Traders Village RV Park Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the Grand Prairie, Texas area, Traders Village RV Park, located at 2602 Mayfield Rd, Grand Prairie, TX 75052, USA, presents a location with both unique advantages and potential drawbacks, according to recent customer reviews. You can contact them at (972) 647-8205 or via mobile at +1 972-647-8205 for inquiries about availability and reservations. Situated next to the popular Traders Village flea market, the RV park offers convenient access to the market but also presents some considerations regarding security, amenities, and site conditions.
One of the most notable features of Traders Village RV Park is its direct adjacency to the Traders Village flea market. This proximity is viewed as both a positive and a negative aspect by reviewers. On the positive side, guests enjoy "free entry to the market," providing easy access to a wide variety of vendors, goods, and potentially entertainment. This can be a significant draw for those who enjoy flea markets and the unique shopping experiences they offer. The convenience of simply walking over to the market from your campsite is a definite advantage.
However, the close proximity to the flea market also raises security concerns, as one reviewer pointed out that "the market goers have free access to your campsites as well." This lack of separation between the public market area and the private RV sites could be a significant concern for some guests regarding the security of their belongings and the privacy of their camping space, especially during the busy weekend market days.
Another issue raised by a reviewer pertains to the fluctuating water pressure within the RV park. They reported that the water pressure varies significantly, ranging from 20 to 50 PSI, and that this fluctuation seems to be more pronounced on weekends when the market is open. Inconsistent water pressure can be inconvenient for RVers needing a reliable water supply for various needs, such as showers and sanitation.
The condition of the park's amenities also received mixed feedback. One reviewer described the pool as "more of a duck pond, with resident ducks included," expressing disappointment with this particular amenity. This suggests that the pool might not be suitable for swimming or recreational use in its current state. On a more positive note, the same reviewer mentioned that the "Laundry is reasonably priced," which is a practical consideration for longer stays.
The condition of individual RV sites also varied according to the reviews. One guest described their site as "obviously a former long term site, with a very wobbly (dangerous) paving stone sidewalk." This indicates potential safety hazards on some sites. They also noted that their neighbors were "within arms' reach on both sides," suggesting that some sites might be quite close together, potentially limiting privacy and personal space. Additionally, they mentioned a "cargo strap holding a large tree branch up out of the way," highlighting potential makeshift solutions for maintenance issues.
Despite these criticisms, another reviewer had a more positive experience during their two stays at Traders Village RV Park. They appreciated the park's proximity to "resteraunts and grocery stores," indicating a convenient location for accessing essential amenities outside of the flea market. They also enjoyed the "tree covered concrete spaces," suggesting that some sites offer a combination of shade and a solid parking surface.
This second reviewer acknowledged that "It's not a new park but they upkeep it rather well," indicating that while the park might be older, efforts are made to maintain it. They noted that "of course some things need work but we don't mind because it's clean and safe." This suggests that while the park might have some imperfections, the fundamental aspects of cleanliness and safety are generally maintained.
The staff also received positive feedback from this reviewer, who described them as "very nice." Additionally, they found the residents to be "quiet and mind their business," contributing to a peaceful atmosphere within the park itself. This sense of a respectful and considerate community among the residents is a positive aspect.
The second reviewer also shared a personal experience regarding the diverse community at the park, noting that as an American Black couple, they were initially concerned about a resident flying a Confederate flag. However, they emphasized that this resident "has been to himself" and that they experienced "zero issues" and found "everyone here has been kind and welcoming." They expressed a belief in everyone's entitlement to their beliefs, even if different, and concluded that they "really enjoy staying at Traders and feel it's a great value and nice stay!"
Considering these varied perspectives, Traders Village RV Park offers a unique experience primarily due to its direct connection to the flea market. This provides unparalleled convenience for market enthusiasts but also raises potential security concerns. The park's infrastructure and amenities appear to be somewhat dated, with reports of fluctuating water pressure and a less-than-ideal pool. However, some sites offer shade and concrete pads, and the park is generally considered clean and safe by some visitors. The staff is also mentioned as being nice, and the resident community is described as quiet and friendly by one reviewer.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Grand Prairie, Traders Village RV Park presents a location with a significant draw for flea market shoppers. However, potential guests should weigh the convenience of market access against the potential drawbacks of public access to campsites, fluctuating water pressure, and the condition of some amenities and sites. The positive experiences shared by some guests regarding cleanliness, safety, and the friendliness of staff and residents suggest that the park can still offer a pleasant stay, particularly if the proximity to the flea market is a priority.
To make an informed decision, it is recommended to contact Traders Village RV Park directly at (972) 647-8205 or +1 972-647-8205 to inquire about current rates, site availability, security measures, and the condition of amenities. Asking specific questions based on the concerns raised in the reviews will help potential guests determine if the unique offerings and potential drawbacks of Traders Village RV Park align with their individual needs and preferences for an RV stay in Grand Prairie.

Traders Village RV Park Reviews
Dump. It's next to/ attached to the flea market which is good and bad. Free entry to the market, but then the market goers have free access to your campsites as well. The water pressure fluctuates from 20-50 PSI, especially on the weekends due to the market being open, it seems. Laundry is reasonably priced. The pool is more of a duck pond, with resident ducks included. Disappointed with the entire experience. Our site was obviously a former long term site, with a very wobbly (dangerous) paving stone sidewalk, neighbours within arms' reach on both sides, and a cargo strap holding a large tree branch up out of the way (no, really! See picture). Can't say anything good aside from our neighbours and the location.Stay elsewhere and be happy. $60/night is a complete rip off.
Apr 11, 2024 · PaulMy husband and I have really enjoyed staying here. This is our 2nd time staying here. We came in on a whim and they had spaces available, but it was on Mon,Tues,Weds. We have been told weekends get busy since there's a marketplace next door on the weekends. We enjoy how close the park is to resteraunts and grocery stores. We enjoy the tree covered concrete spaces. It's not a new park but they upkeep it rather well. Of course some things need work but we don't mind because it's clean and safe. The staff has been very nice and the residents are qiuet and mind their business. We were worried as an American Black couple because there is a resident with a confederate flag flying. But he has been to himself. I am from VA where the confederate flag is extremely common so I'm not too bothered. My husband is from AZ and isn't used to seeing it, so at first he was nervous but there has been zero issues and everyone here has been kind and welcoming. We believe everyone is entiltled to their beliefs even if we don't think/feel the same.We really enjoy staying at Traders and feel it's a great value and nice stay!
Mar 11, 2021 · tameca eastmanI love this place!! The staff are very friendly and do their best to accommodate you. Everything is clean, including the small laundry room. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a stay in Texas. The location is great as well, near both Fort Worth and Dallas, with Six Flags nearby. If you are here on a weekend, check out the Farmers Market as well.
Feb 23, 2024 · Km JadeStayed at this RV park for 10 days. Over all it was descent. Full hookups, wifi, laundry facility & store. Staff at check-in/store wasn't very friendly or helpful. Didn't show any hospitality. There was a flea market adjacent to the RV park that wasn't open during weekend due to horrible rainy weather. Reasonable rates & can receive mail.
Oct 18, 2018 · Ljthis is a very nice and convenient RV location. Is located right in the middle of Dallas in Fort Worth. And the Traders village shopping is super fun.
