Shady acres rv park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in central Georgia, specifically in the vicinity of Unadilla, Shady Acres RV Park, located at 2450 Arena Rd, Unadilla, GA 31091, USA, presents itself as an option. While a direct phone number was not provided in the information, its address suggests a location near Unadilla. To inquire about availability, rates, and specific amenities, you may need to search online for contact information or visit the location directly.
When considering "RV parks near me," location is a key factor. Shady Acres RV Park is noted to be "hundred feet from I 75," which offers significant convenience for travelers looking for a quick overnight stop or easy access to the interstate. However, proximity to a major highway can also have implications for noise levels. Potential guests sensitive to traffic sounds may want to inquire about the specific layout of the park in relation to the interstate to assess potential noise impact on their stay.
The environment and condition of the RV park itself are also crucial aspects to consider. One reviewer provides a critical assessment of the park's physical state, stating that "Spaces not level" and that "THEY NEED MAINTENANCE." This suggests that some sites may require leveling blocks for RVs to ensure proper functionality of appliances and overall comfort. The same reviewer also mentions "15 lb. Waterpresure," which could be significantly lower than what many RVers expect and may affect showering and other water-dependent activities. These points indicate that the infrastructure of Shady Acres RV Park might be in need of upgrades or attention.
In terms of services and features, the available reviews offer mixed perspectives. One reviewer mentions "OTA HAS NO SIGNAL," referring to Over-The-Air television reception, which could be a drawback for travelers who rely on local channels for entertainment. The same review also points out the limited access to essential supplies, stating, "No grocery stores within 20 miles." This suggests that guests should plan accordingly for groceries and other necessities before arriving at the park, as convenient access to shopping may not be available nearby. On a positive note, "On site laundry.$" is mentioned, indicating that laundry facilities are available, although likely at an additional cost. The first reviewer also notes "No site guidance" and describes finding the sewer connection as a "Treasure hunt," suggesting a lack of clear signage or assistance in setting up at the assigned site. The observation that "Sites are staggered" might affect maneuverability for larger RVs or the ease of interaction between neighboring campers.
Conversely, another reviewer describes Shady Acres RV Park as "beautiful" and having "amazing amenities." This sharply contrasting opinion suggests that the park may have appealing aesthetic qualities or offer certain amenities that some guests find satisfactory. However, this reviewer also notes that the park is "Little rundown" and highlights a significant issue for smaller RVs: "there is no simple 120V plug," which is what their "lil’ teardrop needs." This lack of a standard household electrical outlet could be a major inconvenience for RVs with specific power requirements. The reviewer also mentions the absence of anyone to call for assistance upon arrival, which could be problematic for first-time visitors or those needing help with setup. They had to resort to parking near the bathrooms and using extension cords, adding "a major inconvenience and 2 extra hrs to my usual 40 min setup." This experience underscores the importance of understanding the electrical hookup options available at each site and the level of on-site support provided.
Finally, the second reviewer mentions "some behives around, be aware!" This is an important environmental consideration for guests who may have allergies or concerns about insect activity. It suggests that the park may have a more natural or less manicured landscape where such wildlife can be present.
When considering Shady Acres RV Park as one of your "RV parks near me," it is crucial to weigh these contrasting experiences and gather more detailed information. Given the issues raised in the reviews, potential questions to ask if you are able to contact the park might include:
- What are the electrical hookup options available at each site (e.g., 30 amp, 50 amp, 120V)?
- What is the current water pressure at the sites?
- Are the RV sites level, and is any assistance provided with setup or finding connections?
- What is the quality of OTA television reception, and are there alternative options like Wi-Fi?
- Are there any grocery stores or essential services located within a closer radius than 20 miles?
- What are the costs and operating hours of the on-site laundry facilities?
- Is there on-site management or staff available to assist with check-in or any issues that may arise?
- What measures are in place to address maintenance concerns and the overall condition of the park?
- Are there any specific guidelines or warnings regarding wildlife, such as beehives?
The stark contrast between the two reviews suggests that individual experiences at Shady Acres RV Park can vary significantly. While one reviewer found it "beautiful" with "amazing amenities" (though also "rundown" and lacking a 120V plug), the other reported issues with site levelness, water pressure, lack of TV signal, remote location from groceries, poor site guidance, and a "treasure hunt" for sewer connections. These discrepancies highlight the importance of obtaining current and detailed information directly from the park before making a decision.
There is no promotional information provided in the available text. If you are able to contact Shady Acres RV Park, it would be wise to inquire about their rates, any special offers, or discounts for longer stays.
In conclusion, Shady Acres RV Park near Unadilla, GA, offers a location very close to I-75, which can be convenient for travelers. However, customer reviews present a mixed picture. One reviewer noted beauty and amazing amenities alongside being "rundown" and lacking a standard 120V plug, while the other cited issues with site conditions, low water pressure, poor TV reception, remote location, and lack of site guidance. Potential guests searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully consider these points and attempt to contact Shady Acres RV Park to gather current and detailed information about their specific needs and the park's current offerings before planning a stay.

Hundred feet from I 75 . 15 lb. Waterpresure. Spaces not level. THEY NEED MAINTENANCE. OTA HAS NO SIGNAL. No grocery stores within 20 miles. On site laundry.$ NO site guidance. Treasure hunt for sewer connection. Sites are staggered.
Nov 08, 2022 · Mike FayIt’s beautiful. And amazing amenities.But. Little rundown. And! There is no simple 120V plug and that’s what my lil’ teardrop needs. But also noone to call. Fortunately it wasn’t busy. So I ended up parking close to the bathrooms to run my extension cords but this added a major inconvenience and 2 extra hrs to my usual 40 min setup. Also some behives around, be aware!
Jul 03, 2024 · Zsofia InhauzerDave is doing a great job updating and reinventing this park. Great for snowbirds. Those working in the area. Plus, this is a park for everyone. No matter who you are Shady Acres is the place to be! My nephew's are interracial so this park fits our needs. Plus I look forward to riding horses at the huge horse farm next door.
Aug 05, 2022 · A BThis is an awesome small park! Manager is so nice thats is the main reason for wanting to rent here. Hopefully my review doesn't sell the place out before I rent a lot here but I couldn't wait to post it because I don't run across many people that aren't greedy and so nice I had to post it.
