Willow Lake Manufactured Home Park Introduce
For local users exploring residential options that might appear under the broad category of "RV Parks Near Me," it's crucial to distinguish between temporary RV parks and long-term residential communities like Willow Lake Manufactured Home Park, located at 12 Monty St in Asheville, NC. While the platform might include various housing types, Willow Lake is a manufactured home park catering to longer-term residents. This introduction aims to provide a detailed overview of Willow Lake Manufactured Home Park based on available resident reviews, focusing on the environment, services, and features as experienced by its tenants.
Willow Lake Manufactured Home Park is situated in Asheville, North Carolina, a city known for its vibrant culture and scenic surroundings in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The initial impression from one long-term resident was positive, describing the park as "great" in earlier years. This suggests that the environment of Willow Lake may have once been more appealing and well-managed. The location in Asheville could still be a draw for those seeking proximity to the city's amenities and the natural beauty of the region.
However, more recent reviews paint a concerning picture of the current living experience at Willow Lake, particularly concerning property management. One former resident attributes a decline in the park's quality to a resident becoming the property manager, alleging constant complaints and what they perceived as "soft core harassment" over minor issues like a grill and picnic table in their backyard. This individual, who considered themselves a good tenant with timely rent payments, strongly advises avoiding the park if the same property management remains on-site, citing the potential for unnecessary stress.
Another former resident who lived in the park for nearly two years with children described a mixed environment. While noting that "the park itself is nice and quiet and most people are friendly," they also mentioned instances of less welcoming behavior from some residents. More seriously, this review details significant issues with the property manager's conduct and the park's maintenance and rule enforcement.
The review recounts an incident where the property manager allegedly made a "big deal" out of the resident's son locking himself out of their home, even involving the park owner. Furthermore, there are claims of the property manager kicking the resident's son's basketballs into a pond behind their trailer, despite the basketball goal being approved upon move-in. This suggests potentially arbitrary and unfriendly behavior from management.
The issue of inconsistent rule enforcement is also raised, with the reviewer stating that "certain rules that only certain people were made to follow that lived in the park," indicating a lack of fairness and potential favoritism within the community.
Maintenance appears to be a significant problem at Willow Lake, according to this same reviewer. They reported their heat quitting six times in one winter and being advised to rely on emergency heat due to the lack of timely repairs. Additionally, a "big hole" was left dug up in front of their mobile home for approximately a week while a water leak was being addressed, and there were "several times over the 2 year period we went without water all day" due to ongoing leak detection efforts. These instances point to potentially slow and disruptive maintenance services.
The review also includes a disturbing anecdote about the property manager calling the police on the resident's son for driving their car within the park while learning, highlighting what the reviewer perceived as excessive and unwarranted intervention in residents' lives, leading to a feeling of constant scrutiny ("always have someone creeping past your house to see what you are doing").
Considering these detailed and negative experiences shared by former residents, the overall environment of Willow Lake Manufactured Home Park, while potentially quiet and with some friendly residents, is significantly marred by serious concerns about property management practices, inconsistent rule enforcement, and maintenance issues. The sense of potential harassment, unfair treatment, and lack of timely repairs paints a concerning picture for prospective residents.
There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Instead, the feedback serves as a strong warning for anyone considering long-term residency at Willow Lake Manufactured Home Park. The issues raised are significant and directly impact the quality of life and sense of security for residents.
In conclusion, while Willow Lake Manufactured Home Park is located in the desirable city of Asheville, NC, the recent experiences shared by former residents raise serious concerns about the property management, maintenance services, and overall living environment. Local users seeking long-term residential options in the Asheville area should carefully consider these negative reports and conduct thorough due diligence before making any decisions. It is strongly recommended to seek further, more current information and potentially speak with current residents (if possible) to gain a balanced perspective that goes beyond the provided, overwhelmingly negative reviews. Willow Lake Manufactured Home Park Reviews
When I first moved in years ago this place was great never had any complaints about anything and then one of the residence there became a property manager and that's all I would get is complaints about everything. I had set up a grill and a picnic table back and my backyard and then all of a sudden that was a problem they were always mentioning my grill being a problem. I considered myself a good tenant I always pay my rent on time but I felt like I was being soft core harassed by these people. If property management is still living on the premises I wouldn't want to live here they can make something out of absolutely nothing and it's just not worth the stress on top of living your daily life. I would avoid this place like the plague.
Jun 25, 2022 · Chad WilburLived here for almost 2 years with my kids . The park itself is nice and quiet and most people are friendly but others just look at you when they drive by. My son had locked himself out of the house one day while I was not home he went and asked the property manager who made such a big deal out of the incident she called the owner of the park to tell her about it. My son also had a basketball goal that was approved to bring at move in and sometimes he would leave his basketballs outside ( in our driveway) and she would kick them in the pond that was behind the trailer. They also made certain rules that only certain people were made to follow that lived in the park. Not to mention my heat quit working 6 times in one winter and was told just to use my emergency heat because they did not know how long it would be until the guy could fix it, had a big hole dug up in front of the mobile home i was renting for like a week so one of the many water leaks could be fixed., were several times over the 2 year period we went without water all day because they had someone out looking for the leak . I am teaching my son to drive and one day he and I were in my car he was driving and Grace saw him driving and called the police on him for taking my car the police came to my house questioning my son about the issue , so if you move here be prepared to always have someone creeping past your house to see what you are doing.
May 07, 2021 · Deanna FrisbeeI lived in this park for three years and didn't have a single good experience. There is always some sort of issue happening, whether is be a water leak of the "landscapers" not doing their job properly. The cost of living in this place is outrageous but it's "5 minutes from downtown." Apparently that's a good enough reason to charge what they do. They seem to be doing smaller renovations but it definitely isn't enough to stay there. The park "manager" is a hateful woman who has no idea what her job is or how to do it. Stay away. Stay far away from this place.
