Raccoon Valley at Volunteer Park, located at 908 E Raccoon Valley Dr, Heiskell, TN 37754, USA, presents itself as a potentially appealing option for RV and camper enthusiasts seeking a tranquil and well-maintained environment. You can reach them for inquiries at (865) 947-9776 or via their mobile number, +1 865-947-9776.
When considering "RV parks near me," factors such as cleanliness, quietness, and available amenities often play a significant role in the decision-making process. Raccoon Valley at Volunteer Park appears to receive positive feedback in these areas from online reviews. One reviewer described it as a "wonderful, clean quiet place," highlighting these as key attributes of the park. This suggests that for those prioritizing a peaceful and tidy camping experience, Raccoon Valley at Volunteer Park could be a strong contender.
Another notable feature mentioned by a neighbor of the park is the presence of "beautiful walking trails." This reviewer, who frequently walks these trails with their dog, praises the fact that the trails are clearly marked with colored flags on trees, aiding navigation and ensuring visitors stay on the designated paths. They also note that the trails lead to the top of a ridge and loop back to the starting point, offering a scenic and convenient outdoor activity for guests. For RV travelers who enjoy hiking and exploring nature, the access to well-maintained walking trails directly from the park is a significant advantage.
It is important to note, as pointed out by the neighbor, that Raccoon Valley at Volunteer Park "doesn't have rooms" and is "exclusively RV's and campers." This clarifies that the park caters specifically to those traveling with their own recreational vehicles or campers and does not offer cabin or motel-style accommodations. Therefore, individuals seeking such options within the "RV parks near me" category would need to look elsewhere.
Regarding amenities, one reviewer specifically mentioned the laundry room. While they described it as "great," they also noted a need for new washing and drying machines. They reported that the existing machines sometimes required multiple cycles to effectively wash and dry clothes, despite the cost of $1.25 per wash and $1.50 per dry. The reviewer suggested that investing in new machines and potentially increasing the price could be a "win-win situation" for both the park and its guests, improving the service and potentially generating more revenue. This feedback indicates that while a laundry facility is available, its functionality could be enhanced with updated equipment.
Considering the information available, Raccoon Valley at Volunteer Park appears to offer a clean and quiet environment with the added benefit of scenic and well-marked walking trails. These features could be particularly attractive to RV and camper travelers who appreciate nature and a peaceful atmosphere. The park's exclusivity to RVs and campers ensures a community of like-minded travelers.
However, potential guests should be aware of the reported issue with the laundry facilities. While functional, the need for multiple cycles might be inconvenient and could add to the overall cost of laundry. It would be advisable for those planning longer stays and relying on the laundry room to inquire with the park management about any plans for upgrading the machines.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the given text. However, the positive reviews regarding cleanliness, quietness, and the walking trails serve as implicit endorsements of the park's appeal. To attract more local users searching for "RV parks near me," Raccoon Valley at Volunteer Park could consider highlighting these strengths in any promotional materials. For instance, they could emphasize the access to nature and the tranquil setting as unique selling points. Additionally, addressing the laundry facility issue by investing in new machines and communicating this improvement to potential guests could further enhance their appeal.
Local users in the Heiskell and surrounding Knoxville areas searching for "RV parks near me" for a weekend getaway or a longer camping trip might find Raccoon Valley at Volunteer Park to be a suitable option, particularly if they value a clean, quiet atmosphere and access to walking trails. The positive feedback from a neighbor who frequently uses the trails suggests that the park is well-integrated into the local environment and offers a valuable recreational resource.
In conclusion, Raccoon Valley at Volunteer Park in Heiskell, TN, offers a clean and quiet RV park experience with the added amenity of beautiful and well-maintained walking trails. While the laundry facilities could benefit from upgrades, the overall sentiment from the available reviews is positive, highlighting the park's peaceful environment and natural surroundings. For local RV and camper owners seeking a serene escape within easy reach, Raccoon Valley at Volunteer Park warrants consideration when searching through "RV parks near me." Prospective guests may want to contact the park directly to inquire about site availability, amenities, and any updates to the laundry facilities to ensure it meets their specific needs.

Raccoon Valley at Volunteer Park Reviews
Wonderful, clean quiet place. The laundry room was great but needs new machines (washer & dryer) the price $1.25 to wash , $1.50 to dry but had to rewash and dry a few times. Buy new machines & increase the price so win win situation for both.Thank You
Apr 23, 2025 · Aubrey McNallyI live next door to this place. Clean, quiet, and beautiful walking trails. I walk them with my dog all the time. I love the fact that the trails are marked with colored flags on trees periodically to keep you on the right trail. They all go to the top of the ridge and circle back to where you started. They don't have rooms. It's exclusively RV's and campers.
Nov 23, 2024 · Jennifer BeaversNo longer an escapees park, price doubled from previous stops. Office was using new software, no longer had our information (we'd been stopping at this rv park for almost 20 years) office workers were unsure what they were doing. We did make a reservation, no one in office although we'd been told there would be. Paperwork was waiting for us, site not level side to side which caused issues setting up the rv. Since the price hike, not sure if we'll be using this rv park in the future.
Jan 14, 2025 · Cheryl SThe manager doesn’t know what she is doing! Called several times to voice concerns about the drug dealers in the park. She never responded! Avoid this place!!!
May 07, 2025 · RichardWe stayed here for 8 nights and loved it! The park is very clean and very quiet! The bathrooms and showers were also very clean! The location is very accessible and a short drive to north Knoxville. The park has a good size dog park! Fran, the manager, was very friendly and very approachable! The only slightly negatives are that the sites are close together and there is no pool. But, that being said, I never heard anyone arrive or leave while staying here! I will definitely stay here again next time I visit family in Knoxville! Thanks for everything, Fran and crew!
