Old Plantation Manufactured Home Community Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me" in the Riverside, California area, your results might include various options, from traditional recreational vehicle parks designed for short-term stays to manufactured home communities like Old Plantation Manufactured Home Community, located at 3825 Crestmore Rd, Riverside, CA 92509, USA. While the platform category focuses on RV parks, understanding the nature of nearby manufactured home communities can be beneficial, especially for individuals and families considering a more permanent or semi-permanent living arrangement.
Old Plantation Manufactured Home Community can be contacted at (951) 369-7327 or +1 951-369-7327 for inquiries about residency and community details. It's important to note that manufactured home communities primarily cater to individuals and families who own or intend to purchase a manufactured home and lease a lot within the community. They typically offer a different lifestyle and set of amenities compared to short-term RV parks.
Based on recent customer reviews available online, a significant concern appears to be the parking situation within Old Plantation Manufactured Home Community, particularly concerning guests. Multiple reviewers recount negative experiences involving towing of vehicles, even in visitor parking areas or under specific circumstances. One reviewer details their mother's van being towed while she was handling paperwork related to a family death, highlighting a lack of clear signage and resulting in a substantial towing fee. This incident suggests potential issues with parking enforcement and communication of parking regulations within the community.
Further reviews corroborate these parking issues, with mentions of frequent towing and strict enforcement of parking rules. One reviewer notes that each resident is typically allowed only one parking permit per mobile home, making it challenging for residents to have guests. The community allegedly charges an additional $25 per month for a reserved guest parking spot, a policy that has been described as "ridiculous" and indicative of greed. These accounts paint a picture of a community where parking for visitors is limited, costly, and strictly enforced, potentially impacting the social lives and convenience of residents.
The reviews also touch upon other aspects of living in Old Plantation Manufactured Home Community. One long-term resident's spouse describes a decline in the community over time, particularly concerning guest parking. The increasing space rent is also mentioned as a concern, leading at least one resident to actively seek alternative living arrangements. These comments suggest potential dissatisfaction with the management and the overall cost of living in the community.
It's important to acknowledge that these reviews represent individual experiences and may not reflect the views of all residents. However, the consistent negative feedback regarding parking policies and management practices warrants careful consideration for anyone contemplating residency in Old Plantation Manufactured Home Community. Prospective residents should be prepared for potentially restrictive parking rules and additional costs associated with guest parking.
When comparing manufactured home communities to the "RV parks near me" that might appear in your search, the key difference lies in the duration of stay and the nature of the accommodation. RV parks typically offer short-term rental spaces for recreational vehicles and often provide amenities tailored to travelers. Manufactured home communities, conversely, are designed for long-term residents who own their homes and lease the land, fostering a more permanent community environment, often with a different set of rules and regulations.
For individuals seeking a long-term living situation in Riverside, exploring manufactured home communities like Old Plantation might be an option to consider. However, the online reviews strongly suggest the need for thorough investigation into the community's parking policies, guest access, and overall management practices. Potential residents should weigh the potential benefits of long-term residency against the reported challenges related to parking and management.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of Old Plantation Manufactured Home Community, it is highly recommended that prospective residents take the following steps:
1. **Contact the Management:** Reach out to the park management directly to inquire about current parking regulations, guest policies, lot availability, rental rates, and any other relevant community rules and amenities.
2. **Visit the Community:** Schedule a visit to Old Plantation Manufactured Home Community to observe the environment firsthand. Pay close attention to the parking situation, signage, and the overall upkeep of the community.
3. **Speak with Residents (if possible):** If the opportunity arises, try to speak with current residents to gain their perspectives on living in the community, particularly regarding parking, management responsiveness, and any recent changes or concerns.
In conclusion, Old Plantation Manufactured Home Community in Riverside, California, offers long-term living for manufactured homeowners. However, online reviews raise significant concerns regarding strict and costly parking policies, particularly for guests, as well as potential dissatisfaction with management and increasing space rent. Prospective residents are strongly advised to conduct thorough research and visit the community to make an informed decision about whether this manufactured home community aligns with their living needs and expectations. When searching within the "RV parks near me" category, understanding the distinctions between short-term RV parks and long-term manufactured home communities is crucial for finding the most suitable living arrangement.

Old Plantation Manufactured Home Community Reviews
My mom's van was towed while she was was filling out paperwork regarding her brother's death. There were no signs clearly stating she cannot park here at this one location without a permit. It cost her $280 to get the vehicle back. I would not recommend parking inside of the Old Plantation Mobile Home Park EVER! If you do, you are risking getting your vehicle impounded. Every time that I visit, I see a tow truck driving around just waiting to grab a car for some cash. I also want to add that my aunt's vehicle was towed away on Easter Sunday in 2017, while we were having lunch. The park manager said it was okay to park on the street, but my aunt's experience said otherwise. That cost her a ridiculous $380 because it was a holiday.Update: The park manager gave us lifetime parking permits for the trouble but had failed to reimburse my aunt and my mom for the towing fee. I refuse to change my rating until this happens.Another update: The old lifetime permits are now null and void and we were only given one permit (which conveniently says Dynamic Towing), which means when our family has a gathering, one of us parks in the carport, one parks with the permit, and the other has to park in guest parking near the clubhouse and walk a long ways. It's too bad most of the parking is either reserved or permit only. My one remaining uncle is now actively looking for another place to live because of the ever increasing space rent and the greed.
May 26, 2019 · Chris LeeThis is my wife's review. This is the worst place ever to live! My brother has lived there for the last 23 years. It was nice when he first moved there, but now it is awful. The residents cannot have guests over without having a parking permit. Each resident is only allowed 1 per mobile home. If you are parked in a parking spot without a permit, you will be towed away. The park charges $25 per month for a reserved spot, if you want your guests to have a place to park. Absolutely ridiculous! Let the buyer beware! I would give this place a negative 5 star rating if I could!
Nov 05, 2019 · Daniel LeeManagement is horrible. The price of living here is not worth the headaches. They’re having a lot of people renew their homes, which fine it makes the park look more presentable, however, everything they are asking people to do, many can’t afford to do so. This is NOT a luxury mobile home park to be asking so much of the residents. They’re also getting rid of all single wide homes which is unfortunate for those who have been there for a long time and are having to sell.
Oct 25, 2019 · Lily ColemanPlease don’t park here!! Anywhere. Don’t park in any parking spots even if you are a guest!! Even if you have a pass they will tow your vehicle!! Had pass on dash got towed $380.00 dollars later got it out. They only had my vehicle 2 hrs! This mobile home park needs to be on eyewitness news!!!!
Dec 01, 2019 · Matthew SalmonThere is a pile of garbage behind my back fence. It has been there for more than a week. I informed our manager, she doesn't seem concerned , as it's still there. She is a bully, she yells if you attempt to have a normal conversation with her. The Housing Authority told me she cannot just wander into people's yards without notifying them. Yet she does, she is at my house so often that she is very close to crossing the line between harassment and stalking.
