Pelican Isle Rv Resort Introduce
Are you a local resident in search of appealing "RV parks near me" for a relaxing getaway? Consider Pelican Isle RV Resort, situated at 1015 SE County Rd 3300 in Kerens, Texas. This RV park offers a unique setting with direct access to the beautiful Lake Richard Chambers, making it an attractive option for those who enjoy lakeside activities and a convenient escape without traveling too far.
According to recent feedback from visitors, Pelican Isle RV Resort provides a great opportunity for a local getaway that is both accessible and affordable. One reviewer enthusiastically highlighted the park's key amenities, including a boat launch, a clubhouse, and a pool. More significantly, the resort's proximity to Lake Richard Chambers was praised for offering excellent fishing, enjoyable pleasure boating, and various water sports activities. This suggests that Pelican Isle RV Resort is particularly well-suited for those who love to spend time on and around the water.
The sense of community at Pelican Isle RV Resort also appears to be a positive aspect, with one guest mentioning that the neighbors are great. This can contribute significantly to a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere during your stay. Additionally, the reviewer noted the availability of rental places within the resort and the occasional opportunity to purchase a lot, which might appeal to those considering a more long-term presence at the lake.
Another review offered a more moderate perspective, describing Pelican Isle RV Resort as a "nice RV park and mobile home pad with a boat dock and pier," while acknowledging that it might not be "classy" but is "decent for starters." This suggests that the park provides essential amenities and a functional space for RV and mobile home users. However, this reviewer also pointed out some potential drawbacks, such as the lots being in close proximity to each other and some of the property appearing somewhat old and dated. These are factors that potential visitors may want to consider based on their personal preferences and expectations.
Security and access are also aspects to note, as the same reviewer mentioned "no one at the entrance and no gates." This might be a consideration for those who prioritize a more controlled or secure environment in an RV park.
Looking towards the future, there is mention of a "huge tiny home community coming up next door," which one reviewer believes makes the area look promising. This development could potentially bring additional amenities or an enhanced overall environment to the vicinity of Pelican Isle RV Resort in the long run. However, this reviewer also felt that the current lot prices, particularly considering the view, were too expensive.
For local users actively searching for "RV parks near me" that offer lakeside access and a range of recreational opportunities, Pelican Isle RV Resort presents a compelling option. The availability of a boat launch directly within the resort is a significant advantage for boating and fishing enthusiasts. The clubhouse and pool provide additional amenities for relaxation and social interaction. The positive feedback regarding the community atmosphere also suggests a welcoming environment.
However, it is important for potential visitors to also consider the points raised about the proximity of the lots, the dated appearance of some properties, and the lack of gated access. These factors might influence the overall comfort and perception of the resort. The comment about lot prices being high seems to refer to purchasing property rather than short-term RV stays, but it provides some context about the perceived value of the location.
To get the most current information on availability, pricing for RV spots, and any ongoing promotions, local users are encouraged to contact Pelican Isle RV Resort directly at (903) 396-7777 or +1 903-396-7777. In conclusion, Pelican Isle RV Resort offers a locally accessible getaway in Kerens, TX, with the significant benefit of direct access to Lake Richard Chambers for boating, fishing, and water sports. The park features a boat launch, clubhouse, and pool. While some aspects of the property may appear dated and the lots are close together, the friendly community and lakeside location offer a unique appeal for those seeking "RV parks near me" with recreational opportunities. It is recommended to contact the resort directly for the latest information and to assess if it meets your specific needs and preferences for an RV park experience.

Pelican Isle Rv Resort Reviews
Want a great get away that doesn’t take hours to get there and doesn’t break the bank? This is the place. Boat launch, club house and pool... but more importantly, the lake. Lake Richard Chambers just outside of Kerens offers great fishing, and pleasure boating and water sports. The neighbors are great. There are rental places or you can buy a lot on rare occasions.
