When choosing a location for your RV or mobile home, understanding the environment, available services, and overall features is crucial. Based on information available online, including direct customer feedback, a balanced perspective on Oak Village Mobile Home Park is necessary.
One customer described the neighborhood as "wonderful and beautiful" and "well designed for neighborhood watch," suggesting a potentially positive community aspect within the park. This could be an attractive feature for those seeking a sense of belonging and security in their living environment.
However, it's important to acknowledge other feedback received. Several concerns have been raised by a different customer regarding the park's maintenance and management. These concerns include allegations of a lack of repair to storm-damaged fences, recurring sewage line backups, and infrequent grass cutting. The review also mentions a lack of new gravel and dissatisfaction with renovations, particularly concerning the pricing of FEMA trailers. This customer strongly advises potential tenants to avoid the park, citing poor treatment and a lack of maintenance for both individual tenants and the park grounds, further noting issues with trash accumulation.
Considering these contrasting viewpoints, it's evident that experiences at Oak Village Mobile Home Park may vary. While one resident highlights positive aspects like neighborhood aesthetics and design for community safety, another describes significant issues related to maintenance, infrastructure, and management responsiveness.
For individuals actively searching for "RV parks near me" and considering Oak Village Mobile Home Park for a longer-term stay, it would be prudent to conduct thorough due diligence. This could involve contacting the park management directly to discuss the services and amenities currently offered, as well as inquiring about their maintenance protocols and recent improvements. It may also be beneficial to visit the location in person to assess the current condition of the park and its facilities.
When evaluating RV parks for a longer duration, key factors often include the availability and condition of essential utilities such as water, electricity, and sewage hookups. Inquire specifically about the reliability of these services at Oak Village Mobile Home Park, especially in light of the reported sewage line issues. Understanding the park's policies on waste management and groundskeeping is also important for maintaining a comfortable living environment.
Furthermore, consider the accessibility of the park, including road conditions within the property and ease of access to and from the main highway (E Hwy 30). For those with larger RVs, ensuring adequate space for maneuvering and parking is essential. It would be wise to ask about the size and layout of available spaces.
Beyond the basic utilities and infrastructure, some RV parks offer additional amenities that can enhance the living experience. These might include laundry facilities, restrooms and showers, recreational areas, Wi-Fi access, and on-site management. Inquiring about the availability and condition of such amenities at Oak Village Mobile Home Park would be a valuable part of your research.
Given the mixed feedback, potential residents should also consider the overall atmosphere and community within the park. While one review praised the neighborhood design for watchfulness, the other painted a less favorable picture of the living conditions and management's responsiveness to tenant needs. Speaking with current residents, if possible, could provide further insights into the day-to-day realities of living at Oak Village Mobile Home Park.
As you explore "RV parks near me," remember that your specific needs and priorities will influence your final decision. If community and a sense of security are paramount, the positive feedback regarding the neighborhood watch design might be appealing. However, it is crucial to weigh this against the serious concerns raised about maintenance and management. A direct visit and detailed conversation with the park management are highly recommended to form your own informed opinion.
In conclusion, Oak Village Mobile Home Park in Gonzales, Louisiana, presents a location that has received both positive and negative feedback from previous residents. While one reviewer found the neighborhood "wonderful and beautiful" with a good design for community safety, another reported significant issues with maintenance, infrastructure, and management. For those considering this park as one of their "RV parks near me," a thorough investigation, including direct contact with the park and potentially a site visit, is strongly advised to ensure it meets your individual requirements and expectations for a comfortable and well-maintained living environment.

Oak Village Mobile Home Park Reviews
Man. The storm knocked the fence down in several spots. They haven’t fixed it. The sewage line is always backed up. They never cut the grass. Never put new gravel. Do POOR renovations and try and charge $1000 a month for a fema Trailor. Tenants come and go because of how poorly we were treated. There’s trash everywhere. No maintenance ever occurs for the tenants nor the park itself. I recommend to anyone to stay away. Living in the projects is better than that place.
