Moonshine Acres RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" that offer more than just the basics? Do you crave a camping experience that combines the tranquility of nature with unique social and amenity features? Look no further than Moonshine Acres RV Park, located at 10089 US-27, Fort White, FL 32038, USA. This isn't your typical Florida campsite; as one enthusiastic visitor put it, Moonshine Acres is "redefining camping at its best!"
What sets Moonshine Acres apart is its impressive central lodge, a grand log cabin that serves as the heart of the park. Unlike many RV parks that might offer a small clubhouse at best, Moonshine Acres provides a substantial and inviting space for activities and meetups. The lodge itself is a noteworthy feature, maintaining the pleasant aroma of fresh-cut wood, creating a rustic yet welcoming ambiance that some might find surprisingly delightful for Florida. Within the lodge, you'll find not only a gathering space but also the park's restrooms and showers, as well as a convenient gift shop.
According to visitor feedback, the restrooms and showers are clean and modern, seamlessly blending functionality with the park's overall rustic aesthetic. This attention to detail ensures a comfortable and pleasant experience for all guests. The presence of a gift shop within the central lodge adds another layer of convenience, allowing you to pick up essentials or souvenirs without leaving the park's central hub.
The RV sites at Moonshine Acres have also garnered positive reviews. Guests have described them as spacious and well-maintained. Notably, the graveled section of the park is reported to be quite level, making setup easier for RVers. However, it's worth noting that the northwestern side of the park, closer to Highway 27, is mentioned as being less prepared, with some sites not as level. Therefore, when booking, it might be beneficial to inquire about site locations to ensure one that best suits your needs.
One aspect to consider is the shade coverage at the campsites. Reviews indicate that the majority of sites are in full sun for most of the day. If shade is a significant preference for you, it would be wise to inquire about the availability of the few select sites that offer more shade when making your reservation. Florida's sunshine can be intense, so understanding the sun exposure of your chosen site is important for your comfort.
Adding an element of potential excitement, but also potential noise, is the proximity of Highway 27. Directly across the highway, visitors can find trails and off-road activity. While this is not affiliated with Moonshine Acres RV Park itself, it's a local feature that might appeal to some seeking adventure. However, one reviewer did mention that this off-road activity could occasionally cause some disturbance at night. Light sleepers might want to consider this when choosing a site within the park.
Beyond the RV sites, Moonshine Acres also offers alternative accommodation options, including tent sites and yurts. This makes it a versatile destination for various types of travelers, from traditional RVers to those seeking a more rustic tent camping experience or the unique comfort of a yurt. The availability of these diverse lodging options further underscores the park's commitment to catering to a wide range of outdoor enthusiasts.
The exceptional service provided by the staff at Moonshine Acres is consistently highlighted in the reviews. One guest specifically mentioned that "everyone worked as a team to ensure our stay was as perfect as possible." This level of dedication to guest satisfaction is a significant draw and suggests a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. The positive interactions with the staff can greatly enhance the overall camping experience.
Another satisfied visitor confirmed that "everything about Moonshine Acres was exactly as described in their Website." This speaks to the accuracy and transparency of the park's online presence, allowing potential guests to have a clear understanding of what to expect upon arrival. The consistency between the online description and the actual experience is a testament to the park's integrity.
The large log cabin guest area is praised for offering "a great selection of things to do, or if you prefer just relax." This suggests that the central lodge is not just a functional space but also a hub for recreation and leisure. Whether you're looking to socialize with other campers, participate in organized activities, or simply unwind in a comfortable setting, the lodge appears to cater to various preferences.
In summary, Moonshine Acres RV Park offers a distinctive camping experience near Fort White, Florida. Its central log cabin lodge, clean and modern restrooms, spacious RV sites (with level gravel sections), and the availability of tent and yurt sites make it stand out from more conventional "RV parks near me." The professional and dedicated service further enhances its appeal. While potential guests should be aware of the sunny nature of most sites and the proximity to off-road activity across Highway 27, the overall sentiment from visitors is overwhelmingly positive. As one reviewer enthusiastically concluded, "there is no place else like it! Come see for yourself."
To experience the unique charm of Moonshine Acres RV Park firsthand and to inquire about availability and specific site details, you can contact them by phone at (833) 744-6378 or via mobile phone at +1 833-744-6378. Moonshine Acres RV Park Reviews
Redefining camping at its best by offering a central lodge for activities and meetups. If you are a paying visitor of legal age you can even bring beverages. The restrooms and showers along with the gift shop are also located at the lodge. The lodge is grand and maintains its fresh cut wood smell. Truthfully to some it will seem out of place for Florida, most campsites have pool and bath at best and maybe a small clubhouse. The sites locations are decent too. The graveled section of the park seems pretty level. The northwestern side close to hwy27 is not as prepared and some sites are not leveled. All but a few select sites are in the hot sun most of the day. Hwy 27 has trails and off-road action taking place right across the street. This is not affiliated with the travel park but it can be a disturbance at night. Final thoughts; there is no place else like it! Come see for yourself. Tent sites and yurts are also available.

Mar 16, 2025 · Tessa ButzMy husband & I began out trip home after spending the winter in FL. We were driving our 37' motorhome and pulling a tow vehicle. The winds were horrible and relentless. Gusts above 30 mph. We decided to end the driving battle. I searched for a campground/RV park to stop at. Moonshine Acres had great reviews. I called at 11:30 am. I explained our situation and asked if they had a site available, which they did. I said we were 30 minutes away and asked if it was possible to get an early check in. The very kind, cheerful and understanding lady on the phone took her time looking. She did have a spot available for early check in. We were assigned a site that had full hookups and was perfectly level. It had a picnic table and fire pit. Although the roads in the park are gravel, they are easy to navigate. The sites are all angled and easy to access. We had a pull thru which was perfect for our overnight stay. The park has a nice playground for the kids, a gorgeous office, game room, camp store. All housed in a fancy, new log cabin style building. A patio out back with a nice public fire pit. They offer Glamping Tents as well as campsites. Their paperwork indicated a pool was to be added. It was quiet, clean and the other campers were very friendly. It was a great place for kids to play. There are numerous springs and rivers with tubing close by. The campground has partnered with a local business to offer pick up at the campsite for tubing. We weren't able to take advantage of these activities, but we would love to return to take take them in. It's a bit of a drive from the Interstate, but very easy to find. We would definitely stay here again. The friendly customer service they extended to us made us fans.
Mar 25, 2025 · Sheryl AinesWhile escaping Milton we had the honor of finding this amazing RV camp for an extended stay.First the people are truly kind and supportive. We needed to extend our days twice because of the issue with the hurricane and they were amazing to make it work for us.The actual camp is super cute and very spacious. Lots are huge. Not a lot of artificial lighting (which we loved!. The place is so clean even after Helene’s impact a few weeks prior. The rec center they built is amazing. Pool tables, ping pong, a lovely TV and bar set.The office is clean and they have supplies! We didn’t use the restrooms but assuming they meet the same requirements. They also have these neat glamping tents on one side of the park that look really upscale and neat to stay in for those who want to experience the park who don’t have their own RV.Overall we will def book again and truly are thankful for finding this GEM as part of our escape plan for the hurricane.
