Novato RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for the perfect RV park in the "RV parks near me" category within the beautiful Marin County? Look no further than Novato RV Park, situated at 1530 Armstrong Ave, Novato, CA 94945, USA. Whether you're a local resident seeking a temporary home on wheels, a traveler passing through the Bay Area, or someone looking for a comfortable long-term stay, Novato RV Park offers a range of features and services designed to meet your needs.
Conveniently located, Novato RV Park boasts easy access to numerous local attractions and essential amenities. Its phone number is (800) 733-6787 or +1 800-733-6787, making it easy to inquire about availability and make reservations. Based on feedback from actual visitors, Novato RV Park stands out as a highly recommended option in the Bay Area, offering a peaceful and safe environment for RV enthusiasts.
One of the most significant advantages highlighted by guests is the tranquility of the park. If a quiet and peaceful atmosphere is a priority for you, Novato RV Park consistently delivers. This makes it an ideal retreat after a day of exploring the vibrant Bay Area or the natural beauty of Marin County.
For pet owners, Novato RV Park extends a welcoming hand. While generally pet-friendly, it's worth noting some considerations mentioned by previous guests. The designated dog area, while present, has been described as dry and not consistently maintained, particularly during certain times of the year. Additionally, while pet waste bags are provided, designated trash receptacles specifically for pet waste are limited, which has led to some issues with cleanliness outside the park. However, the overall welcoming attitude towards pets remains a significant draw for many RV travelers.
The management and staff at Novato RV Park, particularly Sarah and Jessica in the front office, are consistently praised for their helpfulness and welcoming demeanor. They are known for being accommodating and providing a personal touch to the guest experience, ensuring that residents feel valued and cared for. Their patience and genuine care for those staying at the park contribute significantly to the positive atmosphere.
Cleanliness is another area where Novato RV Park excels. Guests have consistently noted the well-maintained and clean restrooms. This attention to hygiene contributes to a comfortable and pleasant living environment for all residents.
For added convenience, the RV park offers on-site laundry facilities, with all machines reported to be in good working order. This amenity is particularly valuable for longer stays, allowing residents to manage their laundry needs without leaving the premises.
Location is a key highlight of Novato RV Park. Its proximity to major attractions and local conveniences is a significant draw. Situated just a 30-minute drive from the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, it provides easy access to the cultural and urban experiences of San Francisco. Furthermore, nature enthusiasts will appreciate the park's location just minutes away from various hiking trails, offering opportunities to explore the stunning landscapes of Marin County.
While the RV sites are described as being close to each other, they are noted to be roomier than many other RV parks in the Bay Area, providing a greater sense of privacy. This is a significant advantage, as personal space can often be limited in typical RV park settings.
To ensure a comfortable stay, Novato RV Park takes proactive measures such as spraying for bugs. This attention to pest control helps maintain a pleasant and hygienic environment for all residents.
Adding to the convenience is a deli located on-site. This provides residents with easy access to snacks, beverages, and potentially other essential items, eliminating the need for frequent trips to external stores.
Novato RV Park offers full hookups, including both 30 and 50 amp electrical service, catering to a wide range of RV sizes and power requirements. Guests have also reported decent water pressure, ensuring a comfortable and functional water supply.
The park maintains well-kept dumpsters, contributing to the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the grounds. Ample parking is available at most sites, with space for up to two cars, a significant benefit for those traveling with multiple vehicles.
For those with larger RVs, Novato RV Park is big rig friendly. It has successfully accommodated large vehicles, such as a 43-foot fifth wheel with four slides, indicating its ability to handle a variety of RV sizes.
The park's location offers unparalleled convenience, being within a 10-minute drive of essential amenities such as grocery shopping, downtown Novato, diverse dining options, and more hiking opportunities. This central location makes it an ideal base for exploring the local area and accessing everyday necessities.
While the park is generally well-maintained, some guests have noted that the longer-term sites can appear a bit run-down, with residents sometimes keeping numerous belongings outside their RVs. This is a common observation in many long-term RV communities and might be a consideration for those seeking a more uniform aesthetic.
Despite the minor drawbacks mentioned, the overall consensus among visitors is highly positive. Novato RV Park is frequently recommended as a great option in Marin County, particularly for its accommodating nature and welcoming attitude towards dogs. One reviewer specifically mentioned a "spacious dog park" where pets can run, although another reviewer's experience differed regarding the maintenance of this area. The beautiful mountain views and the proximity to a nature park across the road further enhance the appeal of this location.
The staff's dedication to providing excellent service and their personal engagement with guests are consistently highlighted as major positives. They are described as patient and genuinely caring about the well-being of those staying at the park.
Beyond the RV park itself, guests are encouraged to explore downtown Novato, which offers a variety of attractions and amenities. Its convenient location across the highway from the park makes it easily accessible.
In conclusion, Novato RV Park presents a compelling option for anyone searching for "RV parks near me" in the Marin County area. Its combination of a peaceful environment, helpful staff, essential amenities like laundry and full hookups, and a highly convenient location near both urban centers and natural attractions makes it suitable for short-term visitors and long-term residents alike. While there are some minor points to consider regarding the pet facilities and the appearance of some long-term sites, the overwhelming positive feedback underscores its value as a welcoming and well-regarded RV park in a desirable location. Novato RV Park Reviews
Stayed here for two months and have mostly nice things to say. One of the best options in the Bay Area.Pros:•Almost always quiet. This is huge for us. We found it to be very peaceful and safe.•Pet friendly (but check the cons)•Very accommodating•Sarah & Jessica in the front office we’re always very helpful and welcoming•Very clean restrooms•Laundry on site and all in working order•30 min to Golden Gate•Minutes away from hiking trails•Sites are close but still roomier than most in the Bay Area. We still felt a sense of privacy unlike other parks.•Sprayed for bugs•Deli on site•Full hookup 30/50 amp•Decent water pressure•Dumpsters were well maintained•Ample parking for two cars at most sites•Big rig friendly. We stayed with a 43’ fifth wheel with 4 slides.•Within 10 minutes of everything! Grocery shopping, downtown, dining, hiking, etc etcCons:•Although pet friendly, there’s no great spot to walk/let dogs relieve themselves. The dog area is very dry/unmaintained. I think maybe during a different part of the year it may be greener but we avoided it because it was basically just dust.-There’s also no designated trash cans for pet waste. They do offer bags but people just throw their bags on the floor because they don’t want to walk to the regular dumpsters/trash cans in front of the deli. OR they don’t pick up after their pets at all. Poop was always left all over the outside of the park.•Some people had pet fences up at their site and just allowed their dogs to pee/poop directly on the rocks which could smell pretty bad if not properly maintained.•It’s easy to spot the long term sites— they can look a little run down & keep a lot of belongings outside their rigs. All in all I recommend this park. It’s mostly well maintained & I’d say one of the biggest improvements they could make is to add pet waste trash cans around the park.Otherwise we enjoyed our time there & are very grateful for them accommodating us.
Aug 09, 2022 · JThe perfect spot in Marin for staying in your RV! It is very hard to find somewhere that is so accommodating and welcomes dogs. This was a huge deciding factor in staying here. They have a spacious dog park as well to let your pups run. Beautiful mountain views and a great nature park right across the road. The staff and management are always so nice and helpful. We love how personal they always are with us! They are patient and truly care about who stays here! Be sure to explore downtown Novato too! Lots of great places across the highway, it couldn’t be a better location- whether staying long term or just passing through.
Nov 04, 2023 · Ashlyn MurphyNovato RV park is still under construction it had no restrooms no showers and needed a lot of work on the campsites still it was close to a beach about 300 yards away down at Sandy path. I left my footprint I'm sure it is still there!
Jun 21, 2018 · Al ShepherdBest place to stay in the area even with the prices being high. Electric was high as well, but they do have laundry facilities and a deli, so it’s well worth it. Staff is nice as well
Mar 06, 2020 · sam leeMy 5th wheel was hit - yes a hit and run!!! I had proof I had cameras up. The owner "George" DID NOT care!!! The manager and the assistance manger just stare at you when you come. So bring an old rig - because when you leave it well be beat up and keyed by your neighbors!!!One of the reasons my Rig was hit seen in the pictures - the rule where my rig was parked "one vehicle with the rig" Rules are NOT enforced by the management and owner. If you need something and you want it done ask for Marcia or Roselyn they are the best!!!! The owner should give these two a promotion as they are polite, smile and friendly!
