Old 66 RV Park Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the El Reno, Oklahoma area, Old 66 RV Park, situated at 1502 S Rock Island Ave, El Reno, OK 73036, USA, presents itself as a potential option for RV accommodation. You can contact them for inquiries or reservations at (405) 262-1199 or +1 405-262-1199.
According to one recent customer review, Old 66 RV Park is described as "very clean and neat." This suggests that the park takes pride in maintaining its grounds and facilities to a certain standard of cleanliness, which is often a significant factor for RV travelers seeking a comfortable and hygienic environment. The park also boasts "easy on and off from I-40," highlighting its convenient location for those traveling along this major interstate highway. This accessibility can be particularly appealing for overnight stays or as a base for exploring the local area.
In terms of amenities for RVers, the same positive review notes that Old 66 RV Park offers "full hook-ups with concrete pads and 50-amps." Full hook-ups typically include water, sewer, and electrical connections at each RV site, providing a comprehensive set of utilities for a comfortable stay. Concrete pads are often preferred as they offer a level and stable surface for parking and setting up an RV. The availability of 50-amp electrical service is also a significant advantage, as it can accommodate the power needs of larger RVs with multiple appliances.
Furthermore, this reviewer mentions "friendly service" and "easy check-in," indicating that the staff is welcoming and the process of registering and settling into the park is efficient and hassle-free. These aspects contribute to a positive initial impression and can enhance the overall guest experience.
However, it is crucial to consider a starkly contrasting and deeply concerning review from another recent guest. This review describes a "terrible owner" and recounts a highly negative experience involving lost personal belongings and alleged mismanagement. According to this account, the guest had been staying at the park for approximately three weeks and had left a couple of bags of laundry in the laundry house overnight, placed off to the side and not occupying any machines.
The following day, the guest reported that the door code to the laundry house was not working. Upon contacting the owner, the guest was initially informed that homeless people had broken in and slept there. Subsequently, the owner allegedly acted as if the laundry had been stolen or thrown away. After what the guest described as "begging 24 hours" for their clothes back, and following a morning of rain, the owner reportedly told the guest that she had thrown the laundry in the dumpster. The guest stated that the lost clothing was worth at least $1,500 and consisted of Ariat/FR work apparel. The reviewer, who claimed to have been traveling for work in their camper for seven years, expressed that they had "never seen anything like this."
This detailed negative account raises significant concerns about the management practices and security at Old 66 RV Park. The alleged mishandling of a guest's personal belongings and the subsequent disposal of those items in a dumpster, especially valuable work-related clothing, is a serious issue. The conflicting information provided by the owner in the review also suggests a lack of clear communication or accountability.
Given these two very different recent experiences, local users considering Old 66 RV Park should carefully weigh both perspectives. The park appears to offer clean facilities, convenient highway access, and essential RV amenities such as full hook-ups and concrete pads. The check-in process and initial service may also be perceived as friendly and efficient.
However, the severe allegations in the second review regarding the owner's handling of a guest's property and the lack of security in the laundry facility cannot be ignored. This incident suggests potential issues with park management, communication, and the safety of guests' belongings. For local users, who may be considering a longer stay or relying on park facilities like the laundry room, these concerns could be particularly relevant.
The provided information does not include details about the environment beyond the mention of cleanliness and neatness. There is no description of the surrounding landscape, recreational areas, or other features that might contribute to the overall ambiance of the park. Similarly, there is no information about additional services beyond the full hook-ups, laundry, and reported friendly service. Features such as pet policies, on-site activities, or community areas are not mentioned.
Furthermore, there is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Local users interested in potential discounts for longer stays, local residents, or any other special offers would need to contact Old 66 RV Park directly to inquire.
In conclusion, Old 66 RV Park offers a convenient location off I-40 and provides clean RV sites with full hook-ups and concrete pads. The check-in process and initial interactions with staff may be positive. However, the serious allegations of mismanagement and disregard for guest property in one of the recent reviews warrant significant caution. Local users considering this park should be aware of this negative experience and may want to seek further clarification or assurances from the park management regarding security and guest services before making a reservation. It would be prudent to inquire about their policies on lost and found items and the security measures in place for shared facilities like the laundry room.

Old 66 RV Park Reviews
Very clean and neat park. Easy on and off from I-40. Full hook-ups with concrete pads and 50-amps. Friendly service, easy check-in.
Feb 10, 2025 · Susan SchwadererTerrible owner. We had been here about 3 weeks and using the laundry I left a couple bags in the laundry house over night one night placed off to the side. (They were not taking up a washer/dryer) I go back the next day the door code isn’t working and the owner told me homeless people broke in and slept in there. When I call her back she acts like it was stolen or thrown away. Then after begging 24 hours for our clothes back once it had rained all morning she tells me she threw them in the dumpster. It was atleast $1,500 in Ariat/FR clothes. I’ve been traveling for work for 7 years in my camper and have never seen anything like this.
Apr 24, 2025 · dayla ballouBe careful, the people running this park are scammers, they take your money for a monthly stay then 3 days later demand you vacate because they do not like stickers on your vehicle and charge you an inflated daily charge! They are evasive, extremely difficult and will change your contract without notice. Now having to forward a lot of info over to the Oklahoma Attorney General’s office just to intervene to get my money back and hopefully prevent this from happening to anyone else in the future.
Apr 01, 2025 · AW IversIf you aren't on the pond side don't bother coming here unless you want to be stuffed in here like sardines. For the price of this place youd think it would be better. They have showers, wifi, the dumpster overflows twice a week and 3 washers and dryers for like 50 campers to use. Pics are of what they call 'behind the office' since there isn't any of them on here.
May 16, 2019 · Morgan GoodmanI was here for about a week and a half the first day that I was here my cat disappeared. My husband did work for the owner and then they kicked us out after we already paid up four months of rent and we’re the only people of color here so it’s a little weird that we have to leave after a week and a half of being here. The manager is very rude. I’m pretty sure she stole two of my packages from Amazon. The packages say that they’re here in the Rv Park in the office and she refuses to give them to me. The order literally says that it was signed by the office manager and she’s refusing to give me my packages. So I wouldn’t come here and waste your time and money unless you’re trying to get kicked out of a couple days and get your packages stolen
