Love's RV Stop Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Mansfield, Louisiana area, Love's RV Stop, situated at 1940 US-84, Mansfield, LA 71052, USA, is one option to consider. You can contact them at (318) 575-5123 or +1 318-575-5123 for inquiries about availability and current conditions. It's important to note that recent customer reviews provide insights into the current state of the park that potential visitors should be aware of.
Love's RV Stop, as part of the "RV parks near me" category, aims to serve travelers seeking a place to park their recreational vehicles and access necessary utilities. However, recent feedback from guests indicates that the park has been experiencing some significant maintenance and operational challenges. These issues appear to affect the functionality of essential services and the overall comfort of the stay.
Several reviewers have reported problems with the electrical power at multiple sites within the RV park. One guest recounted having to move twice to find a space with properly working power, which unfortunately resulted in a situation where there was insufficient room to maneuver a power wheelchair out of their vehicle. Another reviewer, a retired electrician, also experienced power issues, specifically noting a bad connection somewhere in the electrical distribution system after checking multiple sites with a voltmeter. This suggests a potentially widespread problem with the electrical infrastructure that may affect multiple sites.
In addition to electrical problems, a strong sewage smell has been a recurring issue reported by multiple guests. One reviewer mentioned that the smell was so potent that it seemed to have flooded the first handicap space they tried to use. This resulted in the guest having to discard footwear that was soaked while attempting to get the power working in that initial location. The persistence of the sewage smell, particularly after rainfall, is a significant concern for the comfort and sanitation of the park.
Furthermore, the physical condition of some of the hookup sites has been called into question. One guest reported that a 50-amp hookup in one of the spaces lacked a faceplate entirely, posing a potential safety hazard. The reviewers also noted issues with drainage and ground conditions, particularly during heavy rainfall. One guest described the grass as being soaked, making it impossible to use a power wheelchair without additional support like plywood. Additionally, several sewer dumps were reportedly covered with floodwater from the rain, while others were not, indicating inconsistent drainage across the park.
One reviewer described the park as "fairly new construction" that is "not maintained very well." This observation suggests that the infrastructure may be relatively recent but has not been kept in optimal condition, leading to the issues with power, sewage, and drainage that guests have experienced.
The location of Love's RV Stop adjacent to a truck stop is another factor that potential visitors should consider. One reviewer explicitly mentioned that the noise level is comparable to that of a truck stop, with trucks running auxiliary power units (APUs) throughout the night. This could be a significant concern for light sleepers or those seeking a quiet and peaceful environment.
Despite these significant issues, one reviewer did note that the manager was courteous and expressed a desire for the guest to return, stating that they were in the process of correcting what needed attention. This suggests that the management is aware of the problems and is taking steps to address them. However, the fact that similar issues, such as the electrical problems, were reported over a two-week period indicates that the corrective actions may still be ongoing or not yet fully resolved.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Mansfield, Louisiana, it is crucial to weigh these recent experiences when considering Love's RV Stop. While the park may offer a convenient location along US-84, the reported issues with electrical power, sewage smells, drainage, and noise from the adjacent truck stop are significant drawbacks that could impact the quality of your stay. The fact that maintenance is reportedly underway is a positive sign, but potential visitors should inquire about the current status of these issues before making a reservation.
Given the information available from recent reviews, it would be prudent for anyone considering Love's RV Stop to contact the management directly to get an update on the specific issues that have been raised. Inquire about the availability of fully functional power hookups at all sites, the current status of the sewage smell and drainage problems, and any measures that have been taken to mitigate the noise from the truck stop. It might also be helpful to ask about the age of the facilities and the timeline for any ongoing maintenance or repairs.
As a platform for "RV parks near me," it is our aim to provide an objective overview based on available information. In the case of Love's RV Stop, the recent customer feedback paints a picture of a park that is currently facing some operational and maintenance challenges. While the management appears to be responsive and working on these issues, potential guests should be aware of these reported problems and exercise caution. It may be wise to seek confirmation that the necessary repairs have been completed and that the park is currently offering a comfortable and fully functional experience before booking a stay.
In conclusion, while Love's RV Stop is located in Mansfield, Louisiana, and may be a convenient option for travelers along US-84, recent reviews highlight significant concerns regarding electrical power, sewage smells, drainage, and noise from the adjacent truck stop. Potential visitors should contact the park management directly at (318) 575-5123 or +1 318-575-5123 to obtain the most current information on the status of these issues and to make an informed decision about whether this RV park meets their needs and expectations for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

Love's RV Stop Reviews
We had to move twice to find a space with properly working power, which left us with no room to get the power wheel chair out of the vehicle. The sewage smell is very strong and seems to have flooded the first handicap apace we tried. I had to throw out my footwear that was soaked trying to get the power to work in the first space. The second space had no faceplate whatsoever for the 50 amp hookup! So we moved to a third space. All of this during a quite heavy rainfall. The grass is soaked, so there is no way the power chair can get out or back in without additional ground support, like a sheet of plywood or something. It seems like a fairly new construction, that is not maintained very well. Several sewer dumps were covered with the “floodwater“ from the rain, while others were not. I would caution you to wear disposable footwear! I hope they get this taken care of.The manager is courteous and asks that I will return, and they are in the process of correcting what needs attention.
Feb 19, 2025 · Imagination CardsPulled in to Spot 20. Issue with the electric power. Same as the review from 2 weeks ago. Checked multiple sites, all with power issues. Finally found a 30amp that worked. Reported this to the customer service line. I’m a retired electrician that checked with a voltmeter. Bad connection somewhere in the distribution. Brand new setup that needs attention. Same issue with sewer smell as well, after a hard rain. The park is right next to the truck stop so expect the noise level to be the same (trucks running APUs all night).
Mar 09, 2025 · LaValley GroupMy husband and I are back on the road again, and we couldn't resist stopping at our favorite travel pit stop—Love's! This time, we found ourselves in Mansfield, LA, conveniently located just off I-49 and U.S. Highway 84.What a gem this Love's location is! They offer an RV campground with 21 sites, perfect for those traveling with their home on wheels. Although there’s no sewer dump, the amenities are still fantastic. The store itself was impressively clean and well-stocked, making it easy to grab snacks and essentials. The highlight, however, was the friendly staff who went above and beyond to make our visit pleasant. With 16 gas pumps available, we never had to wait long to fill up.If you're traveling through this area, I highly recommend stopping at this Love's. You won’t be disappointed! 🚐💨❤️
Nov 09, 2024 · Therese WintersOk for a quick nightly stop. $46 and no sewer seems steep. The site we picked flooded with 10" of water. It was not terrible just seems like it wasn't ready for prime time. It was very clean. The exit gate was left open and there was someone sleeping in their car blocking our truck in the morning. Like I said not terrible place just a little extras would help.
Jan 21, 2025 · Josh McNurlenThis was a quick overnight stop. We pulled in late and left fairly early. Didn’t understand from the website that some of the sites (the longer ones) have full hook-ups. The others I believe are just electric. We reserved the wrong kind but they worked with us to move to another pad. Great service, convenient, and far enough from the Love’s station to where we weren’t bothered by noise. Recommend.
