Lake James Forest RV Park Introduce
When searching for "RV Parks Near Me," it's essential to find a location that aligns with your specific needs and preferences. Lake James Forest RV Park, situated at 1559 Old Hwy 10 E, Marion, NC 28752, USA, presents a unique opportunity for those seeking a long-term or seasonal RV experience with a strong sense of community and proximity to the beautiful Lake James. Based on available reviews, this park offers a distinct environment with specific characteristics that potential residents should carefully consider.
One of the frequently mentioned highlights of Lake James Forest RV Park is its location. It is described as a "great place to get away" and offers convenient access to Lake James, either via a short golf cart ride or within walking distance. This proximity to the lake provides opportunities for various recreational activities and enjoying the natural beauty of the area. For those who appreciate being close to the water, this is a significant advantage.
The park is also noted for its friendly atmosphere. One reviewer describes it as a "very Friendly campground where everyone is like family!" This suggests a close-knit community where residents can build relationships and enjoy a sense of belonging. For individuals looking for a social and supportive environment, this aspect of Lake James Forest RV Park could be very appealing.
Another key feature that distinguishes Lake James Forest RV Park is its ownership model. It is explicitly stated that "This is not a rent campground it is a buy and stay campground." This means that instead of renting a lot on a short-term or long-term basis, individuals purchase their lot and then stay within the park. This model fosters a greater sense of ownership and investment within the community, contributing to its stability and the neighborly atmosphere.
The park is also characterized as "Clean, quiet and a great place for a summer vacation home!!" This description suggests that Lake James Forest RV Park prioritizes a peaceful and well-maintained environment. The quiet atmosphere can be particularly attractive to those seeking a tranquil retreat away from more bustling campgrounds. The suitability as a "summer vacation home" indicates that it is well-equipped for seasonal stays and provides a relaxing environment for leisure.
However, it is crucial to consider all aspects of the reviews to gain a comprehensive understanding of Lake James Forest RV Park. One reviewer mentions that it is a "Quit park with very strict rules" and states, "Its not for those who travel. You must be 55 to live there." This indicates a significant age restriction for residency, making it primarily a community for individuals aged 55 and over. This is a critical piece of information for anyone considering living at the park.
Furthermore, the same reviewer points out several limitations regarding services. They mention "no trash pick up, no internet unless you pay for it yourself they do have cable hook up but at your own expense. Rent is high considering they don't offer anything just a lot to park a camper. Very strick rules. I do not recommend this place." While this review uses the term "rent," it's important to remember the park operates on a "buy and stay" model. The high cost likely refers to the initial purchase price and ongoing lot fees. The lack of included amenities like trash pickup and internet, as well as the extra cost for cable, are important factors to consider when evaluating the overall value and suitability of the park.
The mention of "very strict rules" in both positive and negative reviews suggests that Lake James Forest RV Park has a well-defined set of regulations in place. While these rules may contribute to the quiet and orderly environment appreciated by some, they may be perceived as restrictive by others, particularly those accustomed to more flexible campground settings or those who are frequent travelers rather than seasonal or long-term residents.
The positive review also mentions the proximity to the "Marion Moose Lodge where they have great food, beverages and activities!" This suggests that while the park itself may have limited on-site amenities, there are nearby options for dining and entertainment, potentially expanding the recreational opportunities for residents.
In conclusion, Lake James Forest RV Park offers a unique "buy and stay" experience for those seeking a quiet, friendly community with access to Lake James in Marion, NC. It appears to be particularly well-suited for individuals aged 55 and over looking for a seasonal or long-term summer vacation home. However, potential residents should be aware of the strict rules and the fact that certain amenities like trash pickup and internet are not included in the lot fees. The higher cost likely reflects the ownership model and the desirable location near the lake. It is recommended that interested individuals inquire directly about the specific rules, fees, and purchase process to determine if Lake James Forest RV Park aligns with their lifestyle and expectations when searching for "RV Parks Near Me." This park offers a specific type of RV living that may be ideal for some while not suitable for others, making thorough research and consideration essential.

Dec 28, 2020 · Mechelle ReelNice quite RV park for people over 55 to have an RV. Has a swimming pool and you can walk down a trail to Lake James. The people there are friendly. You can only own an RV if you are over 55 and only people over 55 can live there.
Sep 13, 2022 · Debi RossI've lived in the RV park for three years and this is the happiest I've been in years! No drama, sweet neighbors, and the woods are awesome to walk thru to the lake. Owners that take no garbage. I love it!
Nov 02, 2022 · Cynthia HughesI rented a space there, Ann decided she liked my ex boyfriend more than me. I was there less than 5 months, she actively tried to have me arrested for a made up charge that the sheriff's department told me about, I left after she moved my ex into park and helped him harrass me until I was forced to go to a domestic violence shelter for my safety. She entered my trailer without my permission repeatedly. She is not the park manager, but tells everybody she is, the lady that was there before me left due to the same treatment. My trailer was broken into more than 4x, my vital records were stolen and there are numerous police reports where the sheriffs office was called by me for her harrassment. One instance a large gutted frog was left in my steps and another time when my trailer was broken into, a large black crowbar was left in my bed. I would come home and my outside power switch would be off and all my foods in freezer and refrigerator was spoiled, etc. People in the trailer park were constantly having to deal with similar situations with her. Mc Dowell county building inspectors came out numerous times due the construction that was being done in park by Ann and her brother without any authorized building permits. This lady?? was extremely nice to other men in park, but did not make friends with the women or have any friends. This is alldocumented by sheriff's reports.
