Lakeside Travel Park Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the Tallahassee, Florida area, Lakeside Travel Park, located at 6401 W Tennessee St, Tallahassee, FL 32304, USA, presents itself as an evolving option. You can reach them at (850) 574-5998 or their mobile number +1 850-574-5998 to inquire about their current status, availability, and suitability for your RV travel needs.
Based on recent customer reviews, Lakeside Travel Park is currently undergoing significant changes under new ownership. One reviewer noted that the manager explained that the property has been under rehabilitation for several months, with ongoing work still anticipated. This information suggests that while the park may be in a transitional phase, the new owners are actively investing in improvements. Potential guests should be aware that the park might be "a little rough around the edges" at this time due to the ongoing renovations.
Despite the ongoing work, the reviewer found Lakeside Travel Park to be a "safe, reasonably priced overnight stop." This highlights two key advantages: safety and affordability. For RV travelers seeking a secure place to park for the night without breaking the bank, especially if they are just passing through Tallahassee, Lakeside Travel Park could be a viable option. Its proximity to facilities where maintenance was scheduled for the reviewer's vehicle also suggests that the location might be convenient for certain needs or appointments within the city.
Another practical aspect mentioned in the review is the strong cellular service, with "Verizon and T-Mobile signals both had full service." This is an important consideration for many RVers who rely on their mobile devices for communication, navigation, and entertainment while traveling.
Beyond the practicalities, Lakeside Travel Park also offers a natural and welcoming environment. One reviewer enthusiastically shared, "The people are warm and friendly." This positive feedback about the community atmosphere can significantly enhance the overall experience of staying at an RV park, making guests feel more comfortable and welcome.
A significant natural feature of Lakeside Travel Park is its access to a lake. The reviewer mentioned walking over to the lake every day and finding it "so beautiful" with abundant wildlife. This lakefront access provides opportunities for scenic walks, nature observation, and potentially other water-related activities, adding to the appeal for those who appreciate natural surroundings. The reviewer specifically noted the presence of geese, even describing an interaction where a resident had them eating out of their hands, suggesting a close connection with the local wildlife.
However, one potential drawback mentioned in the first review is that "The park was very brightly lit at night, which may be a problem for some." While good lighting can contribute to safety and security, some individuals may find overly bright lights disruptive to their sleep or their enjoyment of the night sky. If you are sensitive to bright lights at night, this is a factor to consider and potentially inquire about with the park management.

The ongoing renovations suggest a potential for future improvements that could further enhance the park's appeal.

Lakeside Travel Park Reviews
This park is a work in progress. The manager explained that new owners have been rehabbing the property for several months, with lots of work still ahead. Although it’s a little rough around the edges, it was a safe, reasonably priced overnight stop, close to the facility where we had some maintenance scheduled for early the next morning. The park was very brightly lit at night, which may be a problem for some. Verizon and T-Mobile signals both had full service.

Apr 17, 2024 · GoroninthemuddStayed a couple nights while visiting our family in Tallahassee. Great location and access. Betty at the office is a Gem! She helped us with a stress free late check in and really makes sure you are completely cared for during your stay. Easy pull through site, plenty of room, all hook ups worked perfectly, convenient trash location, fast free WiFi, and laundry area was spotless! Highly recommend!!!
Nov 05, 2023 · John QuinterosThis is a very basic park. Your RV sits on grass, but you can get electricity and sewer for about $60. You can get a 50% discount with Passport America. Our site was not level. The bathroom is old but it was clean. We didn't use the showers because someone had obviously been smoking in there. Staff is friendly and helpful. It's right off the 90 in Tallahassee so the location is very convenient. Lots of long term campers live there.
Apr 11, 2024 · Julie ZalaceSpent one night while traveling. Grassy pads. Security light was right above our site. The light made me feel safer however I am glad that I had black-out shades! A resident saw us pull in and helped us to our site. Easy on and off the highway. Would stay again for a one night stay.
