Springtown RV Park Introduce
Welcome to Springtown RV Park, located at 3080 W Hwy 199, Springtown, TX 76082, USA. If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the Springtown, Texas area, Springtown RV Park presents itself as a quiet option, particularly noted for its convenient pull-thru sites, which can be especially appealing for those making a stopover while traveling. Situated along Highway 199, the park offers accessibility for those on the road.
Based on the available customer reviews, the environment of Springtown RV Park has both positive and negative aspects. One of the recurring positives is the quiet atmosphere, which can be a significant draw for travelers seeking a peaceful night's rest. This tranquility suggests that the park may be somewhat removed from heavy traffic noise or other disturbances, contributing to a more relaxed stay.
However, some environmental factors may be a concern for pet owners and those sensitive to ground conditions. The presence of "sand burrs" is noted by one reviewer, which could pose an issue for pets, particularly dogs, as these prickly seed pods can become embedded in their fur and paws, causing discomfort. Additionally, the observation of "cats roaming" freely within the park might be a concern for dog owners, especially if their dogs have a strong prey drive or are not accustomed to interacting with cats.
The condition of the parking sites and roadways within the park also receives mixed feedback. One reviewer described their site as "unlevel partial gravel," which could require extra effort in leveling an RV and might not provide the most stable parking surface. The presence of "pot holes in the road" is another environmental factor to consider, as it can affect the driving experience within the park and potentially pose a risk of damage to vehicles if not navigated carefully.
In terms of the park's community, one reviewer mentioned that Springtown RV Park is "mainly a full timers park." This suggests that a significant portion of the residents are long-term, which can contribute to a stable and established community feel. For short-term visitors, this might mean a quieter environment, but it could also imply that amenities and activities are geared more towards the needs of long-term residents rather than transient guests.
Regarding services, one reviewer specifically mentioned using only the electric hookup during their brief stopover, and they found the pull-thru site to be "very handy." The availability of pull-thru sites is a significant convenience for RVers, especially those with larger rigs or those who prefer not to back in. This feature allows for easier arrival and departure, particularly for overnight stays.
A positive aspect highlighted in another review is the responsiveness of the park management, specifically mentioning the park manager James. A long-term resident experienced a significant electrical issue with their melted plug and reported that James was there "instantly" and fixed the problem. This quick and effective response to a maintenance emergency indicates a level of care and commitment from the management to address the needs of their residents promptly. This is a crucial aspect of service quality in any RV park.
However, the reviews do not provide comprehensive information about other standard RV park amenities. There is no mention of restroom and shower facilities, laundry services, Wi-Fi access, or recreational facilities. For prospective guests, especially those planning a longer stay, it would be important to inquire about the availability and condition of these essential services.
Similarly, the provided information does not include any details about specific promotional offers or discounts that Springtown RV Park might be running. To obtain information on current rates, availability, and any special deals for short-term or long-term stays, it is recommended to contact the park directly using the provided phone numbers: (817) 220-4678 or +1 817-220-4678. Speaking with the management will provide the most up-to-date information and allow you to ask specific questions about the park's amenities and policies.
In conclusion, Springtown RV Park in Springtown, Texas, offers a quiet setting with the convenience of pull-thru sites, making it a handy option for overnight travelers. The park is primarily geared towards full-time residents, which may influence the overall atmosphere and available amenities for short-term guests. While the management is reported to be responsive to maintenance issues, potential visitors should be aware of concerns raised about sand burrs, roaming cats, unlevel gravel sites, and potholes. For those considering a stay, especially with pets, it would be wise to inquire further about the park's environment and amenities to ensure it meets their specific needs and expectations. Contacting the park directly for the most current information on rates and services is highly recommended.

Sand burrs. Cats roaming. Our dogs were unhappy about both. Unlevel partial gravel to park on and pot holes in the road.Mainly a full timers park. It's quiet. Only used electric since it was a stop over while traveling. And our site was a pull thru so very handy.40' motorhome with tow.

May 01, 2024 · Kimberlie HarperNo frills RV park. Level sites of gravel and grass. Utilities work fine (water is a bit awkward to access). No Wifi or cable. No real amenities. The dog park is more of a small pen (it's in the background of the picture I posted). It's not a pretty place and it's geared more toward long-term residents. Price is not too expensive, but slightly high for the quality of the park.
Feb 27, 2022 · Michael MillerNot kid friendly. Initially got turned away for having two children (3 yr old and an infant).Someone else did call back a few minutes later to let me know they would “make an exception”. I appreciated the phone call back, however I declined. The first call put a very bad taste in my mouth.
