Sherman Pines Mobile Home Park Introduce
For individuals searching for “RV parks near me” for long-term stays or considering mobile home living in Panama City, Florida, it is crucial to thoroughly investigate the conditions and reputation of potential communities. The information available regarding Sherman Pines Mobile Home Park, located at 1940 Sherman Ave, Panama City, FL 32405, USA, raises significant concerns based on recent customer reviews. These reviews paint a picture of a community experiencing a decline in quality, with serious allegations regarding management, safety, and the overall living environment.
The environment of Sherman Pines Mobile Home Park is described negatively by recent reviewers. One former resident recalls a time "just a couple of years ago" when the park was "top notch," characterized by well-maintained yards and the absence of clutter. However, the current state is described as "going down hill," with observations of "a bunch of stuff just sitting in people's yards" and remaining storm damage ("places that need to be demoed from The Storm"). This suggests a deterioration in the aesthetic appeal and overall upkeep of the community. Another reviewer specifically points out that "the trash dumpster area is nasty" and that "the maintenance up keep on the vacant yards are not kept up," further supporting the assessment of a declining physical environment within the park.
The services and features of Sherman Pines Mobile Home Park, as perceived by recent reviewers, are deeply concerning, particularly concerning the management. One reviewer directly accuses the current owner, Shirley Scott, of negligence and prioritizing profit over the well-being of residents, labeling her a "slum lord." Allegations include a failure to address drug activity within the park, despite residents' awareness and even a reported drug bust the previous week. The reviewer claims that the previous owner (Shirley Scott's husband) would not have tolerated such activity. Additionally, there is a serious mention of a shooting that occurred by the mailboxes three years prior, contributing to the perception of an unsafe environment. The review also describes a deceptive practice related to home sales within the park, where appliances in sold homes are allegedly misrepresented as working and promised to be fixed, only for the buyer to be told "it was as is" after the purchase. This suggests a lack of integrity in transactions facilitated by the park management.
Several alarming features of Sherman Pines Mobile Home Park are highlighted in the negative reviews. The alleged prevalence of "lots of drug active in this park" and the reported drug bust indicate a significant safety concern. The mention of a past shooting further underscores the potential for a dangerous living environment. The accusations against the current owner, Shirley Scott, of turning a "blind eye" to these issues and prioritizing financial gain over resident safety and well-being are severe indictments of the park's management. The lack of maintenance in vacant yards and the "nasty" trash dumpster area point to a decline in basic community upkeep. The reported deceptive sales practices regarding appliances in homes erode trust in the park's management and any transactions occurring within the community. These negative features collectively paint a picture of an undesirable and potentially unsafe living environment.
For individuals searching for “RV parks near me” for long-term stays, the serious safety concerns and the reported decline in the overall environment of Sherman Pines Mobile Home Park should be a significant deterrent. The alleged drug activity and the history of a shooting raise red flags regarding the safety and security of the community. The apparent lack of management attention to these critical issues, as well as the poor maintenance and alleged deceptive sales practices, suggest that long-term RV residents might also experience a substandard living environment and potentially unreliable management. It would be advisable for RV owners to seek alternative parks in the Panama City area with more positive reputations for safety, maintenance, and management.
There is no promotional information available for Sherman Pines Mobile Home Park in the provided reviews. Given the overwhelmingly negative feedback regarding the current conditions and management of the park, any potential promotional offers would likely be overshadowed by the serious concerns raised by residents. Prospective residents, whether considering mobile home living or a long-term RV stay, should prioritize their safety and well-being and carefully consider the significant risks associated with residing in a community described as "awful" and plagued by drug activity and neglectful management.
In conclusion, Sherman Pines Mobile Home Park in Panama City, FL, is presented in recent customer reviews as a community in significant decline, suffering from poor maintenance, alleged drug activity, and a lack of responsible management. The accusations against the current owner include prioritizing profit over resident safety and well-being. The reported history of a shooting and the ongoing drug issues paint a concerning picture of the community's safety. If you are searching for “RV parks near me” for a long-term stay or considering mobile home living in Panama City, the available information strongly suggests that Sherman Pines Mobile Home Park is not a recommended option. The serious safety concerns, the lack of maintenance, and the negative portrayal of the management should prompt prospective residents to seek alternative communities in the area that offer a safer, more stable, and better-maintained living environment. It is crucial to prioritize your safety and quality of life when choosing a long-term residence.

Sherman Pines Mobile Home Park Reviews
The place is going down hill, I remember just a couple of years ago the place was top notch, you didn't have a bunch of stuff just sitting in peaple yard, it's still places that need to be demoed from The Storm.
Feb 22, 2022 · Charles ShumanThe trash dumpster area is nasty. The maintenance up keep on the vacant yards are not kept up. They sell you a home that appliance don't work and tell you they will fix them then when they get your money they tell you it was as is. Shirley Scott is the owner now of the park. Her husband would not stand for all the drug active going on in the park and she turns a blind eye to it. Had a drug bust last week. She don't care. Had a shooting 3 years ago by the mail boxes. Lots of drug active in this park. She has turned into a slum lord. All she wants is money, she does not care about the people in the park. I would not reccomand living there. It is a awful place to live.
Aug 21, 2017 · betsy godfreyThe only reason why I give his place at 3 is because I am not a low-income person. But if this is all you can afford then it is a nice quiet neighborhood
Jun 26, 2019 · Eric AufdencampThis place is absolutely disgusting. I can't believe the city allows this place to look like this. Garbage every where and elderly people with mental disorders just walking around threatening to kill random children. This whole trailer park should be condemned..
