Seabreeze RV Resort (Military Campground) Introduce
If you are a member of the military community or a Department of Defense (DoD) affiliate searching for "RV parks near me" in the Seal Beach, California area, Seabreeze RV Resort, located on Chapel Dr, Seal Beach, CA 90740, USA, is a military campground that may offer accommodation. You can reach them at (562) 626-7504 or +1 562-626-7504 to inquire about eligibility, availability, and specific regulations for staying at this facility.
Seabreeze RV Resort benefits from its location within a Naval installation in Seal Beach. This on-base setting inherently provides a high level of safety and security, which can be a significant advantage for travelers. Additionally, its location in the Seal Beach area offers proximity to the attractions and amenities of this coastal region of Southern California. However, being on a military base also entails specific procedures that potential visitors need to be aware of, particularly regarding gate entry. One reviewer noted the "hassle of dealing with gate entry procedures every time you want to go somewhere" and mentioned that gate opening and closing times might seem random, with two different entrances/exits to the part of the base where the RV park is located. First-time visitors to a Naval installation might also be subject to procedures such as vehicle interior inspections prior to entry, as one reviewer experienced.
Publicly available reviews offer a mixed perspective on Seabreeze RV Resort. One reviewer described it as "your typical military base RV park," noting it is "well kept and spacious with basic amenities." This suggests a functional and adequately sized campground with the fundamental necessities for RV living. The reviewer also acknowledged that while prices might be higher compared to other military installations, they are "fair when compared to anything else in that area of California," indicating that the cost might be relative to the generally high cost of living in the region.
However, more recent feedback indicates some significant changes and concerns. One reviewer stated that while they liked the park in the past, their opinion has changed due to the allowance of full-time residents who are allegedly treated poorly and charged a high monthly rate of "$1900." This significant cost for full-time living raises questions about the value proposition for extended stays.
Several strict policy changes have also been reported. The park now "STRICTLY enforce the 2 vehicle policy," which, unlike in the past, now includes motorcycles. Previously, motorcycles that fit on the pad were not counted towards the vehicle limit, but this has changed, resulting in violations for those with more than two vehicles, including motorcycles. For those needing to bring extra vehicles, "over flow parking" is available about 2/3 of a mile away.
Furthermore, "Boats, kayaks and water toys are not allowed" at the campsites, and violations are reportedly given if these items are kept on the pad. Additionally, "Tents are not allowed" at the RV sites.
Concerns have also been raised regarding the maintenance of the grounds. One reviewer described the "Grass" as "poorly maintained," with some sites being "muddy marshes," others "pooky weedy patches," and some having "squirrel holes to the point of being dangerous to walk on." The playground was also described as "unsafe."
A significant issue highlighted in the reviews is the presence of pests. Black widows and "unmitigated rodent populations" (mice and rabbits) are reported to "infest the place," with droppings on everything outside. Additionally, squirrels reportedly ate the wires in three different cars in one summer, resulting in thousands of dollars in damages. One reviewer concluded that "this place takes the fun out of RECREATION ."
Despite these numerous negative points, some positive aspects were also mentioned:
- Laundry is free.
- Free ice is available (though with occasional bugs, raising concerns about the cleanliness of the ice machine).
- The RV sites have cement pads.
- Good working hookups are provided.
- The base offers some good amenities (though not specified in detail).
- The location is considered great.
Based on the balance of feedback, Seabreeze RV Resort appears to be "fine for short term RV stays as long as you don't bring your motorcycles, kayaks and tents." However, the high cost for long-term stays, strict vehicle and item policies, reported maintenance issues, pest problems, and concerns about the playground's safety are significant factors to consider.
For military members or DoD affiliates searching for "RV parks near me" in Seal Beach, Seabreeze RV Resort offers the security of being on a military installation and a desirable location. However, it is crucial to be aware of the gate entry procedures, the strict two-vehicle policy (now including motorcycles), the prohibition of boats, kayaks, and tents at campsites, and the reported issues with ground maintenance and pests. The high cost for long-term stays is also a significant factor for those considering an extended stay.
Before making a decision, it is highly recommended to contact Seabreeze RV Resort directly at (562) 626-7504 or +1 562-626-7504 to inquire about current policies, availability, eligibility requirements, and to get a clearer understanding of the current conditions of the park and its amenities. Asking specific questions about pest control measures, ground maintenance plans, and the enforcement of vehicle and item restrictions would be advisable. Due to the mixed and, in part, concerning feedback, potential visitors should weigh the benefits of security and location against the potential drawbacks of the park's rules, maintenance, and pest issues.
In conclusion, Seabreeze RV Resort (Military Campground) in Seal Beach, CA, offers a secure, on-base location with good hookups and some free amenities like laundry and ice. Its location is also considered a significant advantage. However, potential visitors need to be prepared for military base entry procedures, strict policies regarding vehicles and recreational items, reported issues with ground maintenance, playground safety, and pest infestations. The cost for long-term stays is also reportedly high. For short-term stays without extra vehicles or prohibited items, it might be an acceptable option, but thorough research and direct communication with the park are essential before making any plans.

Seabreeze RV Resort (Military Campground) Reviews
It's your typical military base RV park. Well kept and spacious with basic amenities. Obviously safe and secure since you're on base but then you have the hassle of dealing with gate entry procedures every time you want to go somewhere. And it seems like they open/close gates randomly so understand there are two entrances and exits to this part of the base where the park is. This was our first stay at a Naval installation (we typically stay at Air Force bases) so we were caught off guard when they wanted to inspect the interior of our trailer before bringing it on base, so that's another thing to be prepared for. Other than that, its a great option for the area. Prices are high when compared to other installations but fair when compared to anything else in that area of California.
Apr 23, 2025 · Brian PrattIn the past we liked this park. That has changed. They now allow full time, But treat you like crap, and charge you $1900 a month for the privilege. They now STRICTLY enforce the 2 vehicle policy and unlike the past this now includes motorcycles. Prior to this summer they didn't count motorcycles towards your vehicle limit as long as they fit on the pad, this has changed and they will give you violations. Sadly my husband and I both ride, but only 1 of us gets to have the motorcycle at the campsite. (They do have over flow parking about 2/3 mile away)Boats, kayaks and water toys are not allowed and again violations are given if you have them on the pad.Tents are not allowed"Grass" is poorly maintained. Some sites are muddy marshes, some are pooky weedy patches, others are full of squirrel holes to the point of being dangerous to walk on.Playground is unsafeBlack widows and unmitigated rodent populations infest the place (seriously the mice and rabbits are out of control and poop on everything outside.) and this summer squirrels ate the wires in 3 different cars resulting in thousands in damagesFrankly this place takes the fun out of RECREATION .On a positive note-The laundry is free-They have free ice (that comes with a free bug or two.... seriously do they EVER clean the machine?)-Cement pads-Good working hookups-The base has some good ammeties-Location is greatThis place is fine for short term RV stays as long as you don't bring your motorcycles, kayaks and tents.
Apr 22, 2025 · MindySpent an entire month here (DEC/JAN). Really nice and clean RV park. Free laundry, ice, big leveled concrete pads with a dedicated spot to park your tow vehicle, and each site has a picnic table. Pull through and back in sites. RV wash available. Camp host (Travis) was extremely helpful throughout out stay. A ton of attraction from Disney land to Huntington beach. I would definitely recommend renting a car if your truck is a dually. Going into LA with a dually and even around Seal Beach was kind of a pain. Doable, but a pain. The park is 64 dollars a night (FHU). Compared to private RV park, this is pretty decent price and the added safety of being on a base is nice as well. One down fall is no dog park, but not a show stopper for us.
Jan 12, 2025 · Joaquin AldanaBRING YOUR BIKE! This place is AWESOME and lovely! It’s a military spot, so only military folks (active duty, retirees, disabled vets, DoD civilians) can stay here. There are armed gate guards. There are so many things to see off base. Note: there is no base exchange or commissary, although there is a very, VERY small shoppette. No gas station on base, either. Beautiful views all around, long, spacious concrete pads with concrete parking for a tow vehicle. Plenty of trails for biking and walking. We biked the Pacific Coast highway for 26 miles. I LOVE that CA has dedicated bike lanes everywhere! We biked all over: Huntington Beach (where there’s a large Rad Bicycle center that you test ride, rent, and purchase RAD ebikes and accessories and get your bike serviced), Seal Beach, Long Beach, and other adjacent towns. Less than an hour to L.A., too! The weather during our visit was sunny and never got above 78 degrees. Highly recommend this very clean and well-maintained Rv park!
Aug 08, 2023 · Jan JanThe recreational park is well kept and clean. The clients are friendly and honest people. Great views of the ocean and wild life preservation refuge provide a soothing atmosphere.
