Meadowbrook Village Introduce
Welcome to Meadowbrook Village, located at 8920 Sheldon Rd in Tampa, Florida. While you might be searching under the category of "RV parks near me," Meadowbrook Village is a mobile home park offering a residential setting for individuals and families seeking long-term living in manufactured homes within the Tampa area. Situated on Sheldon Road in Hillsborough County, this park has received mixed feedback from its residents, particularly concerning safety and management, which potential residents should carefully consider.
Our Environment: A Community in a Challenging Location
Meadowbrook Village is described by one resident as a "nice place" situated within a "dangerous area." This suggests a potential dichotomy between the internal environment of the park and the safety of the surrounding neighborhood. The resident's experience of having their car's tire covers stolen and subsequently needing to install a security camera highlights tangible safety concerns. Additionally, the observation of frequent police presence, with officers "searching for something in some houses," further underscores potential security issues within the community itself.
Mobile home parks typically consist of individual lots for manufactured homes, with communal roadways and possibly shared amenities. The aesthetic and upkeep can vary. However, the primary concern raised by one resident regarding the external environment impacting the park's safety warrants serious consideration for anyone contemplating residency at Meadowbrook Village. Potential residents should research the crime rates and safety conditions of the surrounding Sheldon Road area of Tampa to gain a comprehensive understanding of the context in which the park is situated.
Services and Amenities for Residents
Specific details about the services and amenities offered at Meadowbrook Village are limited in the provided resident feedback. However, standard mobile home parks generally provide essential infrastructure and may include amenities such as:
- Lot Rentals: Residents typically lease or rent individual lots for their manufactured homes.
- Utility Hookups: Standard connections for electricity, water, and sewer are usually provided at each lot.
- Basic Maintenance: Upkeep of common roadways and infrastructure is generally the responsibility of the park management.
The negative review concerning "poor management" does not specify which services are lacking or inadequately provided. However, it implies a decline in the quality of management, which could potentially affect various aspects of park operations and resident services. Potential residents should inquire directly with the park management about the full range of services and amenities offered and seek to understand the current management's approach to maintaining the community.

The second review is even more critical, citing "poor management" as the cause for a decline in the park's condition, including an alleged rat infestation. Such accusations, if true, could indicate significant mismanagement and potential legal issues within the community.

Meadowbrook Village Reviews
It's a nice place in a dangerous area. In this community, my car's tire covers were stolen. I had to put a camera on. I often see police officers searching for something in some houses.
Aug 28, 2024 · Will RiverRats are coming in because of poor management, this park wasn’t like this, ever since management changed and also they are splitting houses up and the owners will rent them out, and collect rent, this is illegal. I do not recommend this place to no one.
Dec 26, 2024 · Noemi CruzIt is a neat community with a very nice center, but it is not very safe and has many cats that damage cars, gardens and property. Also, there are neighbors who run and walk their pets around the property.
Apr 26, 2021 · Joshua RiverI'm thinking about moving here but after reading the reviews I'll pass.
Feb 22, 2025 · Larry FessI’ve been living here less than a year, and so far:• the neighborhood is beautiful, but full of cats which I love and have no issue with other than the fact that there are about 20 per street, and I feel like someone might be breeding or people just don’t know how to care for their cats and also dead cats all around.•neighborhood is pretty quiet during the day, but there is loud music every other night it seems and it’s from all around the neighborhood, sometimes even the office when there is an event, it didn’t bother us at first compared to our last apartment but it’s starting to get ridiculous, from like 1pm-1am just loud music and parties, you can’t really do much but call the police even though there is a noise ordinance in the neighborhood.• management/employees are kind for the most part but I did have an issue with the manager threatening to make us late on our rent our third month here, because I had asked to be spoken to politely after she seemed annoyed by my questions. It seemed like a bad day maybe, but I felt threatened and helpless as a new homeowner and young homeowner, she refused to speak to me but would speak to my boyfriend who was there thankfully.but the other office assistance or manager is super kind and helpful, I would recommend her she’s in the first office when you enter the office area.• pot holes and things were fixed when we first moved in and we’ve had no other issues in the neighborhood pertaining to that, it’s actually very well kept.
