lived/grew up here when it was still DeVan. it may have had its problems then, but now it is comparable to living in an HOA in some rich southern suburb, instead of a small town in Michigan. Just read the rules out of boredom and curiosity. Nerf guns are not allowed. Your car isn't allowed to break down. You aren't allowed to be drunk, even inside your home. No swimming pools. Only American flags are allowed, and they must be on a flagpole (funny last time i delivered a doordash order there, i saw a confederate flag hanging from someones window). No fences. No trampolines. No blankets allowed for the windows in the winter. This place was better off when it was family owned instead of corporate. Even if it was full of drugs.
