Poche's Rv Park & Fish-N-Camp Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Breaux Bridge, Louisiana area and are interested in a location that advertises both RV camping and fishing opportunities, Poche's Rv Park & Fish-N-Camp, situated at 1080 Sawmill Hwy, Breaux Bridge, LA 70517, USA, is a park to consider. This introduction aims to provide a balanced overview of the environment, services, and features based on recent customer reviews available online, highlighting both the positive and negative aspects to help local users make an informed decision.
One reviewer described Poche's Rv Park & Fish-N-Camp as a "beautiful campground," suggesting that the natural environment and overall aesthetics of the park may be appealing to those seeking a scenic camping experience. This positive feedback indicates that the park might offer attractive surroundings, potentially with well-maintained grounds and pleasant views. If a visually appealing and natural setting is a priority for your RV stay, this aspect of Poche's Rv Park could be a significant draw.
The staff at Poche's Rv Park & Fish-N-Camp are also noted for their positive attributes. One reviewer mentioned that the "staff was very nice and polite," while another described the "employees" as "very friendly and helpful." This consistent feedback regarding the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff suggests that guests can expect a welcoming and supportive service experience during their stay. Positive interactions with park staff can greatly enhance the overall comfort and enjoyment of your time at an RV park.
However, it is crucial to consider the feedback regarding the fishing aspect of Poche's Rv Park & Fish-N-Camp. One reviewer expressed significant disappointment with the fishing experience, stating, "As far as fishing don’t even waste your time or money to just go fishing there." This individual reported spending money on entry fees and worms and, despite being the only ones fishing across all the ponds, did not get a single bite or see any signs of fish. This strongly suggests that the fishing ponds may not be well-stocked or conducive to a successful fishing outing. If fishing is a primary reason for considering this park, it would be wise to manage expectations and perhaps seek additional, more recent information about the current state of the fishing facilities.
In terms of the overall condition of the park, one reviewer noted that while the employees were friendly, "the overall condition of the park was subpar." This is a critical point to consider, as the upkeep and maintenance of an RV park can significantly impact the comfort and enjoyment of your stay. While the reviewer enjoyed their stay, they also indicated that they would likely not return due to the park's condition, suggesting that the issues were significant enough to deter a repeat visit. Local users may want to inquire about the specific areas of concern regarding the park's condition before making a reservation.
Connectivity is another factor to consider. One reviewer reported having "no Wi-Fi signal" at their pull-thru spot, which was located across the campground from the office. They were informed that they were "too far from the office" to receive a signal. While they acknowledged that this was not a major concern for camping itself, it did prevent them from activities like watching a football game. For RVers who rely on Wi-Fi for work, communication, or entertainment, the limited coverage area may be a significant drawback, depending on the location of their assigned site within the park.
The condition of the roads within the park was also mentioned as a concern. The same reviewer noted that the "roads around park in bad shape," adding that the abundance of other campgrounds in the area might make it difficult to justify returning to a park with poorly maintained infrastructure. This issue could affect the ease of navigating the park, particularly for larger RVs, and might also contribute to an overall impression of the park's condition.
Regarding services and features, the reviews provide limited information beyond the availability of pull-thru spots and the presence of fishing ponds. There is no mention of standard RV park amenities such as restroom and shower facilities, laundry services, recreational areas, or specific details about hookups (e.g., water, electricity, sewer). Potential guests will need to contact the park directly to inquire about the full range of services and features available to RV campers.
Similarly, no promotional information or details about long-term stay options are mentioned in the provided reviews. To inquire about current rates, availability, and any potential discounts for short-term or extended stays, local users should contact Poche's Rv Park & Fish-N-Camp directly at (337) 332-0326 or +1 337-332-0326. Speaking with the staff will provide the most accurate and up-to-date information tailored to your specific needs and the duration of your intended visit.
The location of Poche's Rv Park & Fish-N-Camp in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, places it within a region known for its Cajun culture, music, and cuisine. Breaux Bridge is also famous as the "Crawfish Capital of the World." While the reviews do not specifically mention the park's proximity to local attractions, its location on Sawmill Highway suggests it may offer access to the amenities and experiences of the Breaux Bridge area. Potential guests may want to inquire about the park's proximity to restaurants, shops, and other points of interest.
In conclusion, Poche's Rv Park & Fish-N-Camp offers a potentially beautiful campground with friendly staff. However, based on recent reviews, there are significant concerns regarding the fishing experience, the overall condition of the park (including roads), and potentially limited Wi-Fi coverage depending on your site. While the staff's friendliness is a definite positive, local users searching for "RV parks near me" should weigh these factors carefully and consider contacting the park directly to address any specific concerns before making a reservation. It may be beneficial to inquire about recent improvements or the specific condition of the RV sites and amenities.
To make an informed decision about Poche's Rv Park & Fish-N-Camp, please contact them directly at (337) 332-0326 or +1 337-332-0326. Ask specific questions about the current condition of the park, the reliability of Wi-Fi at different locations within the campground, and the recent fishing experiences of other guests. Poche's Rv Park & Fish-N-Camp Reviews
Staff was very nice and polite. Beautiful campground if that’s what you are going for. As far as fishing don’t even waste your time or money to just go fishing there. We was the only people out there fishing on all the ponds. Between all three of us not even one bite and no site at all of fish popping the water top. I was a bit upset after spending $40 on entry fees and worms
Apr 13, 2025 · Shawn WelchStayed in one of their pull thru spots across the campground from the office, spot #25. Employees were very friendly and helpful, however, the overall condition of the park was subpar. Enjoyed our stay but don’t think we will be back. We had no Wi-Fi signal where we were at , apparently we were too far from the office. Not a major concern while camping other than we could not watch my football game. Roads around park in bad shape, just too many campgrounds in the area to let it get in this shape.
Nov 17, 2024 · Mike 63ThibThe toilets were bad! You could not put toilet paper in the toilet and had to put all the papers in the basket, which was gross. The ponds they talk about are brown with stinky sewage
Feb 07, 2025 · Richard HThis is a cool campground. Really wish we had an actual rv now. Large fishing ponds, a plethora rv pads and really friendly ppl at reception.
Jan 31, 2025 · Craig JacksonVery quiet and clean place. Beautiful fishing ponds although we caught more turtles than fish. Splash pad wasn't open but they did have a nice pool to swim (3ft - 5ft) They have a new aqua park but it was way too expensive. Can also rent kayaks and golf carts. Overall a good experience
