R&M RV Park Introduce
Welcome to R&M RV Park, located at 234 Tenco Rd, Pocahontas, AR 72455, USA. For local users searching under the category "RV parks near me," R&M RV Park offers a seemingly straightforward option for overnight stays or potentially longer visits in the Pocahontas, Arkansas area. Based on the limited online reviews, the park presents a mixed picture, with positive remarks about the owner and pricing contrasted by a significant concern regarding the management of pets within the park.
Environment and Atmosphere:
One reviewer who stayed for a single night described R&M RV Park as "quiet" with "nothing going on around the place." They also mentioned enjoying the sounds of nature, specifically "frogs etc.," suggesting a peaceful and potentially rural setting. This could be appealing to travelers looking for a tranquil stop away from more bustling areas. The fact that the reviewer could hear natural sounds indicates that the park might be situated in a less developed or more natural environment.
In contrast, another reviewer, who did not indicate the duration of their stay, mentioned the "obvious condition of most the RVs in the park" but stated they didn't mind this, implying that the park might have a significant number of long-term residents or older RVs. This suggests that the aesthetic of the park might be more functional than pristine. The same reviewer also noted that "These people are busy," which could refer to the owners or long-term residents and might give an impression of an active but perhaps not overly manicured environment.
The most significant environmental concern raised by one of the reviewers was the issue of "dogs running all over the place." This was not a minor inconvenience, as the reviewer stated they "literally couldn't let our dogs go potty without harassment from other dogs" and had to resort to taking their pets outside the park for this purpose. This lack of control over roaming dogs could be a major deterrent for pet owners seeking a safe and comfortable environment for their animals.
Overall, the environment of R&M RV Park appears to be quiet and perhaps somewhat rustic, with a mix of potentially older RVs. However, the serious issue of unsupervised dogs roaming freely is a significant negative aspect that potential guests, especially those with pets, should be aware of.
Services and Amenities:
The limited reviews provide little information about the specific services and amenities offered at R&M RV Park. One reviewer mentioned that the owner was "nice over the phone" and provided a "fair price" for an overnight stay, indicating positive initial interactions and reasonable pricing. However, details about essential RV park amenities are lacking.
Typically, RV parks offer services such as:
- RV Sites with Hookups: Including electricity, water, and sewer connections. The type and amperage of electrical hookups are usually important for RVers.
- Restroom and Shower Facilities: Clean and accessible facilities are a standard expectation.
- Laundry Facilities: Coin-operated or card-operated machines for guest use.
- Wi-Fi Access: Increasingly important for travelers to stay connected.
- Waste Disposal: Designated areas for trash and recycling.
Additional amenities might include:
- Recreational Areas: Such as a clubhouse, playground, or green spaces.
- Pet-Friendly Areas: Designated dog runs or pet relief areas (which seems to be an area of concern based on the reviews).
- Picnic Tables and Grills: At individual sites or in common areas.
To obtain accurate information about the services and amenities available at R&M RV Park, local users are strongly encouraged to contact them directly at (870) 378-0169 or +1 870-378-0169. Inquiring about the specific amenities will help potential guests determine if the park meets their needs.
Features and Potential Considerations:
Based on the limited feedback, the potential features and considerations for R&M RV Park include:
- Nice Owner: Positive initial interaction with the owner reported by both reviewers.
- Fair Pricing: At least for an overnight stay, the price was considered reasonable.
- Quiet Atmosphere: A peaceful environment appreciated by one guest.
- Convenient for Passing Through: One reviewer found it a "Good place for a passing through stay."
However, the significant negative consideration is:
- Uncontrolled Roaming Dogs: A major concern for pet owners, potentially making it unsafe or unpleasant to walk their dogs within the park.
The condition of the RVs in the park, while not a direct feature for short-term visitors, might contribute to the overall aesthetic and atmosphere. The comment about the owner being busy doesn't directly impact the guest experience but could suggest a more hands-off approach to park management or maintenance.
For local users considering R&M RV Park, especially those traveling with pets, it is crucial to weigh the positive aspects of the owner's demeanor and the quiet environment against the serious concern of roaming dogs. If you are traveling with pets, you should definitely inquire about the park's policies regarding pet control and the measures in place to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests and their animals.

- The park's policies regarding pets, including any rules about leashes and the control of animals.
- The availability of amenities such as restrooms, showers, laundry, and Wi-Fi.
- Any specific rules or regulations for guests.
Inquiring about the park's pet policies in detail is particularly important given the negative feedback regarding roaming dogs. Understanding the park's stance on this issue will help pet owners make an informed decision about whether R&M RV Park is a suitable choice for their travel needs.
Conclusion:
R&M RV Park in Pocahontas, Arkansas, appears to be a quiet and reasonably priced option, with a friendly owner, particularly for those seeking an overnight stop. However, a significant concern has been raised regarding the presence of unsupervised dogs roaming the park, which could be problematic for guests traveling with pets. While one reviewer found it suitable for a brief stay, the issue of uncontrolled animals is a serious consideration for any potential visitor, especially pet owners.
Local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Pocahontas area should weigh the limited positive feedback against the potential negative impact of roaming dogs. Direct communication with the owner at (870) 378-0169 or +1 870-378-0169 is crucial to obtain more information about the park's amenities, pet policies, and any measures in place to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all guests and their animals. It would be prudent for pet owners to seek assurances that their pets will be safe and not harassed by other animals during their stay at R&M RV Park.

R&M RV Park Reviews
The owner was nice over the phone. The price was fair. We don't even mind the obvious condition of most the RVs in the park. These people are busy. We can deal with all that. It was the dogs running all over the place. We literally couldn't let our dogs go potty without harassment from other dogs. We had to take our dogs out of the park to do their business. It's a shame. Putting this on our map to never return. Bye, Felicia.
