Lyndon Lawn Manufactured Home Community Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" with a focus on long-term living in a senior-friendly environment? Lyndon Lawn Manufactured Home Community, located at 1208 Watertown Rd, Central Square, NY 13036, USA, is a 55+ manufactured home community that might be of interest. You can reach them by phone at (315) 462-9401 or their mobile number +1 315-462-9401 for inquiries and to learn more about their offerings.
Lyndon Lawn distinguishes itself as a senior park, specifically for residents aged 55 and over. This focus often fosters a community atmosphere tailored to the needs and lifestyles of active adults and retirees. Unlike typical "RV parks near me" that may have a more transient population, Lyndon Lawn offers a more stable, long-term living arrangement where residents own their manufactured homes and lease the land on which they reside. This model allows for personalization of living spaces and the development of a strong sense of community among residents.
Based on the available customer reviews, the environment of Lyndon Lawn appears to be a key aspect. One reviewer describes the community as "well kept," indicating attention to the maintenance and aesthetics of the grounds. Another highlights the park's location as being "a little bit away from everything else," suggesting a sense of seclusion and exclusivity that some residents appreciate. This could translate to a quieter, more peaceful living environment compared to being in a more urban or heavily trafficked area. The reviewer also mentions the impressive "type of seclusion and exclusivity" offered, which might appeal to those seeking a more private and secure setting.
However, another review brings up a critical environmental consideration, particularly relevant for a senior community: winter conditions. This reviewer notes "icey roads in winter" and points out that while the roads are plowed, there is "no salt on roads or at mailboxes." This lack of salting could pose significant challenges for senior citizens driving vehicles up inclines or walking their dogs, potentially impacting their mobility and safety during the winter months. This is a crucial factor for prospective residents to consider, especially given the age demographic of the community.
In terms of services and features, the reviews offer contrasting perspectives. The positive review emphasizes the friendly nature of the people within the community, stating, "The people are extremely friendly and I love how it's a little bit away from everything else... I met a lot of new friends there. Such a happy and wonderful place!" This suggests a strong sense of community and social interaction among residents, which is often a significant draw for those choosing to live in a manufactured home community. The mention of a "happy and wonderful place" indicates a positive overall living experience for at least some residents.
On the other hand, the negative review implicitly touches upon a lack of comprehensive winter maintenance services, specifically the absence of salting on icy roads and walkways. While plowing is mentioned, the lack of de-icing could be a significant service gap for a senior community where mobility and fall prevention are paramount. Further information regarding other services, such as trash removal, water and sewer provisions, lawn maintenance, or community amenities (like a clubhouse or recreational facilities), is not provided in the reviews. Prospective residents would need to inquire directly with the management about the full range of services offered and included in the lot rental fees.
Features of Lyndon Lawn as a 55+ manufactured home community typically include the opportunity for residents to own their homes while leasing the land. This can offer a more affordable housing option compared to traditional homeownership and often comes with a sense of community tailored to the age group. The positive review highlights the friendly neighbors and the secluded yet connected feel of the community as key features. However, the accessibility challenges during winter, as pointed out in the other review, could be a significant drawback for some seniors. It is unclear from the provided information whether the park offers specific amenities or programs designed for senior residents.
Promotional information is not explicitly available in the provided text. Details regarding lot availability, rental rates for the land, any entrance fees or community fees, or special offers for new residents would need to be obtained directly from the Lyndon Lawn management. When comparing this community to other "RV parks near me" or senior living options in the Central Square area, it is essential to gather detailed information on all associated costs and the specific terms of residency.
In conclusion, Lyndon Lawn Manufactured Home Community in Central Square, NY, presents itself as a well-kept 55+ senior park with a friendly and secluded environment. The strong sense of community and the positive experiences of some residents are notable features. However, the reported lack of salting on potentially icy roads and walkways during winter raises significant accessibility and safety concerns for a senior population. Prospective residents should carefully weigh these contrasting perspectives and conduct thorough due diligence. This includes contacting the management for detailed information on services, fees, and winter maintenance protocols, as well as ideally visiting the community to assess the environment and speak with current residents to gain a comprehensive understanding of life at Lyndon Lawn.

Lyndon Lawn Manufactured Home Community Reviews
Many issues this is a semior park 55 plus, icey roads in winter. Only plowed no salt on roads or at mailboxes. Hard for senior citizens to drive vehicles up inclines or walk their dogs.
Apr 24, 2025 · Paula KillianThis community is well kept. The people are extremely friendly and I love how it's a little bit away from everything else. The type of seclusion and exclusivity that is offered by this particular Community is quite impressive. I'm very glad my family stays there and I met a lot of new friends there. Such a happy and wonderful place!
Aug 17, 2018 · Alexander PatrickGreat sense of family and community. Caring people who are always at the ready to help when in need. Is there room for improvements to the park itself? Absolutely but the owners are working to rectify these issues. Highly recommend this place that I get to call home ☺
Nov 11, 2018 · Lois KozlowskiDon't get me wrong, overall, this park is great for my parents. It has great residents, and the HOA is awesome! HOA has all kinds of events and gatherings planned throughout the year. My BIGGEST problem with this park is the lack of maintenance in the winter months, primarily the "ICE." My mother and father have both fallen, including myself. We have made atleast two phone calls to the corporate office, and they seem to not really care about the issue. They have told us that putting down rock salt, "will do nothing." I have included pictures that have been taken well after the 2 phone calls over 2017 & 2018. If you or your loved ones are looking to live here, please be aware of the ice situation in the winter months. Walking to your friends, neighbor's, or even to the mail box may be very hazardous. And it does not appear that anything will be done about it.
