One of the standout features of Pondside RV Park, consistently praised by its guests, is the exceptional communication and helpfulness of the owner, Tim. Reviewers describe him as "great with communication" and "very personable and communicative," indicating a high level of attentiveness and a willingness to assist guests, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience from booking to departure. The ease of extending stays, even at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances like storms, further highlights the owner's accommodating nature.
Pondside RV Park offers full hookups at each of its approximately 15 sites, including 50 amp power, sewer, and water. This comprehensive provision caters to the needs of modern RVs, including larger models. The park is indeed "big rig friendly," comfortably accommodating RVs as long as 43 and 44 feet. Guests have the option of pull-in or back-in sites, with at least one pull-through site available. The layout of the park ensures "plenty of room between sites," enhancing privacy and ease of maneuvering.
The environment of Pondside RV Park is described as a "great little back-country campsite" with a serene and relaxing atmosphere. A key feature is the presence of a "small pond" with a golf cart trail around it, providing a pleasant area for leisurely walks and enjoying the outdoors. Additionally, the park boasts "cart/walking trails throughout," offering further opportunities for exploration and enjoying the natural surroundings. The sunsets over the pond are reportedly beautiful, adding to the park's scenic charm.
While the park offers a tranquil setting, it also benefits from a convenient location. It is situated right off of GA-122 (SR122), making it easily accessible. Its proximity to nearby points of interest is also noteworthy, being just 4 miles from Moody Air Force Base (AFB) and 9 miles from Interstate 75. While specific details about other amenities such as restrooms, showers, or laundry facilities are not mentioned in the provided reviews, the focus on full hookups at each site suggests that guests are primarily self-contained within their RVs. However, for longer stays, the availability of these additional amenities can be important, and prospective guests may want to inquire about them directly.
In terms of promotional information, the positive reviews themselves serve as strong endorsements for Pondside RV Park. The recurring themes of a friendly and communicative owner, convenient location, full hookups, spacious sites, and a pleasant environment are compelling reasons to choose this park. Pondside RV Park Reviews
This place is a great find. The owner is great with communication. CASH ONLY. $50 nightly rate. Full hook-up (50 amp power, sewer, water), can take large RVs (ours is 43 ft). Safe area, all the people who live here are polite. There are quite a few dogs. Easy to add another day to our stay, no problems. Nice area to walk around by the pond and the dirt driveway area. We would come back if in the area.
May 10, 2024 · RedeemedSuffererGreat little back-country campsite with ~15 sites with full hookups. Right off of SR122, 4 miles to Moody AFB, 9 miles to I-75. Were in a 44’ toy hauler and chose a pull-in site, but he does have a pull-through and multiple back-ins with plenty of room between sites. Tim, the owner, is very personable and communicative. Extending our stay for a few days was no problem at all. Dogs are abundant, just keep them on a leash and clean up their messes. Site has a small pond with a golf cart trail around it. Site also has cart/walking trails throughout. We stayed here for a month and a few days and have no complaints.

Mar 14, 2025 · Charles CooneAfter living here for 7-8 months I've decided to update my review of pondside RV Park, before I moved out from here I was paying $ 500.00 dollars a month just before the owner raised the rent to $600.00 a month. Rent includes all of the following: electric, water, sewer garbage disposal. even though the owner keeps the grass mowed and the general area clean, when he mows,he doesn't give anyone a notification so you can close your windows and doors to keep the sand and dirt from blowing into your rv or camper. also he won't pay for any damages by him mowing and hitting the many rocks around your rv or camper in your rented space. You find several other campgrounds in the area with much lower prices for your rv or camper. This campground does have a temporary in transit area for the RVs to park in. You would need to call him for the rates. Having lived there for several months, I would highly recommend that you find some where else to go to, especially when you're dealing with someone who is very temperamental.
