Plantation Oaks Resort Introduce
Plantation Oaks Resort is located at 1500 N 13th St, West Columbia, TX 77486, USA. For those searching for 'RV parks near me' in the West Columbia area, Plantation Oaks Resort offers both RV sites and cabin rentals. However, it's important for potential guests to be aware of some significant concerns raised in recent customer reviews, which should be taken into consideration when making a decision.
Based on the available customer feedback, the environment at Plantation Oaks Resort has been described negatively by some guests. One review mentions issues with snakes coming into the yard from a nearby pond, allegedly due to infrequent mowing or weed eating. This suggests that the grounds maintenance may not always be satisfactory. Another significant concern raised is the presence of mold in the filtration system of at least one cabin, which reportedly led to the reviewer's family becoming ill during their stay. These accounts paint a picture of potential environmental and maintenance issues that prospective guests should be aware of.
The services at Plantation Oaks Resort have also been a point of criticism in the provided reviews. One guest reported calling for maintenance multiple times for issues within their cabin but stated that no one ever came to address them. Subsequently, this guest claimed they were charged for these unresolved issues upon moving out. This lack of responsiveness to maintenance requests and the alleged unfair billing practices are serious concerns for potential residents or short-term visitors. Another review describes staff members as "very rude," indicating a potential issue with customer service that could negatively impact the guest experience.
Features of Plantation Oaks Resort include both RV sites and cabin rentals, catering to different accommodation preferences. However, the negative reviews raise concerns about the quality and upkeep of these features. The issue with mold in a cabin's filtration system directly impacts the habitability and health safety of that accommodation. The presence of snakes in the yard, potentially due to inadequate grounds maintenance, detracts from the outdoor enjoyment and safety of the property. While the resort may advertise other amenities, the negative feedback regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and staff attitude overshadows any potential positive features.
The customer reviews provide critical feedback regarding the pricing and overall value at Plantation Oaks Resort. One reviewer explicitly states that the "lots and cabins are extremely overpriced" and labels the owners as "greedy." Another review details a significant discrepancy between the quoted nightly rate for an RV site ($50.00) and the actual charges, which allegedly included a $25.00 booking fee, a $25.00 remote fee to open the gate, and a $25.00 site lock fee, effectively doubling the cost. These accounts suggest that the pricing structure may not be transparent and could involve unexpected and substantial additional fees. This discrepancy between the advertised price and the final cost is a major concern for budget-conscious travelers and indicates a potential lack of fair business practices.
Given the strong negative feedback in the provided reviews, potential guests searching for 'RV parks near me' in West Columbia should exercise caution and consider these experiences carefully. The allegations of mold, unresolved maintenance issues, snake problems, rude staff, and significant hidden fees paint a concerning picture of the resort's management and overall quality. While every individual's experience can vary, these recurring themes in the reviews should prompt potential visitors to seek further information and possibly consider alternative accommodations in the area.
It is important to note that this introduction is based solely on the provided customer reviews, which present a negative perspective. It is possible that Plantation Oaks Resort has addressed these issues or that other guests have had positive experiences. However, in the interest of providing an objective overview based on the available information, these concerns must be highlighted. Prospective guests are strongly encouraged to contact Plantation Oaks Resort directly at (979) 479-0150 or +1 979-479-0150 to inquire about these specific issues, understand their current policies, and potentially seek assurances or clarifications before making a reservation.
In conclusion, while Plantation Oaks Resort in West Columbia, Texas, offers RV sites and cabin rentals, the available customer reviews raise significant concerns regarding cleanliness (mold), maintenance responsiveness, wildlife issues (snakes), staff courtesy, and pricing transparency (hidden fees). Individuals searching for 'RV parks near me' in this area should carefully consider these potential drawbacks and conduct thorough due diligence before deciding to stay at Plantation Oaks Resort.

Plantation Oaks Resort Reviews
Terrible place to stay!! Filtration system in the cabin was full of mold. My family and I got sick while staying there. We called for maintenance several times for some issues inside the cabin but they never showed and then tried to charge us for them when we moved out. There was several snakes that came up in our yard from the pond because they rarely mowed or weedeated. Staff members are very rude. Lots and cabins are extremely overpriced. Owners are greedy. Would not recommend to anyone!
Dec 17, 2023 · Roshelle WhiteThis campground is strictly in it for the money. They tell you $50.00 a night for a back in RV site, but the charge you a $25.00 booking fee, $25.00 remote fee to open the gate and a $25.00 site lock fee. It's ridiculous. I don't recommend and I will not go back.
May 17, 2024 · Stephen RicksBeautiful, gated, quiet, and maintained RV & Cabin Park. Facilities were kept nice and the pond was nice to walk around. The place is right behind a nice park as well with a community swimming pool. And it's really close to HEB as well. Overall highly recommended staying here. Prices were fair for both RV & Cabins.
Sep 15, 2022 · JamesWe stayed here over a year for work and it was a very, very nice. Great staff and location, clean, well manicured grounds, nice little cabins fully equipped to stay a few nights or extended stay. We will return to this resort should we work near it again. Can't say enough nice things about this place! Thanks for the stay!!
Jun 14, 2021 · Loop Check Phones, LLCThe cabins here are amazing! My husband is staying long term for work but the kids and I come visit him when he can't make it home. They have all the amenities and comforts of home! I love that they have a washer and dryer in each cabin, very convenient! Also, the owners and grounds keepers are all very friendly and amazingly helpful❣️
