Lone Star RV Park Introduce
Looking for an RV park in the Tazewell, Tennessee area? Lone Star RV Park, located at 134 Lone Mountain Boat Dock Ln, Tazewell, TN 37879, USA, might be an option to consider within the "RV Parks Near Me" category. You can reach them at (606) 682-2956 or their mobile number, +1 606-682-2956 for inquiries and reservations. Based on recent customer feedback available online, here's a detailed introduction to the environment, services, and features of Lone Star RV Park to help local users make an informed decision.
One of the frequently highlighted aspects of Lone Star RV Park is the friendliness and helpfulness of its staff. According to a recent review, the staff, possibly including the owners, are very accommodating. One visitor even mentioned that Kevin, presumably a staff member, expertly parked their RV rig for them, which is a significant gesture of service, especially for those new to maneuvering larger vehicles. This emphasis on friendly and helpful service suggests a welcoming atmosphere for travelers seeking a comfortable stop within the "RV Parks Near Me" listings.
Safety is another positive point raised by a visitor, who mentioned feeling secure during their stay and indicated a willingness to return. Feeling safe is a crucial factor for RV travelers, and this positive feedback suggests that Lone Star RV Park prioritizes the well-being of its guests. This aspect can be particularly appealing to individuals and families searching for a secure environment within the "RV Parks Near Me" platform.
However, it's important to consider some of the less favorable aspects mentioned in the reviews. One visitor described the journey to the RV park as challenging, noting that it involved traveling "miles on a very narrow road," which they found "harrowing" with their 40' fifth-wheel trailer. This information is crucial for potential visitors, especially those with larger RVs, as navigating narrow roads can be stressful and potentially difficult. It's advisable for those with larger rigs to consider this aspect carefully before deciding to stay at Lone Star RV Park.
Another significant point raised in the reviews concerns the composition of the RV park. It was mentioned that a large majority, around 99%, of the sites are occupied by permanent residents. While the reviewer noted a "healthy mixture of old & new campers" among these residents, the prevalence of permanent sites might influence the overall atmosphere and availability of short-term spots. Travelers looking for a more transient, vacation-oriented RV park experience within the "RV Parks Near Me" category should be aware of this characteristic of Lone Star RV Park.
Furthermore, the same reviewer described the aesthetic condition of many of the sites (though not the campers themselves) as "trashy looking," with "LOTS of debris, especially at the back of the park." This is a significant concern regarding the environment of the RV park. While individual experiences can vary, this feedback suggests a potential issue with the upkeep or cleanliness of some areas within the park. Potential visitors who prioritize a well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing environment should take this into consideration when browsing "RV Parks Near Me."
Regarding the infrastructure of the RV park, the reviewer noted that the campground roads are paved, which is generally a positive feature for ease of movement within the park. However, they also pointed out that these paved roads are "very narrow, with a huge drop off on the sides in places." This reinforces the concern about navigating larger RVs within the park itself, in addition to the narrow road leading to it. Maneuvering a large rig on narrow roads with significant drop-offs requires extra caution and skill.
In summary, Lone Star RV Park in Tazewell, TN, offers a friendly and helpful staff and a location that at least one visitor found safe. However, potential visitors should be aware of the following:
- Difficult Access: The road leading to the park is reported to be very narrow and potentially challenging for large RVs.
- Prevalence of Permanent Residents: The vast majority of sites are occupied by long-term residents, which might affect the overall atmosphere.
- Condition of Some Sites: Some areas of the park are described as having a significant amount of debris and looking "trashy."
- Narrow Roads Within the Park: The paved roads within the RV park are also narrow with drop-offs, potentially making navigation difficult for larger rigs.
While the friendly staff is a definite positive, the concerns raised about the accessibility and the condition of some areas are important factors for local users searching for "RV Parks Near Me" to consider. It is recommended that potential visitors weigh these pros and cons based on their individual needs and preferences. If you are comfortable with narrow roads and prefer a park with a strong sense of community due to long-term residents, and if the reported aesthetic issues are not a major concern for you, Lone Star RV Park might still be a viable option, especially given the positive feedback about the staff. However, those with large RVs or those prioritizing a pristine environment might want to explore other options within the "RV Parks Near Me" category in the Tazewell, TN area.

Lone Star RV Park Reviews
Very friendly & helpful staff (owners?). Kevin even expertly parked our rig for us. I felt safe, and would stay there again.Had to travel miles on a very narrow road to get to it (was harrowing with our 40' 5er!). 99% of the sites have permanent residents, with a healthy mixture of old & new campers. However, most of the sites (not the campers) are "trashy" looking - LOTS of debris, especially at the back of the park. The CG's roads are paved, but very narrow, with a huge drop off on the sides in places.

Mar 27, 2025 · Trey BensonThey don't fix anything and when you contact them they still don't fix whatever it is that is messed up like your meter or the septic system. I have lived here for a year and they still haven't fixed the septic system so a lot of the time when you step outside of your camper it smells like rotting sewage especially in the summer. If I could leave a -5 star review I would. I don't recommend this place if I were you I would go elsewhere
Sep 12, 2023 · Iris MitchellThis place is awful. If you like the smell of raw sewage and living around crack heads and loud obnoxious people, then this is the place for you! Do yourself a favor and find another camp ground, because this is not the one to go to. I've been living here for a year and they don't fix or change anything. You will likely have issues with the meter and they won't fix it either.
