Old Chimney RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Jamestown, Kentucky area, perhaps while working in the region or looking for a base to explore the attractions of Lake Cumberland? Consider Old Chimney RV Park, located at 332 Old Hwy 127, Jamestown, KY 42629, USA. You can reach the owner, John, for inquiries and reservations at (270) 216-0677 or +1 270-216-0677.
Based on recent customer reviews, Old Chimney RV Park appears to be a promising and evolving option for RV travelers. One reviewer, who travels for a living, enthusiastically recommends the park, highlighting the owner, John's, dedication to ensuring a positive guest experience. The reviewer specifically mentions that John "will do everything you can to make sure your stay is everything you expected," indicating a high level of customer service and a willingness to go the extra mile for guests. This personal touch can be particularly valuable for those who rely on RV parks for comfortable and reliable accommodation while on the road for work or leisure.
The same reviewer also noted ongoing improvements at Old Chimney RV Park, mentioning that John was in the process of upgrading the Wi-Fi signal and even doing some landscaping during their stay. This proactive approach to park maintenance and upgrades suggests that the owner is committed to enhancing the guest experience and continuously improving the facilities. For travelers who value reliable internet connectivity and a well-kept environment, these efforts are significant positives.
Another reviewer describes Old Chimney RV Park as a "basic small RV park" that perfectly suited their needs. This suggests that while it might not be a large resort with extensive amenities, it provides the essential services and a comfortable environment for an RV stay. A key feature mentioned is the availability of full hookups, including water, electricity, and sewer connections. These are fundamental requirements for most RVers and ensure a convenient and self-sufficient stay.
While the park was noted as not having a bathhouse or other extensive amenities at the time of the review, the fact that it had "just opened" is an important context. New RV parks often start with the essential infrastructure and gradually add more amenities over time. The reviewer was optimistic about the park's future, stating, "Give John a chance and I'll bet he has one of the best RV parks in the area!" This forward-looking perspective, based on the clean and level sites and the owner's dedication, speaks volumes about the potential of Old Chimney RV Park.
Despite being a newer and perhaps still developing park, Old Chimney RV Park already offers some appealing features. Clean and level sites are mentioned, which are crucial for ensuring a comfortable and stable parking experience for RVs of all sizes. The provision of a fire ring and a picnic table at each site adds to the outdoor enjoyment, allowing guests to have campfires and dine outdoors. These thoughtful additions enhance the overall camping experience.
One particularly noteworthy feature of Old Chimney RV Park is the inclusion of a "large, clean dog park for the puppers!" This is a significant asset for RV travelers who bring their pets along. A dedicated and well-maintained dog park provides a safe and enjoyable space for pets to exercise and socialize, which is often a high priority for pet owners on the road. The emphasis on cleanliness in the dog park further underscores the park's commitment to a pleasant environment for all guests, including their furry companions.
The location in Jamestown, Kentucky, places Old Chimney RV Park within a reasonable distance of Lake Cumberland, a major recreational attraction in the region. While the exact proximity to the lake is not specified, Jamestown is a gateway town to the lake and its numerous activities, including boating, fishing, hiking, and exploring the scenic beauty of the area. Staying at Old Chimney RV Park could provide a convenient base for those looking to enjoy the outdoor adventures that Lake Cumberland has to offer.
Given that the park is relatively new and under ongoing development, it is advisable for potential guests to contact John directly at the provided phone numbers to inquire about any current amenities, future plans for the park, and specific details about the RV sites. They would be able to provide the most up-to-date information on services, availability, and any promotional offers that might be available to new guests or for longer stays.
In conclusion, Old Chimney RV Park in Jamestown, KY, presents itself as a welcoming and developing option for those seeking "RV parks near me." The positive reviews highlight a dedicated owner focused on customer satisfaction and park improvement, clean and level sites with full hookups, and a significant amenity for pet owners – a large, clean dog park. Old Chimney RV Park Reviews
Will definitely stay here again if I'm back in the area. Made sure that other folks in my industry are aware of this place too. For people like me that travel for a living R. V spots like this or a godsend. John will do everything you can to make sure your stay is everything you expected. Just as I was completing my stay. He was upgrading the WI. Fi. Signal, and even doing a little landscaping. Highly recommend this campground if you're going to be staying in this area for workOr play.

Oct 19, 2024 · Judith Dyehouse (JD)Old Chimney RV Park was PERFECT for what WE want, which is a simple, clean, quiet, and reasonably priced campground as a base for roaming the area during the day. Not needed by us, but if you have a dog, there is a fenced play area a short walk away from the sites. The sites are fully ample in size. All sites and drives are crushed stone, but are really smooth and well done. This is a perfect campground for us and what we want.
Aug 18, 2024 · Horace ClinardBeautiful setting, nice wide sites with all services. We were going to take a walk in the area but it ended up raining. It was a peaceful night's sleep. Thank you for a nice break from the driving 👍
