Somerset Mobile Home Park Introduce
This introduction pertains to Somerset Mobile Home Park, located at 305 W Sheridan Ave, Somerset, OH 43783, USA. While the platform category is "rv parks near me," the subject of this introduction is a mobile home park. Based on the available customer reviews, Somerset Mobile Home Park elicits strongly contrasting opinions, with one reviewer praising its affordability, friendly atmosphere, and non-discriminatory environment, while another describes it as "ran down and trashy" with issues related to management and park maintenance.
Environment and Atmosphere:
One reviewer described Somerset Mobile Home Park as a "great place" with "friendly neighbors" and a "great atmosphere." They specifically commended the affordability of rates and the "a+ customer service," highlighting a positive living experience. This reviewer also emphasized that the park, and particularly a contact person named Sherry, treats everyone equally, regardless of race, color, or background, explicitly stating that there is no discrimination and highly recommending the park.
In stark contrast, another reviewer painted a very different picture of the park's environment. They described it as "ran down and trashy" and noted an infestation of stray cats. This suggests a lack of upkeep and potential issues with animal control within the park. The significant discrepancy between these two descriptions indicates that perceptions of the park's environment vary considerably.
Services and Management:
The positive review praised "a+ customer service" and specifically mentioned Sherry as a "wonderful person" who treats everyone equally and is a "great friend." This suggests a positive interaction with at least one member of the management or staff.
However, the negative review focused heavily on the park manager, also identified as Sherry, whom the reviewer described as "worthless" and someone who has been in that role for at least five years. This reviewer alleged that Sherry lies to new tenants about who will be allowed to live in the park, seemingly favoring her family. Furthermore, they claimed that rule enforcement (regarding bonfires, vehicle limits, trash disposal, unauthorized residents, and lot upkeep) is inconsistent and depends on who is involved. The reviewer also mentioned issues with fencing policies for animals and a prohibition on utility trailers, even if properly registered.
Adding to these concerns, the negative review stated that trash pickup had been interrupted because the bill wasn't paid, despite residents paying for trash and water services monthly. The reviewer concluded that the primary step to improving the park would be to remove the current manager and hire a new maintenance crew, even suggesting that they themselves could manage things better. They also recounted an instance of maintenance staff having to borrow tools from residents to make repairs, highlighting a perceived lack of resources or competence.
These conflicting accounts make it challenging to objectively describe the services and management. While one reviewer experienced positive customer service, the other detailed significant issues with the park manager's integrity, consistency, and the overall management of the park's upkeep and services.
Features of the Park and Homes:
Neither review provides specific details about the types of mobile homes, lot sizes, or communal amenities available at Somerset Mobile Home Park. The positive review focuses on the overall atmosphere and management's interpersonal qualities, while the negative review concentrates on the park's rundown condition and alleged mismanagement.
The mention of overgrown lots and yards in the negative review suggests that the maintenance of individual lots may be inconsistent. The reference to a new lease with rules about bonfires, vehicle limits, trash disposal, animal fencing, and utility trailers indicates some of the regulations in place within the park, although the reviewer claims these are not consistently enforced.
Promotional Information (Based on Available Data):
Somerset Mobile Home Park in Somerset, OH, offers potentially affordable living with what one reviewer described as a friendly atmosphere and non-discriminatory environment. This reviewer praised the customer service and the welcoming nature of the community, recommending it to those interested.
However, another reviewer presented a contrasting view, describing the park as rundown with issues of stray cats and alleging significant mismanagement, inconsistent rule enforcement, and problems with trash service. This perspective suggests potential challenges related to the park's upkeep and administrative practices.
Local users considering Somerset Mobile Home Park should be aware of these divergent opinions. The positive review highlights affordability and a welcoming community, while the negative review raises serious concerns about the park's physical condition and management. Potential residents are encouraged to conduct their own due diligence, including visiting the park and speaking with current residents, to form a balanced understanding.
If you are looking for an affordable option in Somerset, OH, Somerset Mobile Home Park may be worth investigating further. However, given the significant criticisms regarding the park's condition and management in one of the reviews, it is crucial to gather more information and assess whether the positive aspects mentioned by another resident align with your expectations and priorities. Consider contacting Sherry, as mentioned in the positive review, to inquire further, but also be mindful of the issues raised by the other reviewer.
In conclusion, Somerset Mobile Home Park appears to be a community with both positive attributes, such as affordability and a potentially friendly atmosphere, and significant challenges, particularly concerning the park's upkeep and management, according to the available reviews. Prospective residents should carefully weigh these perspectives and conduct thorough research before making a decision.

Somerset Mobile Home Park Reviews
Great place affordable rates a+ customer service great and affordable place to be friendly neighbors great atmosphere highly recommend if ever interesting contact Sherry really a wonderful person and a great friend treats everyone equally regardless of race color or background there is no discrimination in this trailer park everyone is treated equally again highly recommend
Oct 13, 2020 · John HamiltonRan down and trashy. Infested with stray cats. Been the same park manager who is worthless (Sherry) for at least five years now that I know of and she will lie to new inquiring tenants about who they will let in the park to live unless it's her family. Furthermore, she only enforces the new lease rules or any rules in the park like no bonfires, more than 2 vehicles per lot, excess trash dumping in dumpster, depending on who or what it is, new people living in lots with current tenants unauthorized or approved, as well as trash and over grown lots and yards. I will also add the fencing policy for animals, many have outdoor cages, houses, fences and leashes that are not allowed in the new lease. Let me not forget the no utility trailers even if they are tagged and registered in the mobile home owners or renters name. I have witnessed the mismanagement from her for years now and she is still there doing the same as she has for years even with new park owner now twice and now a new park management company working with her. One new problem that has been noticed besides the park manager Sherry not doing her job and not siting her family members for violations that currently live in the park, is the trash not being picked up cause the bill wasn't paid. Evem though every lot pays for there trash and water with every monthly bill they receive with there lit payments each month. The first step to improving this park is to rid of the trash that has been there running it for years now. Sherry, Sherri Cherri however you spell it needs to be gone and new maintained crew as well. I could fix and do things better than they all have in this park for years. Sad when they are fixing things and have to ask the owners of there property to borrow tools to fix things that are broken. So sad and that is just a part of what is wrong with this mobile home park.
