When evaluating potential locations within the "RV parks near me" category, especially for long-term living, it's crucial to consider the experiences of current and former residents. Online reviews can offer valuable perspectives on the management, costs, and overall living environment of a property. However, it's important to remember that these reviews represent individual experiences and may not reflect the views of everyone.
Based on the available online feedback for Tillery Drive Mobile Home Park, there appear to be significant concerns raised by at least one former resident regarding recent changes in the park. This review indicates a shift in the park's affordability and management style following a change in ownership. The former resident stated that the rent has been drastically increased to what they consider "unaffordable conditions," suggesting that the pricing is now comparable to apartment rentals in the area, which they feel is not justified for a mobile home park setting.
Furthermore, this reviewer alleges that the new owners seem to be intentionally displacing long-term residents, including those who have lived in the park for generations. They express concern that the increased rent, coupled with potentially high utility costs (mentioning KUB bills reaching up to $500 for a trailer), and the responsibility for individual repairs, make the overall cost of living at Tillery Drive Mobile Home Park excessively high, exceeding $1000 in their experience. The reviewer contrasts this with the historical affordability of the park, which they believe should cater to "poor people and old people."
The review also raises serious allegations of "hidden fees or violation fees" being levied with little to no notice, which the former resident believes to be potentially illegal. They further claim that the contract terms are structured in a way that could be "predatory," potentially jeopardizing residents' ownership of their mobile homes. The reviewer advises potential newcomers to avoid what they describe as a "scam."
In addition to financial concerns, the former resident mentions a decline in the park's environment and amenities. They note the absence of a "real park for the kids" and point out the presence of "holes in the road," suggesting a lack of maintenance in communal areas. They also criticize what they perceive as unreasonable demands for property upkeep, such as siding or roof repairs, implying that these expectations are financially burdensome for residents.
Another piece of feedback from a visitor mentions an incident of "loud music blasting from an apartment" at 1 am, which they found displeasing. While this is a single incident, it could suggest potential issues with noise levels or the enforcement of community quiet hours.
Considering these points, individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in Knoxville, TN, who are also open to mobile home park living, should approach Tillery Drive Mobile Home Park with caution. The recent feedback strongly suggests a significant increase in costs and potential issues with management practices. It is imperative for prospective residents to conduct thorough due diligence before making any commitments.
This due diligence should include directly contacting the management to inquire about current rental rates, fees, utility responsibilities, and the terms of the residency agreement. It would also be beneficial to visit the property in person to assess the current condition of the park, including roads and any communal areas. If possible, speaking with current residents could provide a more balanced perspective on the living conditions and management style under the new ownership.
For those specifically seeking short-term RV parking within the "RV parks near me" category, the provided information does not indicate whether Tillery Drive Mobile Home Park offers such services. The focus of the feedback is on long-term mobile home residency and the associated costs and management concerns. Therefore, individuals looking for temporary RV stays in Knoxville may need to explore other parks that explicitly cater to recreational vehicles and shorter durations.
In summary, Tillery Drive Mobile Home Park in Knoxville, TN, is a mobile home community. However, recent online reviews paint a concerning picture regarding significant rent increases, potential hidden fees, allegations of predatory contract terms, and a perceived decline in the park's environment and amenities. Prospective residents are strongly advised to conduct a comprehensive personal investigation to determine if Tillery Drive Mobile Home Park meets their needs and expectations for long-term living within the "RV parks near me" category in Knoxville.

Tillery Drive Mobile Home Park Reviews
It use to be a great place to live. New owners bought it and cranked up the rent to unaffordable conditions. They seem to be quietly pushing out the people who have lived here for generations. At these prices might as well get an apartment. The rent is not worth it. KUB can get as high as 500 dollars in a trailer. So my bills are now over 1,000 dollars. Plus being responsible for my own repairs. It went from being very affordable to not affordable at all. They also hit you with a ton of hidden fees or violation fees to take even more of your money with little to no notice. Which is illegal and gonna get them sued. These are CL prices not TN prices. Trailer parks are supposed to be for poor people and old people. They making sure we get no homes all out of greed. We don’t even have a real park for the kids there is holes in the road. These lots are worth 150 a month no more. Nearly 600 after all the junk fees is rediculus. They making people who have owned and rented for years sell. They are very predatory. If you move your trailer here the contract is set up for them to be able to steal it from you. Do not fall victim to this scam. They hit you with a letter every few months to fix siding or your roof they think we just got 1,000s of dollars laying around to get up to there ridiculous standards. This had been a great place to live since the 80s until the last Year or so when they took over. Now nobody can live in peace. Thru keep thestressed out and worried they are going to lose their homes.
