Quarry's Edge Introduce
For individuals seeking "RV parks near me" in the Lancaster, Ohio area that might accommodate long-term RV living, Quarry's Edge, located at 3650 Logan-Lancaster Rd, Lancaster, OH 43130, USA, is a mobile home park that requires careful consideration based on recent resident feedback. You can reach them at (614) 586-7614 or +1 614-586-7614 for inquiries. However, it is essential to thoroughly examine the experiences shared by residents to understand the current environment, costs, and rules before making any decisions about residing here with your RV.
One individual with past familiarity with Quarry's Edge, whose mother-in-law currently resides there, describes it as an "ok park if you need a place to live." However, they immediately point out significant drawbacks, noting that "there are no amenities and they keep raising the lot rent." This lack of amenities implies that potential RV residents should expect a basic environment without communal facilities such as restrooms, showers, laundry, or recreational areas. The recurring increase in lot rent without corresponding improvements is also a crucial financial consideration for long-term stays.
A more detailed review strongly contradicts any notion of an "all inclusive" arrangement, emphasizing that residents are required to pay separately for essential utilities including water (which is reported to have a bad smell), sewage, and garbage. The reviewer further states that the water rates are comparable to city water rates, undermining any potential cost savings one might expect in a mobile home park setting. For RVers accustomed to inclusive fees in many RV parks, this additional layer of expenses is a significant factor to consider.
Another critical aspect highlighted is that Quarry's Edge is reportedly "not kid friendly." The reviewer states that children are no longer allowed to ride their bikes within the park, and the playground was removed a couple of years ago. This lack of recreational opportunities and the restriction on children's activities could be a major disadvantage for families considering long-term RV living at this location.
The issue of rising costs without commensurate improvements is a recurring theme. The reviewer mentions that rent and fees continue to increase, but there have been "no improvements worth mentioning." This suggests a potential decline in value for money over time, which is an important consideration for budget-conscious RVers looking for a stable long-term option.
Furthermore, significant concerns are raised regarding the maintenance of the park itself. The reviewer states that the management does not even salt or sand after snowfall, let alone plow the roads, despite possessing the necessary equipment. This lack of attention to winter road conditions could create hazardous situations and accessibility issues for RVs and other vehicles during colder months.
Communication with management appears to be a significant challenge, with the reviewer stating that "the manager is nearly impossible to get ahold of for any reason at any time." This lack of accessibility to management can be frustrating and problematic for residents needing to address concerns, request maintenance, or clarify park policies.
A particularly concerning new policy involves rent payment. The reviewer reports that the management now requires rent to be paid through an online app. For residents who prefer not to use this method, a substantial "service fee" of $40 is added to payments made by cash or money order. This additional fee for traditional payment methods is described as "absolutely ridiculous" and could create a financial burden for some residents.
Adding to the perceived inconsistencies, the reviewer points out that while there are rules for how residents must maintain their yards, the management's own yard "looks like Sanford and sons," implying a lack of adherence to the same standards they impose on residents. This discrepancy in expectations can lead to resentment and a perception of unfairness.
Finally, the issue of pet fees is raised. The reviewer notes that a pet fee is charged even though all residents own their homes within the park, and there are no rentals. The rationale behind charging a pet fee in a community of homeowners is questioned, adding to the overall sense of increasing costs and potentially unreasonable fees.
Considering the feedback from these recent customers, Quarry's Edge appears to be a mobile home park that may not offer a desirable environment or cost-effective solution for long-term RV living. The lack of amenities, rising lot rent and fees without corresponding improvements, lack of kid-friendly facilities, poor maintenance (especially regarding winter conditions), difficulty in contacting management, the imposition of a significant fee for non-electronic rent payments, and questionable pet fee policy all point to potential challenges for RV residents.
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in the Lancaster, Ohio area, it is strongly recommended to carefully weigh these significant drawbacks associated with Quarry's Edge. The absence of amenities typically expected in an RV park, coupled with increasing costs and restrictive rules, may make it a less attractive option compared to other dedicated RV parks in the region. Prospective residents should prioritize parks that offer essential amenities, transparent and reasonable pricing, and responsive management.
Before considering Quarry's Edge for a long-term RV stay, it would be prudent to contact the park directly at (614) 586-7614 or +1 614-586-7614 to inquire about the current lot rent, all applicable fees (including utilities and pet fees), the availability of any RV-specific amenities or hookups, the park's rules and regulations, and the management's policies regarding maintenance and communication. Visiting the park in person to assess the overall environment and the condition of the grounds would also be a valuable step in the due diligence process. Speaking with current residents, if possible, could provide further insights into the day-to-day living experience at Quarry's Edge.
In conclusion, based on the recent online feedback, Quarry's Edge in Lancaster, Ohio, presents several significant concerns for potential long-term RV residents, including a lack of amenities, rising costs without improvements, a non-kid-friendly environment, poor maintenance, difficult management communication, and questionable fee policies. It is highly recommended to thoroughly investigate these issues and explore alternative "RV parks near me" in the Lancaster area before making a decision.

Quarry's Edge Reviews
I personally don't live there. I use to years ago. My mother in law lives there. It's an ok park if you need a place to live. There are no amenities and they keep raising the lot rent. It could be way better.
Feb 11, 2025 · Michelle WeberThe owner description needs updating. It is NOT all inclusive. You have to pay for water(that smells bad), sewage, and garbage. The rates for water are comparable to city water rates. It is not kid friendly. Kids are not even allowed to ride their bikes there anymore and they took the playground down a couple of years ago. They keep raising rent and fees but have made no improvements worth mentioning. They don't even sàlt or sand after accumulated snowfall let alone plow the roads even though they have the equipment to do so. The manager is nearly impossible to get ahold of for any reason at any time. They now want rent paid through an online app and If you choose not to use app they are adding a $40 service fee to pay by cash or money order...yes that is correct, FORTY DOLLARS!! It's absolutely ridiculous. Also, they have rules for how to keep your yards yet their yard looks like Sanford and sons. They charge a pet fee as well even though it's your home. There are no rentals. Everyone there owns their homes..so why are they charging a pet fee?
