Pine Lake RV Park Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the Fountain, Florida area, Pine Lake RV Park, located at 21036 US-231, Fountain, FL 32438, USA, presents itself as a potentially quiet option for both short and long-term stays. However, it's crucial to consider the contrasting feedback found in online reviews to form a balanced perspective on what this park offers. While one reviewer highlights the park's peaceful atmosphere and accommodating staff, another provides a significantly negative account regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and management practices.
The location of Pine Lake RV Park on US Highway 231 places it near Fountain, a town in Bay County, Florida. This location offers accessibility to the surrounding area and may provide a quieter setting compared to campgrounds directly in more heavily touristed coastal areas. One positive review mentions the convenience of being able to "drive to the beach by day and relax at night," suggesting that the park offers a balance between proximity to attractions and a more tranquil overnight environment. The mention of a "nice and quiet place to stay" further supports this aspect of the park's location.
In terms of the environment and layout, one reviewer noted "Level parking spots and most are pull through." Level sites are a significant advantage for RVers, as they make setup easier and ensure the proper functioning of RV appliances. The prevalence of pull-through sites is also beneficial, particularly for larger RVs, as it eliminates the need to back in, making arrival and departure more convenient. This suggests that the basic infrastructure of the park is designed with ease of use in mind.
The same positive review mentions meeting the owners and finding them to be "great people." Additionally, the staff is described as doing their "best to accommodate any request." This indicates a potentially friendly and helpful management and staff presence, which can contribute positively to the guest experience. The reviewer also noted that Pine Lake RV Park is "NOT a party camp," which may appeal to those seeking a more peaceful and less boisterous environment.
However, a starkly contrasting review paints a much less favorable picture of Pine Lake RV Park. This reviewer strongly advises against staying at the park, citing several significant issues. One of the primary complaints is the state of the facilities, with the "bathrooms" being described as "gross." Clean and well-maintained restrooms are a fundamental expectation for most campers, and this feedback raises serious concerns about the park's hygiene standards.
The negative review also criticizes the overall upkeep of the property, stating that it is "not very well kept up." This lack of maintenance can detract from the aesthetic appeal of the park and potentially impact the functionality of its amenities. Specific examples include "one of the dryers doesn’t even dry" in the laundry facilities, suggesting that the provided services may not always be in good working order.
Furthermore, the negative review raises serious allegations regarding the park's management and billing practices. The reviewer claims that the park tried to retain their deposit based on an accusation of dog poop that was purportedly "all over the property." This suggests a potential dispute over cleanliness and deposit refunds. The reviewer also alleges unprofessional behavior from the office staff, including hanging up on a guest who was inquiring about the deposit and accusations of yelling when the guest was simply asking questions. These claims, if accurate, indicate significant issues with customer service and management integrity.
The practice of "nickel and dime" charges is also mentioned, with a specific example of an "extra charge for having another vehicle parked by your RV." While additional fees for extra vehicles are not uncommon in RV parks, the reviewer's tone suggests that these charges were perceived as excessive or poorly communicated, contributing to a negative overall experience.
The reviewer concludes by strongly recommending against Pine Lake RV Park, suggesting that there are "so many other RV spots that are much cheaper with way better amenities and don’t try to screw you." This is a strong indictment of the park based on one individual's experience.
The negative reviewer also references other reviews where the park management allegedly provides explanations or justifications for negative feedback, questioning why such defenses would be necessary if the issues were solely the fault of the tenants and why there would be a recurring pattern of negative reviews. This observation suggests a potential pattern of dissatisfaction among some guests and a reactive approach from the management in addressing criticism.
Given these highly contrasting reviews, it is difficult to provide a definitive assessment of the environment, services, and features of Pine Lake RV Park. While one reviewer experienced a quiet stay with level sites and friendly owners, another reported significant problems with cleanliness, maintenance, and management. Potential local users searching for "RV parks near me" should be aware of this mixed feedback and consider these points carefully.
Currently, the provided information does not include any specific promotional offers or discounts for Pine Lake RV Park. For local users interested in potentially staying at this park, it would be prudent to contact them directly at (850) 722-1401 or +1 850-722-1401 to inquire about current rates, availability, and their policies regarding deposits, extra vehicle charges, and maintenance. It might also be beneficial to ask specific questions about the cleanliness of the bathrooms and laundry facilities, as well as their procedures for addressing guest concerns and deposit disputes. Reading more recent reviews on various platforms could also provide a more up-to-date and comprehensive picture of the current state of the park.
In conclusion, Pine Lake RV Park in Fountain, Florida, offers the potential for a quiet stay with level, mostly pull-through sites and reportedly friendly owners. However, significant concerns have been raised regarding the cleanliness of facilities, the upkeep of the property, and the professionalism of the management, particularly concerning deposit refunds and additional charges. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" should weigh these contrasting perspectives carefully and consider conducting further research and direct communication with the park before making a decision.

Pine Lake RV Park Reviews
Nice and quiet place to stay. Level parking spots and most are pull through. Drive to the beach by day and relax at night. I met the owners and they are great people. Staff does their best to accommodate any request. NOT a party camp and that's fine with me. I would highly recommend this campground for short or long-term stay.
Apr 25, 2025 · Mary HofackerI don’t have time to list all the negatives about this place, but there’s a reason why they have such a low rating already. The bathrooms are gross. The property is not very well kept up, one of the dryers doesn’t even dry and they try to keep your deposit claim there was dog poop which is actually all over the property. When you try to talk to the office guy about it he hangs up on you saying that you’re yelling at when I asked if they’re just trying to keep your whole deposit or not. They nickel and dime you, extra charge for having another vehicle parked by your RV. They are so unprofessional. I don’t recommend this place. There are so many other RV spots that are much cheaper with way better amenities and don’t try to screw you.I see on the other reviews they have a paragraph as to why they were in the right, if it really was the tenants fault why is there so many negative reviews time after time. Why they have to defend themselves?

May 07, 2025 · MC GoodrichPerfect location. Outside the hustle and bustle but not to far from several great parks and cities. Wonderful people. Quiet park.
May 01, 2025 · Sierra WalkerLarge camper sites with full hookups and room between campsites. WIFI at sites. Clean bathrooms, friendly staff and hiking trails. About 45 minutes to the beautiful beaches and 15 minutes to some springs. We will be back next year.
