One of the standout features of Round Top-Carmine RV Park is its peaceful atmosphere. Described as a "very nice quiet little Campground" and praised for the "peace and quiet" enjoyed during visits to Round Top, this park appears to be an ideal retreat for those seeking tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of more crowded locations. The quiet setting is particularly appealing for travelers looking for a relaxing base while exploring the surrounding area.
The service at Round Top-Carmine RV Park has also been commended. One reviewer recounted arriving on a rainy New Year's Eve and receiving exceptional assistance from someone named Jack, who showed them to their site and ensured they were settled in comfortably. This personal touch and willingness to go the extra mile in assisting guests contribute significantly to a positive camping experience. The reviewer's willingness to return if traveling past again speaks volumes about the welcoming nature of the park and its staff.
The campground itself is described as "very nice kept," indicating a commitment to maintaining a clean and presentable environment for visitors. The sites are of a "decent size," with the added benefit of "some big rig sites available," making it accessible for RVs of various sizes. This inclusivity is important for travelers seeking "RV parks near me" that can accommodate larger vehicles comfortably.
Round Top-Carmine RV Park's location is also a significant advantage, offering convenient access to various attractions in Central Texas. The park is noted for its proximity to "several historical museums and wineries in the area," as well as the renowned Blue Bell Creameries plant and the popular Round Top Antique Shows. This makes it an excellent base for exploring the cultural, historical, and culinary highlights of the region. Its central location in Texas makes it a convenient stopover for those traveling through the state.
Another notable feature for budget-conscious travelers is that Round Top-Carmine RV Park is "Passport America friendly." This affiliation can provide significant discounts on camping fees for members of the Passport America program, making it an even more attractive and affordable option when searching for "RV parks near me."
One reviewer did offer a suggestion for improvement, noting the mid-August heat and proposing that management consider adding trees in strategic locations to provide shade for the RV sites. They pointed out that the Texas summer sun can be tough on RV air conditioning units. While this is a suggestion for enhancement rather than a criticism of the current facilities, it's a valuable point for the park management to consider for the long-term comfort of their guests during the hotter months.
Despite this suggestion, the overall sentiment from the reviews is positive, with one reviewer explicitly stating, "We will stay again!" This strong indication of satisfaction and intent to return underscores the positive experiences that visitors have had at Round Top-Carmine RV Park.

Round Top-Carmine RV Park Reviews
Very nice quiet little Campground. We arrived on a very rainy New year's Eve but Jack was exceptional. Showed us to our site and made sure we settled in. If he ever threw Carmine and need a place to stop check these guys out. Passport America friendly as well. We spent two restful nights there, thanks again Jack! If we get the opportunity to travel past again we will no doubt stop.
Jan 02, 2021 · Robert n Michelle (Luna Express Travels)This is a very nice kept campground. Decent size sites with some big rig sites available. We have stayed there twice and enjoyed the peace and quiet during our visit to Round Top. Convenient to central Texas with several historical museums and wineries in the area, and of course the Blue Bell plant, and Round Top Antique shows.Mid-August Heat - IF, management wants to do anything that would help this campground, add trees in strategic locations to shade the RV sites. Texas summer sun is tough on those RV AC units. We will stay again!
Aug 20, 2024 · John BrauQuiet, clean park in which to stay. Shade trees, green grass and a catch and release pond. Owners are very friendly and anticipate your needs. Conveniently located a few miles from the Red Barn Roundtop Antique Show. I had vehicle issues and Jack (owner) was there to assist me.Five Stars!
Oct 30, 2021 · Alpen AntiksGreat park, view with a couple of ponds. Laudry, library, bath house and a community center. Lot of local history in the area after all its the birth place of Texas.
Dec 13, 2016 · Dondi GMy wife and I came to the park at the beginning of March 2022 to look for a house. We were at the park till the end of August 2022. We were attracted to it due to location and the dog park. It’s a great place and has everything you need. Laundry, dog park, bathrooms and it’s priced very well for your amenities you get.Getting packages and mail was easy as well. Jack & Lynette are both great hosts and are always improving the park to make it better and it’s obvious. It felt like home and is very well maintained. Thanks for a great stay!
