Rt. 50 RV Park (Behind Hot Spot) Introduce
If you are searching for "rv parks near me" in the Clarksburg, West Virginia area, Rt. 50 RV Park (Behind Hot Spot), located at 1406 E Pike St, Clarksburg, WV 26301, USA, presents a unique option to consider. You can reach them at (304) 838-1448 or their mobile number, +1 304-838-1448, for inquiries and potential stays.
Based on recent customer reviews, Rt. 50 RV Park offers a notably quiet environment where residents are generally left undisturbed. This tranquility can be a significant draw for those seeking a peaceful living space. However, it's important to note that the park is described as "not a vacation place" and primarily caters to full-time residents who are workers in various fields. This suggests a community of individuals seeking a stable and quiet living situation rather than a short-term recreational camping experience.
The park is relatively small, with an estimated six to eight spots, and tends to be mostly occupied by full-time residents. This intimate size could contribute to the quiet atmosphere and a sense of community among the long-term occupants. For those seeking a temporary stopover, availability might be limited due to the prevalence of full-time residents.
A significant positive aspect highlighted in the reviews is the owner, who is described as "very nice and helpful." This suggests a well-managed park where residents can expect a responsive and supportive landlord. For individuals looking for a long-term RV living situation, having an approachable and helpful owner can greatly enhance their experience.
For those specifically looking for a full-time living option in a quiet setting, Rt. 50 RV Park (Behind Hot Spot) is explicitly recommended in one of the reviews. This underscores its suitability for individuals seeking a stable and peaceful long-term residence in their RV.
The location of the RV park has both advantages and potential drawbacks. Its proximity to E Pike Street and Rt 50 is described as a "great location," suggesting convenient access to transportation routes and potentially nearby amenities. However, one reviewer notes that the park is situated "basically on a ledge between E Pike Street and Rt 50." This unique positioning might have implications for noise levels from the adjacent roadways, although one reviewer still found the park to be "pretty quiet."
A notable point of caution is the driveway leading into the park, which is described as "intimidating." It is a "straight shot up a hill," which might pose challenges for larger RVs or during adverse weather conditions. One reviewer specifically raised concerns about how the uphill driveway might fare in the winter. Potential visitors should consider the accessibility of the driveway with their specific RV type and during different seasons.
In terms of pricing, one reviewer mentioned "great pricing," suggesting that Rt. 50 RV Park offers an affordable option, which is particularly attractive for full-time residents on a budget. However, specific pricing details are not provided and would need to be confirmed directly with the owner.
Regarding the environment of the park itself, beyond being described as quiet, there is limited information. The small number of spots and the predominance of full-time residents suggest a more functional and less recreational atmosphere compared to larger, more amenity-rich RV resorts. The "ledge" location between two roads could influence the immediate surroundings, but the overall ambiance of the park is not detailed.
Information about specific services and features is also limited. The reviews do not mention the availability of typical RV park amenities such as hookups (electricity, water, sewer), restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, or recreational areas. Given the focus on full-time residents, it can be inferred that basic utility hookups are likely available, but potential long-term residents should confirm the specifics (e.g., whether sewer hookups are available at each site or if there is a communal dump station, and the reliability of water and electricity). The absence of mention of recreational facilities suggests that the park is more geared towards basic residential needs.
There is no specific promotional information available in the provided reviews. However, the positive comments about the helpful owner and great pricing could be considered implicit advantages for potential residents. Individuals interested in long-term stays should inquire about monthly rates and any potential discounts for extended occupancy.
For local users searching for "rv parks near me," Rt. 50 RV Park (Behind Hot Spot) offers a distinct profile. It is not primarily a destination for short-term vacationers but rather a quiet and affordable option for full-time RV residents and workers in the Clarksburg area. The helpful owner and convenient location are significant benefits, while the challenging driveway and the "ledge" setting are factors to consider. The limited number of spots and the focus on long-term residents might mean that availability for short-term stays is scarce.
In conclusion, Rt. 50 RV Park (Behind Hot Spot) in Clarksburg, WV, is characterized by its quiet atmosphere, affordable pricing, and helpful owner. It primarily serves as a long-term residential community for workers. Its convenient location near major roadways is a plus, although the steep driveway and the "ledge" setting should be noted. For those seeking a permanent or extended RV living situation in a tranquil environment, this park is worth investigating further by contacting the owner directly at (304) 838-1448 to inquire about availability, amenities, and specific terms of residency.

Rt. 50 RV Park (Behind Hot Spot) Reviews
It’s pretty quiet. Pretty much left alone. It’s not a vacation place small 6 or 8 spots mostly full time residents all workers in different fields. Owner is very nice and helpful. If looking for a full time look bing place that’s quiet this is it. The driveway in looks intimidating but you get use to it. Straight shot up a hill, don’t know how that’s gona work in the winter. Also you are basically on a ledge between E Pike Street and Rt 50
