The 5B RV Park Introduce
Welcome to The 5B RV Park, located at 297 TX-173, Hondo south, TX, Hondo, TX 78861, USA. For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Hondo area, The 5B RV Park presents itself as a potentially quiet location with the added benefit of clear night skies for stargazing, according to one reviewer. However, it is crucial to consider recent customer feedback regarding the park's condition and management, which presents a contrasting perspective. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on the limited online customer reviews available.
The environment of The 5B RV Park appears to have both positive and negative aspects based on the limited reviews. One reviewer who has friends living at the park describes it as "nice and quiet," which could be appealing to those seeking a peaceful retreat. This same reviewer also highlights the excellent stargazing opportunities on clear nights, suggesting a location away from significant light pollution, allowing for a beautiful view of the night sky.
However, another recent visitor expressed significant disappointment with the park's condition upon arrival. This reviewer noted that the property was not mowed, there were no rental instructions visible, and furniture and trash were present around many of the trailers. The description of one trailer as looking like it "should have been buried" paints a concerning picture of the park's overall upkeep. This feedback suggests that while the location might offer tranquility and dark skies, the actual state of the park could be unkempt and poorly maintained.
The conflicting views on the environment suggest that the experience might vary, or that the park's condition may have deteriorated recently. Prospective visitors should be aware of these contrasting opinions when considering a stay at The 5B RV Park.
Information regarding specific services and amenities at The 5B RV Park is extremely limited in the provided data. The customer reviews primarily focus on the overall condition and management rather than detailing specific offerings:
- RV Hookups (Implied): As an RV park, it is reasonable to assume that The 5B RV Park provides essential RV hookups, including electricity (likely 30 and possibly 50 amp service), water, and sewer connections. However, the quality and functionality of these hookups are not discussed in the reviews.
- Quiet Atmosphere: One positive aspect mentioned is the quiet environment, which could be considered a desirable amenity for those seeking peace and relaxation.
- Stargazing: The clear night skies conducive to stargazing are another potential feature of the park's location.
- Lack of Mention of Other Amenities: The reviews do not mention common RV park amenities such as restroom and shower facilities, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi access, recreational areas, or a camp store. Their presence or absence at The 5B RV Park cannot be confirmed based on the provided data. The negative review specifically mentions the lack of rental instructions, suggesting a potential lack of clear information for arriving guests.
- Issues with Management Contact: The disappointed reviewer noted that they "never was able to reach anybody at the phone number given," raising concerns about the accessibility and responsiveness of the park's management.
- Poor Maintenance: The lack of mowing and the presence of trash and dilapidated trailers indicate potential issues with park maintenance.
Based on the limited customer feedback, The 5B RV Park presents a mix of potential features and significant drawbacks:
- Potential for a Quiet Location: For those seeking a peaceful environment, the park's quietness could be a positive feature.
- Excellent Stargazing Opportunities: The clear night skies offer a unique benefit for astronomy enthusiasts.
- Significant Concerns Regarding Park Condition: The recent negative review paints a concerning picture of unmaintained grounds, trash, and dilapidated trailers, suggesting a potentially unpleasant and unwelcoming environment.
- Potential Issues with Management: The inability to reach anyone at the provided phone number and the overall state of disrepair suggest potential problems with the park's management and upkeep.
- Lack of Information on Essential Amenities: The absence of any mention of basic amenities like restrooms, showers, or laundry facilities in the reviews is also a point of concern.
No promotional information or special offers for The 5B RV Park are available in the provided customer reviews. The negative review mentions that "Your rates may be cheap," but this is not presented as a promotion by the park itself, but rather as a potential reason for the poor condition, in the reviewer's opinion. Given the serious concerns raised about the park's condition and management, prospective visitors should prioritize verifying the current state of the park and the responsiveness of management over any potential cost savings.

The 5B RV Park Reviews
I am sorry to say but we pulled into this park after 4 pm w high expectations and was shocked to see the condition. Nothing mowed, no rental instructions, furniture and trash around most trailers. One looked like it should have been buried. Just a down right disappointment to think you have a 4.5 rating!!! Your rates may be cheap but I would not recommend your rv site to my worst enemy. Could be a diamond in the rough w proper management.PS - never was able to reach anybody at the phone number given
