Creekside Cabins & Rv Resort Introduce
Creekside Cabins & RV Resort, located at 29801 US-101, Willits, CA 95490, USA, has been a subject of significant public concern and official action regarding its operational status and safety conditions. While it is listed under the general category of "Camping Near Me" on some platforms and functions as a mobile home and RV park, it is imperative for local users and prospective visitors to be aware of the critical issues that have been publicly reported. The provided phone numbers for the resort are (707) 459-2521 and +1 707-459-2521.
The environment at Creekside Cabins & RV Resort presents a stark contrast between resident perceptions and official reports. Some residents have expressed a positive outlook, stating, "I got love and respect for this place everyday I wake up. They have great families living there and they seem to help out when I was looking for something." This suggests that, from the perspective of some individuals, there is a sense of community and mutual support among the long-term residents. The mentioned "speed limit is 5mph so when my daughter is playing I’m not as worried of her being hit" highlights a perceived sense of safety for children within the park. Additionally, "I love the outdoors and sharing peace and that’s what I practice when I’m there" indicates that for some, the natural surroundings offer a peaceful and calming atmosphere.
However, these positive sentiments stand in sharp contrast to serious public health and safety concerns that have been extensively documented by county authorities and media. Public reports indicate that the property has faced severe challenges, including a sinkhole that significantly impacted road access and widespread issues with raw sewage. Mendocino County Public Health has declared the property a "public health menace" due to "sewage from multiple RVs pooling on the ground" and "many RV systems draining sewage and grey water from small hoses directly into and towards the creek." There have also been reports of "very high levels of E. coli" in the well water, leading to boil water notices and concerns about waterborne bacteria. These conditions create a significant risk of exposure to infectious diseases.
Historically, Creekside Cabins & RV Resort offered spaces for RVs and cabins, with some sites potentially providing full hookups (electric, water, sewer) and amenities like Wi-Fi, showers, and trash pickup, as suggested by older listings. However, the severe and ongoing issues have significantly compromised the resort's ability to provide these services safely and consistently.
The primary feature that has become a critical impediment is the road access. As reported, a "sinkhole cut off the road in the storm" in late 2022, making vehicular ingress and egress impossible for an extended period. Although a temporary bridge was installed by the county in January 2023 to facilitate evacuation, it was a short-term solution, and residents were given a limited window to leave. This means that as of recent information, regular, safe vehicular access to the property is not reliably available, severely impacting the functionality of an RV resort or mobile home park.
Furthermore, the condemnation of the property by the County Health Department due to "raw sewage leaking into the creek" and other "public health risks" indicates a fundamental breakdown in the provision of sanitary services. The inability to access and pump septic tanks due to road issues, and the direct discharge of sewage into the environment, make it unsafe for habitation. The County has also initiated legal action against the property owner to address these hazardous conditions.
The presence of "lots of permanent residents - very marginalized people and families" suggests that the resort has functioned as a form of extremely low-income housing. However, the county's actions have focused on evacuating these residents due to the unsafe and unhealthy living conditions, with concerns raised about their displacement.
Given the severe and officially documented public health and safety concerns, any promotional information regarding Creekside Cabins & RV Resort must be presented with a strong cautionary advisory. While some residents express positive personal experiences regarding community, the overriding evidence from official sources and other reviews points to a property that is currently unfit for safe occupancy and recreational use.
For local users searching "Camping Near Me," or considering this location for a long-term manufactured home residence, it is absolutely critical to understand the following:
- Property Condemnation: The Mendocino County Public Health has declared the property a "public health menace" and ordered its closure due to hazardous conditions.
- Severe Sanitation Issues: Reports indicate raw sewage leaking into the creek and pooling on the ground, posing significant health risks.
- Compromised Access: The main road access has been severely impacted by a sinkhole, leading to evacuation orders and ongoing access challenges.
- Unsafe Drinking Water: E. coli and other bacteria have been detected in the water supply, with boil water notices issued.
While the resort may have historically offered standard camping and RV amenities, the current situation, as publicly reported, indicates that these services are either severely compromised or entirely unavailable due to the unsafe conditions. The property's continued operation for camping or residential purposes under such circumstances would contradict official health and safety directives.
Therefore, for anyone considering Creekside Cabins & RV Resort, direct and urgent inquiry with Mendocino County authorities (e.g., Public Health Department, Code Enforcement) would be essential to ascertain the current legal status and safety of the property before attempting any visit or considering residency. Relying solely on past positive reviews or outdated information would be ill-advised given the gravity of the reported issues. The phone number provided, (707) 459-2521, may be used for direct contact, but it is important to cross-reference any information received with official county sources.

Creekside Cabins & Rv Resort Reviews
No road, it washed out in the storm and my friends were trapped. The owner refuses to fix it. County health dept has condemned the property because of raw sewage leaking into the creek. Gross. Lots of permanent residents - very marginalized people and families. Hope they can find a way out. Unsafe and unhealthy

Nov 26, 2020 · Alec DoyleGot changed $45 for a credit report, first of all, which we never got, they just tell you, your approval is good. For this place? To stay for a month would be horrific, and then put us next to a guy that has like 9 cats! They we're all over his trailer. No thanks. The place is a dump. Sorry guys, but clean up your campground.
Nov 14, 2019 · supernewbie SparkCalled on our way south inquiring about a camp site. The lady on the phone was very nice and informative about the amenities provided for the cheap price of 20 dollars a night. As I walked into the office, I was greeted by a very smokey empty room and a woman barking "who's there?" from a room off to the side. I inquired about the campground and she directed me to drive through and see if we wanted it.Upon our circle through, it became apparent that the grounds were not in fact a place to camp, but instead a trailer park for low income families and tweakers. Dogs, garbage, and sketchy behavior all around. We quickly booked it out of there and found solace elsewhere. The place is not as the signs make it out to be. I would avoid it if I were you.
May 05, 2016 · asiakindredIt is a cult of nasty people that belive in gouls, goblins, and belive their all witches in a cult fighting for the cause of aliens, by killing and eating humans. When I was there I saw one of the residents trying to build a spaceship in the woods behind his rv. Stay away from that place, and keep your children even further. Stay safe, look up!
