Scenic Community Introduce
For local users in Singapore exploring potential long-term accommodation options in the United States, specifically within the "RV Parks Near Me" category and considering the Asheville, North Carolina area, Scenic Community, located at 45 Scenic Dr, Asheville, NC 28805, USA, offers a residential setting for both RVs and mobile homes. It is important to note that while the platform category is "RV Parks Near Me," this listing includes a community that accommodates both RVs for longer-term stays and traditional mobile homes for potentially permanent residency. Interested parties can contact the community at (800) 274-7314 or their mobile number, +1 800-274-7314, for further information.
Environment and Ambiance:
The available customer reviews for Scenic Community present a mixed perspective on the environment and management of the park. One long-term resident, who has lived in their RV there for nine years, initially found it to be a "nice place to live" until the last couple of years. This suggests a potential decline in the quality of the living environment over time, according to this resident's experience.
Specific concerns raised by this long-term resident include the presence of "a little cluster of old abandoned rv's" on the RV side of the community that management is allegedly doing nothing to address. Abandoned vehicles can detract from the aesthetic appeal of a community and potentially pose safety or maintenance issues. The reviewer also mentions the slow response to a natural event, stating that "6 months after the hurricane there is still debris and downed trees along the road and in the dog walk areas." This indicates a potential lack of timely maintenance and cleanup efforts by the current management, impacting the usability and safety of common areas within the community.
Further highlighting concerns about management responsibility, the reviewer notes "an uprooted portion of a tree between 2 rv's that they seem to think is the renters responsibility." This suggests a potential disconnect between the management's expectations of residents and what might typically be considered the park's responsibility for maintaining common grounds and addressing issues arising from natural events.
In contrast to this detailed negative feedback regarding the RV section and management responsiveness, another reviewer offers a brief but positive perspective, stating, "This is a senior community. Well-located and good place." This suggests that for senior residents, the community might offer a suitable living environment and a favorable location. The "well-located" aspect implies potential proximity to amenities, services, or attractions relevant to seniors in Asheville. The designation as a "senior community" is a significant piece of information, indicating that the park may cater specifically to residents of a certain age group, which can influence the community's atmosphere and the types of services and activities offered.
The address, 45 Scenic Dr, Asheville, NC 28805, suggests that the community is located on a street named "Scenic Drive," potentially indicating a location with pleasant views or a naturally appealing setting, consistent with the community's name. The 28805 zip code covers a portion of Asheville known for its residential areas and proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway, offering potential access to scenic drives and outdoor recreation.
Services and Amenities:
The customer reviews provide limited information about the specific services and amenities available at Scenic Community. The mention of a "dog walk area" in the negative review indicates that the community is pet-friendly and provides a designated space for dog owners. The positive review identifying it as a "senior community" suggests that there might be services or amenities tailored to the needs and interests of senior residents, although these are not specified.
Typically, RV and mobile home communities offer essential infrastructure such as water, sewer, and electrical hookups for each site. They may also provide trash disposal, common area maintenance, and potentially additional amenities like laundry facilities, community rooms, recreational areas (e.g., shuffleboard, bocce ball, swimming pool), and organized activities for residents, especially in senior communities. However, without explicit mention in the reviews, the full range of services and amenities at Scenic Community remains unconfirmed. Prospective residents would need to inquire directly with the community management for a comprehensive list.
Features and Highlights:
Based on the available information, the potential features and highlights of Scenic Community include:
- Senior Community: This is a key feature, suggesting a community tailored to the needs and preferences of older adults.
- Potentially Scenic Location: The address on "Scenic Drive" and the community's name imply a location with attractive views or natural surroundings.
- Pet-Friendly (RV Side): The mention of a dog walk area indicates that RV residents can bring their pets. It is unclear if similar provisions exist for mobile home residents.
- Well-Located (for Seniors): One reviewer found the location to be good, likely in terms of proximity to services, amenities, or attractions relevant to senior living in Asheville.
However, it is also important to note the concerns raised by the long-term RV resident regarding management responsiveness and the upkeep of the RV section of the community.
Promotional Information (Based on Reviews):
Based on the provided customer feedback, promotional points for Scenic Community could cautiously emphasize:
- A Well-Located Senior Community: Offering a good place to live for seniors in Asheville, potentially with convenient access to amenities.
- Scenic Setting: Situated on Scenic Drive, suggesting a location with potentially attractive natural views.
- Pet-Friendly for RV Residents: Providing a designated dog walk area for those living in their RVs.
However, it is crucial to balance these potential positives with the significant concerns raised by a long-term RV resident regarding management inaction on issues such as abandoned RVs, post-hurricane debris, and general maintenance in the RV area. Potential residents, especially those with RVs, should carefully consider these points and seek clarification from the management.
For local users in Singapore exploring long-term living options in Asheville, NC, and encountering Scenic Community in their search within the "RV Parks Near Me" category (which includes both RV and mobile home living here), the available feedback presents a mixed picture. While the community appears to be a well-located senior living option with potential scenic advantages and pet-friendly aspects for RVers, there are significant concerns about the current management's responsiveness to maintenance and upkeep issues, particularly in the RV section. Prospective residents, especially those planning to live in their RVs, are strongly advised to conduct thorough due diligence, including visiting the community, speaking with current residents (both in the RV and mobile home sections), and directly addressing the concerns raised in the reviews with the management before making any decisions about residency. Understanding the specific services and amenities offered to both RV and mobile home residents, as well as the community's rules and regulations, is also essential.

Scenic Community Reviews
I've lived here in my RV for 9 years now. Up until the last couple of years it was a nice place to live. The current manager does nothing. I'm on the RV side and we have a little cluster of old abandoned rv's that management is doing nothing about. 6 months after the hurricane there is still debris and downed trees along the road and in the dog walk areas. There is and uprooted portion of a tree between 2 rv's that they seem to think is the renters responsibility. If your thinking about moving into this park with your rv or mobile home, I would think very carefully about it. Management here is virtually non existent and all the parent company cares about is collecting its rent.
Mar 25, 2025 · Randall SmithThis is a senior community. Well-located and good place.
Apr 02, 2025 · deborah allumA pretty mobile home residential area for 55 and up. Clean, safe, good location east of the VA.
Sep 12, 2024 · Heide PerleThe manager should just stay home and bake cookies, she is not management material. It was the worst place I have ever been in my entire life. Beware of the maintenance man, he is rude, obnoxious . The washers are always breaking down. You are packed in like sardines. No privacy. Showers have mold. There are RVs with junk everywhere. The main garbage overflow every week. You have to load your garbage in your car and drive it to the dumpsters. But, the manager makes decisions based on ...what ever she thinks is good for her that week. But, it is a no-brainer job for someone with no brains.
Oct 08, 2022 · charlotte shoresI lived in this park for a year and they are a billion dollar real estate company who only cares about the $$$$. This is advertised as a 55 and older park but it is not. I had a drunk who moved into a storage building next to me and not only had to see him bathing nude with a water hose but was also subjected to seeing him deficate in his yard. We had police cars coming over far too often because if his behavior. After suffering with no peace for most of the year, he was finally evicted but I lost sleep, was stressed out and got no support from the office. Each and every problem was ignored by management, telling me it was a police matter. A minor also lived across the street with his parents but he lived in their storage building as well. They take advantage of seniors, knowing most are on a fixed income, by increasing the rent each year and they falsely advertise what they offer for the amount they charge (people were paying for a recreation/game room for over two years that was closed) and yet they still raised the rent. If you complain, they retaliate by talking about you and using passive/aggressive behavior. I contacted corporate many times and they offered to buy my mobile home but they were not willing to pay a fair price. They are at the top end on rent and they have little competition so supply and demand keeps them full. I talked to so many people who were financially stressed but feared to complain because they had no place to go and there were few parks in the area. They also have sewer problems because they did not want to invest the money to take care of older pipes so we got to enjoy the smell of sewage often. The manager had the personality of a doorknob, that is, if you can find her in the office. The door was locked much if the time with a sign hanging so it was a hit or miss to find her there. If you are looking for a long term home as you age and you are not rich, look elsewhere or you may be very disappointed. If you are looking for a friendly manager who is professional and will make sure that you can actually enjoy your home and environment around you, run the other way because this is not the place! If you want more info. about these investors and how they run their properties, Google the company and read about the multi million dollar law suit in the CA courts.
