Midway RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Midway RV Park, located at 4933 Midway Rd in Vacaville, California. For local users searching within the category of 'RV parks near me,' Midway RV Park offers a convenient option with reported friendly service and several features catering to RV travelers. This introduction provides a detailed overview of the park based on available information, including contact details and recent customer experiences, to help you determine if it's the right fit for your needs.
Midway RV Park can be contacted directly at (707) 446-7679 or via mobile phone at +1 707-446-7679. These contact numbers can be used for inquiries regarding site availability, reservation policies, and any specific questions potential guests may have.
Based on customer reviews, Midway RV Park boasts a convenient location, making it an accessible stop for travelers in the Vacaville area. One reviewer specifically noted its ease of entrance compared to a neighboring RV park, which can be a significant advantage, especially for larger rigs or those arriving after a long journey.
The atmosphere at Midway RV Park appears to be welcoming. Multiple reviewers mentioned the friendliness of the people at the park, with one explicitly stating they were "much more friendly then next door." This suggests a positive and hospitable environment for guests, which can greatly enhance the overall camping experience.
In terms of the physical environment, Midway RV Park features "lots of trees," which can provide shade and a more natural camping feel. However, it's noted that the ground surface is primarily gravel, except for the very front of the park. The roads within the park are described as "all dirt and gravel" and "very bumpy," which might be a consideration for those with mobility issues or concerns about dust. One reviewer with "extremely low clearance" reported being okay upon arrival but expressed uncertainty about departure, indicating that navigating the park might require careful maneuvering for certain types of RVs.
A significant advantage highlighted by a reviewer is that "90% drive thru spaces" are available. Drive-thru sites are highly convenient for RVers, as they eliminate the need to back in, making setup and departure much easier, especially for larger rigs or those making a quick overnight stop. One reviewer, traveling with a 56' rig (front nose to tail) plus an SUV, confirmed they could fit in a drive-thru space for a one-night stay without needing to unhitch, with room to spare for their vehicle. This suggests that Midway RV Park can accommodate fairly large RVs, at least for short stays.
While the internal roads were described as tight during a pre-arrival scout, the same reviewer found they were able to maneuver their large rig okay. This indicates that while caution may be needed, the park is generally accessible for larger vehicles.
In terms of amenities, Midway RV Park offers three bathrooms/shower stalls in total, which were reported to be clean. Laundry facilities are also available at a cost of $1.75 per load for both washing and drying. These basic amenities are essential for a comfortable RV stay, especially for longer trips.
One interesting point mentioned in a review pertains to the park's policy regarding the age of RVs for monthly stays. While a guest with a remodeled vintage RV from 2015 was accommodated for a short stay, the park's paperwork reportedly states a limit of nothing over 2002 for monthly residents. This suggests a potential distinction in requirements between short-term and long-term stays, which prospective monthly residents should verify directly with the management.
The office hours on Sunday are limited, as one reviewer noted it was "closed all day Sunday." This might be a factor to consider for arrivals or inquiries on Sundays.
Considering the category 'RV parks near me,' Midway RV Park appears to be a well-located option in Vacaville, offering a friendly atmosphere and practical amenities for RV travelers. The prevalence of drive-thru sites and the ability to accommodate large rigs for overnight stays are significant benefits. However, potential guests should be aware of the gravel and dirt roads, which may be bumpy, and the limited number of bathroom/shower facilities. The park's policy on RV age for monthly stays is also an important consideration for those seeking longer-term arrangements.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, RV parks often highlight features such as their location (proximity to attractions, highways), the size and type of sites available (full hookups, partial hookups), Wi-Fi access, pet-friendly policies, and any unique amenities they might offer (e.g., picnic areas, fire pits). Interested individuals should contact Midway RV Park directly to inquire about any current specials, discounts for longer stays, or specific amenities available.
In conclusion, Midway RV Park in Vacaville, CA, offers a conveniently located and reportedly friendly environment for RV travelers. The availability of mostly drive-thru sites and the capacity to accommodate large rigs are notable advantages. Potential guests should be prepared for gravel and dirt roads and note the limited office hours on Sundays. For those seeking 'RV parks near me' in the Vacaville area, Midway RV Park presents a viable option for both short-term and potentially longer-term stays, though the age of the RV may be a factor for monthly residency. Direct communication with the park management is recommended to obtain the most current information and to address any specific concerns or requirements.

Midway RV Park Reviews
Convenient location. People were nice, much more friendly then next door. Office was closed all day Sunday. Gravel everything except the very front of park. Lots of trees! Easier entrance than rv Park next door. 90% drive thru spaces. I'm 56' front nose to tail I fit without having to drop hitch for a 1 night stay! And still had room for our suv. Roads seemed tight when scouted before coming in but I was able to maneuver okay. All dirt and gravel roads. Very bumpy. I have extremely low clearance. So far okay. We will see when I leave. 3 bathrooms/shower stalls total. They were clean. Laundry $1.75/load w/d each. I have a remodeled vintage RV, it was okay here, remodel build date of 2015. But they say nothing over 2002 for monthly in their paperwork.
May 08, 2017 · Jen JensonA nice campground/ RV park with large trees and friendly people. Some of the spots are a lot bigger than others, and some easier to get into and out of than others.
Dec 03, 2018 · Wez So_N_SoNice older park, very clean, lots of large trees for shade. Seth the park manager is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. If in the area I would definitely stay again.
Sep 29, 2024 · James PowersWe liked this RV Park in Vacaville, CA. It’s an “urban” kind of RV Park. Most of the sites here are long term residents. Some of the residents work at Travis Air Force Base. There are trees and shade, but no grass, all gravel. Lots of very big rigs here. Sites are level and pull-through, very close to each other, but it all works. The big rigs are new and well-cared for, but there are some smaller, very old, dilapidated RV’s that are falling apart. The bathrooms are beautiful and clean, just like home. The laundry is very nice and also clean. There is a small playground and a small pool that looks clean. The internet is a bit slow, but otherwise works. The one thing we didn’t have that virtually all other campgrounds provide is a picnic table. That would have been nice. One thing that is off-putting is a rig that has a big display of the American flag along with the Confederate Flag. Most campgrounds prohibit signs, flags, or any kind of display that could be considered offensive. We’ve actually stayed at campgrounds where a new camper arrived with a similar display with a Confederate flag, and the new campers hardly had it in the air before the campground shut it down. Obviously, the display of the Confederate Flag by a camper does not necessarily reflect the views of the owner/manager of the campground, but when it’s not shut down, a racist vibe lingers in the air.
