Sleepee Hollo RV Park - Kingfisher’s Premium RV Park Introduce
If you are looking for "RV parks near me" and find yourself in or passing through Kingfisher, Oklahoma, Sleepee Hollo RV Park - Kingfisher’s Premium RV Park, located at 20862 US-81, Kingfisher, OK 73750, USA, stands out as a notable option, particularly as one reviewer identifies it as the "only RV park in Kingfisher, Oklahoma that has trees for shade." This could be a significant draw for travelers seeking respite from the Oklahoma sun.
However, it's crucial to approach the consideration of Sleepee Hollo RV Park with an objective understanding based on the available reviews, which present a somewhat contrasting picture of the park and the experience it offers. One reviewer describes the park as "run down and in bad shape," attributing this to the elderly owner while also noting the significant issue of "loud highway noise that wakes you up all night long." This reviewer also expressed dissatisfaction with the $45 fee, describing the toilets and showers as "filthy" and lacking toilet paper. Furthermore, they mentioned a potential challenge with water hookups, stating that a 100-foot water hose was necessary to reach the faucet at the building.
This same reviewer also observed that the park "mostly caters to long-term RV setups," which might influence the availability and suitability for short-term travelers passing through the area. The starkness of this review paints a picture of a park facing significant maintenance and environmental challenges.
Conversely, another reviewer offers a much more positive perspective. This individual explicitly states, "I love it here," and reiterates the unique benefit of having trees for shade in Kingfisher. They describe the "bathrooms are nice" and highlight the convenience of having a "little laundry mat onsite" as a "great plus." The presence of a "patio by the bathrooms and laundry mat that you can sit on" is also mentioned as a positive feature, providing a communal space for relaxation.
This positive review also points out that pets are allowed at the park as long as they are kept on a leash, which is an important consideration for those traveling with animals. Additionally, the reviewer found the "monthly rent is very reasonable," suggesting that the park might be more appealing or better maintained for long-term residents. The owner, identified as "Anna," is described as "a very sweet, lady of the Lord," indicating a potentially friendly and welcoming personal touch.
The stark contrast between these two reviews underscores the importance of considering individual priorities and potential trade-offs when evaluating Sleepee Hollo RV Park. For travelers prioritizing shade in the Kingfisher area and potentially seeking a longer-term stay with a seemingly reasonable monthly rate, this park might hold appeal. The presence of laundry facilities and pet-friendly policies are also notable advantages mentioned in the positive review.
However, the concerns raised in the negative review regarding the park's condition ("run down," "in bad shape," "filthy toilets and showers"), the potentially challenging water hookup situation, and the significant issue of highway noise cannot be ignored. The $45 nightly fee, deemed "greedy" by one reviewer in light of these conditions, might also be a deterrent for some travelers, especially those expecting a higher standard of amenities and maintenance for that price point.
The fact that the park may primarily cater to long-term residents could also mean that short-term sites might be less well-maintained or less conveniently located. Availability for short-term stays might also be limited depending on the occupancy of long-term residents.
Given this information, potential visitors searching for "RV parks near me" in Kingfisher should carefully weigh the pros and cons of Sleepee Hollo RV Park. If shade is a top priority and the possibility of a friendly owner and on-site laundry are appealing, it might be worth considering, especially for longer stays where the monthly rent is perceived as reasonable. However, it is strongly recommended to contact the park directly at (405) 375-5010 or +1 405-375-5010 to inquire about the current condition of the facilities, the specific location and amenities of short-term sites, and to get a clear understanding of the nightly fee and any potential additional charges. It would also be wise to inquire about the proximity to and noise levels from US-81 to make an informed decision about whether this park meets your needs for a comfortable and restful stay.
In conclusion, Sleepee Hollo RV Park - Kingfisher’s Premium RV Park presents a mixed bag based on the available reviews. While it offers the unique advantage of shade trees in Kingfisher and potentially a friendly owner and laundry facilities, significant concerns have been raised regarding the park's overall condition, cleanliness of restrooms, potential issues with water hookups, and disruptive highway noise. Prospective guests should conduct thorough due diligence by contacting the park directly to ascertain the current conditions and policies before making a reservation.

Sleepee Hollo RV Park - Kingfisher’s Premium RV Park Reviews
A nice elderly lady owns the RV park. I don't fault her because it is run down and in bad shape. Neither do I hold her responsible for the loud highway noise that wakes you up all night long. What irks me is her greedy $45 fee! Filthy toilets and showers with no toilet paper. If I hadn't had a 100 foot water hose for the water faucet at the building, I wouldn't have had a water hookup. Mostly, this park caters to long-term RV setups.
Oct 03, 2024 · Dave DerryberryI love it here it's the only RV park in Kingfisher, Oklahoma that has trees for shad. The bathrooms are nice, and having a little laundry mat onsite is a great plus as well, there is a patio by the bathrooms and laundry mat that you can sit on. Your aloud to have pets as long as they are on a leash. And the monthly rent is very reasonable. Anna the owner is a very sweet, lady of the Lord. I would choose this park over all the others in Kingfisher any day of the year.
Nov 11, 2022 · Rebecca SpenceThe lady (Anna) and her son (Steve) that run this park are priceless - they will do anything to make your stay as wonderful as possible. This is our first time staying in an RV park and I hope and pray they are all like this. Very kid friendly - we have 2 kids. My son loves feeding the horses beside the park. Pet friendly - I have a large dog. I love that it’s not just a parking lot with hookups! There’s big trees and it’s open. The people living here have all been very friendly. We have felt right at home here.
Aug 07, 2021 · Jolanda EmmonsIf you are looking for a resort, move on. We just needed a spot to rest up, sleep and head out next day. The owner is marvelous, very sweet lady. The rates are reasonable. It was fairly quiet and my dog enjoyed the stop. Had a pull through large enough for us to not unhook.Getting in and out of the driveway with a 40' mh with tow car was a bit rough, uphill out to the highway. It's mainly a long term locals park on the edge of town. But we're like to talk to locals, and don't care to pay a fortune to sleep in my own bed. It's a nice little stop for weary travelers.
Apr 09, 2021 · Sheryl KinneyThis place does not have a restaurant so food and service can not be horrible as there is no food and service. There is plenty of water pressure. The owners are very friendly and keep the park in good shape. I am here for work for the better part of two years and problems at this RV Park are the least of my worries. Receiving mail and packages has not been a problem.Payment must be cash or check-- no credit cards. Other than that, come on and enjoy rural Oklahoma.
