpfulness of both the staff and the residents. The reviewer, who arrived on short notice, was met with availability and warmth from the "office lady" who is remembered fondly for her helpfulness during the initial call and upon arrival. This positive first impression set the tone for an overwhelmingly pleasant stay.

The sense of safety and community is another significant feature. The reviewer, traveling with a six-year-old, felt comfortable allowing their child to ride a bike around the park, noting the friendly atmosphere and the presence of other children of similar age. This feeling of safety and the welcoming nature of the community can be a major draw for families and individuals seeking a secure and sociable environment.

The local area also contributed positively to the experience. A visit to a nearby Tiki Hut bar on the husband's birthday was met with similar friendliness from the locals, who even engaged the children in a thoughtful way. While the menu at the Tiki Hut was limited, the overall positive interaction highlights the welcoming nature of the surrounding community.

A unique and memorable feature of Lake Bryant MH & RV Park is its access to the picturesque Lake Bryant. The reviewer's desire to rent a boat led to an extraordinary display of community spirit and helpfulness. The office staff went above and beyond by connecting the visitors with a resident's son who owned a pontoon boat. This led to an unforgettable day on the lake, including a boat ride, exploration of a quiet river (albeit without alligator sightings!), and even the opportunity for the young child to steer the boat. This level of personal connection and willingness to assist guests is truly remarkable.

The generosity and kindness of the residents were further exemplified by a neighbor's surprise of a large, locally sourced watermelon left on the family's beach chair the following morning. This unexpected and thoughtful gesture deeply touched the visitors, especially coming from a region where such neighborly warmth is reportedly less common.

The reviewer, originally from the Miami area, contrasted the community at Lake Bryant MH & RV Park with their experiences in South Florida, emphasizing the genuine kindness and friendliness encountered in Ocklawaha. This heartfelt appreciation underscores the welcoming and supportive environment of the park.

However, the review also objectively points out two negative aspects experienced during the stay:

  1. Non-Functional Washing Machines: The laundry facilities were reportedly not working, with issues encountered in operating multiple machines, whether due to coin mechanisms or a card system. This inconvenience, especially for travelers needing to do laundry, is a point that potential guests should be aware of and perhaps inquire about the current status of the laundry facilities.
  2. Insect-Filled Public Bathrooms/Showers: The outdoor public bathroom and shower facilities were described as being filled with night-flying insects, making them unusable. This is another area that potential guests might want to inquire about regarding maintenance and pest control.

Despite these two drawbacks, the reviewer's overall impression is overwhelmingly positive, concluding that "the staff is beyond nice and helpful." This suggests that while there might be some issues with certain facilities, the exceptional service and the welcoming community significantly outweigh these negatives for many visitors.

Based on this detailed review, Lake Bryant MH & RV Park offers the following environment, services, and features:

  • Strong Sense of Community Spirit: Evidenced by the neighborly gestures and willingness to help visitors.
  • Quiet and Relaxing Atmosphere: While described as a senior community, it appears welcoming to all ages seeking a peaceful stay.
