This individual recounts a highly unprofessional encounter with the management upon arrival, alleging that the management was "highly intoxicated" and asked them to leave for no apparent reason after they had paid their fee, set up tents, and cooked food. While the reviewer did receive a refund, the incident occurred late at night and left a lasting negative impression, leading to a strong recommendation against the campground. This review raises significant concerns about the professionalism and conduct of the management at the time of the incident. While the positive review suggests improvements under a "new look developing," this past experience should be considered by prospective visitors. It is advisable to seek more recent feedback to ascertain if management has indeed changed or if these issues have been addressed.

However, prospective visitors should weigh the positive aspects of the environment and ongoing development against the reported past management issues and seek current feedback to ensure a positive and professional experience. Oct 17, 2024 · Jeremy FullerI paid there fee as we arrived...... After setting up tents and cooking food... A misunderstanding from years prior in which the management was highly intoxicated and asked us to leave for no apparent reason.... I did get my money back but extremely unprofessional management was!!!! Especially after midnight when this took place. Would not recommend this camp grounds to anyone!!!!
Apr 17, 2024 · Ken WelchLet me tell you. 4th of July week/weekend 2017 was amazing. After calling hotels and everything being sold out...we decided to go camping. Only place left with a camp spot was Tharps and I wouldn't have had it any other way. They had extra tents they offered us. They put up a pool for our kids. The hospitality was AMAZING! they took us car or watching of the dock. The assistant manager there would get up and make my kids breakfast (pancakes) and listen to my kids tall tales. The owner offered to watch the kids while my husband and I went on their jacks they were gonna let us borrow! This was an experience my family will not soon forget and hopefully soon relive when we go back!
