Peach Orchard RV Park & Campground Introduce
Local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Augusta, GA area might encounter Peach Orchard RV Park & Campground, located at 3746 Peach Orchard Rd, Augusta, GA 30906, USA. While the name might sound inviting, it is crucial for potential visitors to be aware of some significant negative feedback from recent customers before considering this location for their RV or camping needs. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the environment, services, and features based on the available reviews, highlighting both potential positives and significant drawbacks to help local users make informed decisions.
The environment surrounding Peach Orchard RV Park & Campground appears to be a mix of convenience and significant noise pollution. One reviewer noted the proximity to a Family Dollar store, which offers easy access to basic necessities. This could be seen as a positive aspect for those who value convenience. However, both reviews strongly emphasize the pervasive noise issues. The park is located directly off Peach Orchard Road, a likely busy thoroughfare, resulting in "very apparent" road noise. Additionally, train tracks run along the back of the property, and the loud noise of passing trains, especially at night, is described as a major disturbance. One reviewer specifically mentioned being surprised by the intensity of the train noise. Furthermore, the location is described as "terrible" by one reviewer, citing constant sirens from emergency vehicles due to its proximity to a busy highway. This combination of road noise and train noise, along with potential siren noise, could significantly detract from the peaceful enjoyment typically sought in an RV park or campground.
The services and amenities at Peach Orchard RV Park & Campground, according to the negative review, seem to be severely lacking. A major concern raised is the absence of essential facilities such as an onsite laundry, a wash house (presumably for showers and additional restrooms), and mailboxes for long-term tenants. These are standard amenities often expected at RV parks, especially for those planning extended stays. The lack of onsite management is also highlighted as a significant drawback, potentially leading to delays or difficulties in resolving issues that may arise during a stay. The negative review also points to unprofessional management, citing instances of inflexibility regarding minor issues (like leaving an outside light on during the day), refusal to provide itemized receipts, and a preference for communication via phone or text rather than email, making formal documentation difficult. The alleged mishandling of a refund after an early departure, charging a significantly higher daily rate than the prorated monthly rate, also indicates potentially unfair business practices. While one reviewer mentioned the other guests being "great" and "quiet at night," this positive aspect is overshadowed by the concerns regarding the park's facilities and management.
The features of Peach Orchard RV Park & Campground, based on the reviews, present a mixed picture heavily leaning towards negative aspects. The convenience of having a Family Dollar next door could be considered a positive feature for quick access to supplies. However, this is counterbalanced by the significant noise pollution from the adjacent road and train tracks. The assignment of a "worst site"—an all-sand lot prone to becoming muddy—to a long-term guest, while better sites were allegedly held for short-term visitors, suggests a potential prioritization of transient guests over those with longer reservations. The lack of enforcement of pet policies, with guests allowing their dogs to roam off-leash and not cleaning up after them, is another negative feature that could impact the overall experience, especially for pet owners. The absence of basic amenities like laundry and a wash house further diminishes the park's appeal. The alleged unprofessionalism and uncooperative nature of the management, as detailed in the negative review, are significant negative features that could lead to a stressful and unpleasant stay. The refund discrepancy also points to a potentially unfair billing practice.
Given the overwhelmingly negative experiences detailed in one of the reviews, it is unlikely that Peach Orchard RV Park & Campground would be actively promoting special offers or discounts to attract local RV enthusiasts. The issues raised, such as the poor site conditions for long-term guests, the lack of essential amenities, the noise pollution, and the unprofessional management, would likely deter potential visitors. Any local users searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully consider the serious concerns raised in the reviews. While the park may have been "okay" for a very short visit during a specific event-driven period (Hurricane Helene cleanup), the experiences of a long-term guest were overwhelmingly negative, citing unfair treatment, poor site conditions, lack of amenities, noise issues, and questionable billing practices. Therefore, there is no indication of any positive promotional information that would outweigh these significant drawbacks.
In conclusion, for local users actively searching for "RV parks near me" in the Augusta, GA area, the available reviews for Peach Orchard RV Park & Campground at 3746 Peach Orchard Rd paint a concerning picture. While the proximity to a convenience store might be a minor advantage, the significant noise pollution from the road and train tracks, the reported lack of essential amenities like laundry and a wash house, the allegations of unprofessional and uncooperative management, the issues with pet policy enforcement, and the questionable refund practices are serious drawbacks that potential visitors should carefully consider. The stark contrast between a neutral short-term observation during a specific event and the highly negative long-term experience suggests significant inconsistencies in the quality of stay and management practices. Local RV seekers are strongly advised to weigh these negative aspects heavily and explore other "RV parks near me" in the Augusta area that have more consistently positive feedback regarding their facilities, management, and overall guest experience. The provided phone numbers, (706) 755-5504 and +1 706-755-5504, could be used to inquire further, but the strong negative review warrants extreme caution.

Peach Orchard RV Park & Campground Reviews
2025-01: I recently visited a friend staying here and it was okay. It was almost full due to work crews for Hurricane Helene clean up being in town. The other people staying at the park were great, quiet at night and no issues. However, the road noise from Peach Orchard was very apparent, and the train tracks along the back of the park property will surely give you the surprise of a lifetime when a train goes by since it's so loud. It was convenient having a Family Dollar next door to easily and quickly walk to for some basic or last minute things you might want or need.
Jan 28, 2025 · Katrina HoyleOne-Star Review:I would not recommend this campground to anyone, especially military families. My husband, an active-duty soldier, was stationed at Fort Eisenhower for training, and we had arranged months in advance to stay here from January to April. Despite this, we were assigned one of the worst sites—an all-sand lot that turned into a mess when it rained, making it nearly impossible to keep our camper clean as we constantly tracked in mud and sand. Meanwhile, better, more level sites were available but were reserved for short-term guests. When we requested to be relocated, they refused, telling us we could leave if we were unhappy, despite knowing we had no other viable options due to hurricane reconstruction and the Masters Tournament limiting availability in the area. The management was unprofessional and difficult to deal with. My husband was forced to leave over something as minor as keeping our outside light on during the day, even after offering to pay any fee if it was an issue. On top of that, they refused to provide an itemized receipt for his travel pay reimbursement, stating they “don’t do that kind of receipt,” and would only communicate via phone or text instead of email, making it difficult to have any formal documentation. The campground itself is severely lacking—no onsite laundry, no wash house, and no mailboxes for tenants. It’s also in a terrible location, right off a busy highway with constant sirens from police, fire, and ambulances, as well as a train that blasts its horn repeatedly around midnight. There is no onsite management, so if you have an issue, good luck getting it resolved in a timely manner. To make matters worse, many guests allowed their dogs to roam off-leash and didn’t clean up after them, making it a nightmare when taking our own pet outside. Despite these clear rule violations, the campground did nothing to enforce their policies. The final insult was how they handled our refund. We had paid $787 for a full month, but after being kicked out just seven days in, they charged us $455 for those seven days—effectively billing us $65 per day instead of prorating our original monthly rate of $26 per day. This refund discrepancy was completely unreasonable and felt like a blatant ripoff. Also, I would like to add on the phone call when they asked us to vacate the property they said we would receive a full refund. If you are coming to Fort Eisenhower or the Augusta, GA area, do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This campground is not worth the stress, the poor treatment, or the money.
Mar 18, 2025 · Allie KingI wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Management is terrible, and the park is poorly maintained. They charge significantly more than other locations because power is included in the bill, but they strictly monitor usage—expect issues if you leave an outdoor light on during the day or have a minor hose leak. The park is littered with off-leash animals, random piles of waste, and rundown campers that belong in a junkyard. There’s no on-site management office, communication is terrible, and there are no washroom or laundry facilities. To top it off, the park sits right off the heavily traveled Peach Orchard Highway, with police, fire trucks, and ambulances passing by at all hours. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.
Mar 19, 2025 · Mr. KingIt was good for the price. It is very basic and no frills - but it's also very cheap and convenient to the Blue Angels air show!
May 01, 2025 · Greg FrancisExactly as described, not glamping and no fancy amenities but a good place to park and stay! Great for short or long term. Easy access to base and restaurants/locations In South Augusta. Convenient self-check in and reservation via website and phone. Had 30 AMP hookup with ample room for parking two vehicles and good water pressure. Thank you!
