Oak Lane Mobile Home Park Introduce
If you are searching within the platform category of "RV parks near me" for a long-term residential option and come across Oak Lane Mobile Home Park, located at 11 Twin Dr, Port Deposit, MD 21904, USA, it is crucial to consider recent feedback from residents to gain a comprehensive understanding of the living conditions. While typically, mobile home parks cater to longer-term residency rather than the short-term stays associated with recreational vehicle parks, the experiences shared by residents of Oak Lane Mobile Home Park warrant careful attention for anyone considering residing there.
The available reviews from individuals who have lived at Oak Lane Mobile Home Park paint a concerning picture regarding the property's maintenance and living conditions. One resident, James, who moved into the park with his wife Anita approximately seven months prior to his review, detailed several significant issues. A recurring problem they faced was the intermittent lack of water and consistently low water pressure. According to James, these issues persisted despite complaints to the owners, who allegedly took no action to rectify them. The lack of adequate water pressure made basic hygiene tasks, such as showering and washing hair, difficult or impossible.
Furthermore, James reported a lack of essential amenities, stating that their trailer had no source of heat or air conditioning. This absence of climate control can lead to significant discomfort depending on the season. Additionally, he described a pest problem, having caught eight mice in his trailer over an eleven-day period, indicating a potential issue with pest control or the structural integrity of the homes.
The review also highlighted serious maintenance concerns, including leaking drains and water lines that allegedly caused severe mold growth in the walls and floors. James claimed that the owners were informed about the mold issue but did not address it. He further stated that the floors in his trailer were deteriorating to the point of falling through, requiring him to walk on the underlying studs for stability. This suggests potentially unsafe living conditions due to structural neglect.
Adding another layer of concern, James mentioned hearing from neighbors that water heaters in some trailers were installed illegally. He also advised caution regarding the owners, suggesting a connection to a local establishment called "crabs outback" and alleging that their primary motive is financial gain at the expense of residents' well-being. James expressed his eagerness to move out of what he described as a "disgusting place," questioning the legality of renting out trailers in such uninhabitable conditions with no water, black mold, and no climate control. He indicated that he had contacted the relevant authorities to address what he believes to be an illegal situation.
Another reviewer echoed these negative experiences, stating that "This place is absolute trash." This individual described the landlords as "unprofessional" and accused them of making false statements and failing to address maintenance issues. A particularly severe incident involved frozen pipes for three weeks during the winter, which forced the reviewer's wife and children to leave their home and stay with family. The reviewer disputed the landlord's claim that the frozen pipes were due to a lack of heat, asserting that they had heat and that other residents experienced frozen pipes as well, attributing the issue to a shared well system. The reviewer concluded with a strong warning: "Do not move here!"
Given these two highly critical and detailed reviews, prospective residents searching within the "RV parks near me" category who might consider Oak Lane Mobile Home Park for long-term living should be extremely cautious. The issues raised by the current residents are significant and pertain to basic living standards such as water access, structural integrity, pest control, and climate control. The allegations of neglect by the owners and the potential for unsafe living conditions are serious concerns that should not be overlooked.
At this time, there is no positive feedback or information available in the provided data to counterbalance these negative accounts. Additionally, there is no information regarding any services, features, or promotional offers at Oak Lane Mobile Home Park. Therefore, based solely on the available reviews, it is impossible to recommend this community to potential residents. The experiences shared strongly suggest that the living conditions may be substandard and that maintenance issues are not being adequately addressed by the management.
For anyone who might still be considering Oak Lane Mobile Home Park, it is strongly advised to conduct thorough due diligence. This should include attempting to contact current residents (if possible), visiting the property to assess the conditions firsthand, and inquiring extensively with the management about the issues raised in the reviews and their plans for remediation. It would also be prudent to check with local housing authorities or tenant rights organizations for any records or complaints related to Oak Lane Mobile Home Park.
In conclusion, while Oak Lane Mobile Home Park in Port Deposit, MD, might appear as a potential long-term residential option for those searching within the "RV parks near me" category, the overwhelmingly negative and detailed reviews from current residents raise serious concerns about the living conditions, maintenance, and management of the property. These accounts highlight issues such as lack of water, no heat or air conditioning, pest infestations, mold, and structural problems. Prospective residents should proceed with extreme caution and conduct thorough independent investigation before considering Oak Lane Mobile Home Park as a place to live.

Oak Lane Mobile Home Park Reviews
My name is James. Me and my wife Anita moved into this park about 7 months ago. Since staying at the property we have not had water on multiple occasions and there is no water pressure on a daily basis. We have complained to the owners and they do nothing to fix the problem. It is in humane to rent out a trailer that people cannot even take a shower in because there’s no water pressure. My daughter couldn’t even wash her hair. We have no source of heat or air conditioning. I have also had to set mouse traps in my trailer because we found droppings and so far have caught 8 mice in 11 days. The drains and water lines both leak and have caused sever mold in the walls and floors. I have also told the owners about the mold and they don’t care. The floors are falling through and you have to walk on the studs to get around. I heard the owners are the same people who own the place “crabs outback” in town so beware of these thieves, they are only out to take your money. I cannot wait to move out of this disgusting place, I cannot believe it is legal for them to rent these trailers to people when they are uninhabitable with no water, black mold, and no source of heat/air. And the water heaters are also placed illegally in some of the trailers from what the neighbors told me. I have reached out to proper authorities to hopefully put an end to this illegal situation.
Aug 12, 2020 · Jamie ShortThis place is absolute trash. The landlords are unprofessional and make false statements. They do not uphold their duty to fix maintenance issues. During the water, my pipes were frozen for 3 weeks causing my wife and kids to leave the house and stay with her family. They accused me of the pipes being frozen because of lack of heat in the house. I had heat and other people's pipes were frozen as well. It is a shared well. Do not move here!

Apr 24, 2024 · Stephen SmithWhat a dump. Visited someone there and their place was nice but overall the place was a dump. Trash and broke down things everywhere. Looked more like a junkyard for mobile homes then a place where people live. Definitely needs cleaned up
