West Point Hills Introduce
For individuals searching for 'RV parks near me' in the Mattawan, Michigan area, West Point Hills, located at 53914 25th St, Mattawan, MI 49071, USA, is a mobile home park that may potentially accommodate recreational vehicles. While primarily serving as a residential community for mobile homes, some such parks also offer sites for RVs, particularly for longer-term stays. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed and objective overview of West Point Hills based on the limited information publicly available, with a specific focus on its potential suitability for RV parking, while also considering the experiences shared by past and potential residents.
Situated in Mattawan, Michigan, West Point Hills is located in a region known for its rural character and proximity to various natural attractions in Southwest Michigan. Mattawan offers a quieter, small-town environment, which might appeal to RV travelers seeking a more relaxed and less crowded setting compared to larger urban areas. The park's address on 25th Street suggests a location that may offer a degree of separation from the main thoroughfares, potentially contributing to a more peaceful atmosphere. However, specific details regarding the park's immediate environment, such as landscaping, the presence of trees, or any unique natural features, are not available in the provided information. Prospective visitors may need to contact the park directly or conduct a site visit to gain a clearer understanding of its physical surroundings.
As West Point Hills is identified as a mobile home park, its infrastructure and services are primarily designed to cater to the needs of long-term residents living in manufactured homes. Nevertheless, if the park does accommodate RVs, certain essential services would likely be necessary for a comfortable stay. These typically include utility hookups such as electricity, water, and sewage connections. For RV users, it is crucial to ascertain the specifics of these hookups, such as the amperage of the electrical service available (e.g., 30 or 50 amp) and whether individual water and sewer connections are provided at each site. This information should be obtained directly from the park management.
In addition to the fundamental utility connections, mobile home parks that also welcome RVs often provide communal amenities for the convenience of all their residents and guests. These may include:
- Laundry facilities: A necessary amenity for both long-term residents and RV travelers, particularly those on extended journeys.
- Waste disposal services: Essential for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment within the park.
- Internal road network: Well-maintained roads are important for easy access to and from individual sites.
- Office and management services: A central point of contact for inquiries, registration, and addressing any concerns or maintenance requests. However, it is crucial to note the negative feedback regarding the office staff in the customer reviews.
It is important to acknowledge that the provided information does not explicitly confirm whether West Point Hills offers specific amenities designed exclusively for RVs. These could include features such as dedicated RV sites with level pads, recreational facilities tailored for temporary visitors, or a designated dump station for the proper disposal of RV waste. Therefore, individuals considering West Point Hills as a potential option for 'RV parks near me' should directly inquire with the park management about the availability of such amenities and the suitability of their facilities for accommodating recreational vehicles of various sizes and types.
The customer reviews available for West Point Hills present significant concerns regarding the management and tenant experience. One potential applicant describes the office staff as "horrible with getting back with you!" detailing difficulties in obtaining updates on their application, rude phone interactions, and a lack of follow-through. This individual ultimately chose to reside elsewhere, strongly recommending against West Point Hills and suggesting that other trailer parks are "a lot better." This review raises serious questions about the professionalism and responsiveness of the park's management.
Another former resident echoes these concerns, stating that "the lady that runs it is rude" and recounts instances of being told one thing and experiencing another. This reviewer, who lived there for a year during a difficult personal time, describes the experience of living at West Point Hills as "hell," despite acknowledging that driving through the park might give a "nice" initial impression. The mention of lease practices, where a new lease is not necessarily done annually, potentially allowing the park to terminate tenancy after the initial lease expires, could also be a point of concern for long-term RV residents.
Given these strongly negative reviews focusing on management issues, potential RV travelers considering West Point Hills should exercise extreme caution and conduct very thorough due diligence. While the location in Mattawan might be appealing to some, the reported negative experiences with the park's administration could significantly impact the quality of stay. It is imperative to directly contact the management to address these concerns and to ascertain their policies and practices regarding communication, tenant relations, and the handling of issues.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for West Point Hills in the provided data. Therefore, we cannot detail any special offers, discounts, or unique selling points being advertised. To learn about any such promotions or long-term stay rates for RVs, direct contact with the park management at (269) 668-3383 or +1 269-668-3383 is necessary. However, given the negative feedback regarding the office staff, potential visitors should be prepared for potentially challenging communication.
In conclusion, West Point Hills in Mattawan, Michigan, is a mobile home park that may potentially accommodate RVs. However, the available customer reviews raise serious concerns about the professionalism and responsiveness of the park's management, with reports of rudeness, poor communication, and negative overall living experiences. Individuals searching for 'RV parks near me' in the Mattawan area should carefully consider this negative feedback and conduct extensive personal research before making any decisions regarding West Point Hills. Direct communication with the park management is essential to inquire about their RV policies, available amenities, and to address the significant concerns raised in the reviews. A personal visit, if possible, would also be highly recommended to assess the environment and interact with the management firsthand, keeping the reported issues in mind.

West Point Hills Reviews
The office ladies are horrible with getting back with you! I applied to West Point hills and every time I wanted an update on my application I had to call! And when they did answer the phone they were very rude and they would say we’ll call you when your application is processed. Well here we are 3 weeks later and still no call or update on that application! West Point hills is horrible there’s plenty of trailer parks out there and they’re a lot better than this!! I’m now in woodland estates very nice trailers! They’re nice people and they will get your approval done in one day and moved in!! DON’T GO TO WESTPOINT HILLS they are only in it for the money!!!
Dec 04, 2024 · OwenThe lady that runs it is rude, and she tells you one thing and does another. I lived there for a year. It was the yr I lost my mom. They don't do a new lease every yr,so they can't kick you out any time after your least expires. Had a friend live there for 4 yrs. She only did a lease when she moved in,then never signed anything until she moved out. Drive through it,it's nice, but live there,it's hell.
Mar 24, 2024 · Diane StevensAmy is a joke! Told my 16 yr old son and 12yr daughter that they were going to be homeless because my son was driving out back by the pond. He didn’t know he wasn’t allowed to and the maintenance guy blocked my kids in until the my sons dad showed up and realized who he was!! My 12 yr was hyperventilating crying so hard so was my son! Needless to say I left that place. And she definitely was sleeping with the maintenance man!
Mar 25, 2024 · Patricia WeeseThis home is move in ready. If you want constant electrical problems and living with a leaking sink and caving in floors amazing place to live. Staff loves to lie lie and interrupt you when explaining issues and claims to have not know about these issues with their property. The better business bureau doesn’t support this business and the health department is aware of several issues within the park. So all in all I wouldn’t recommend this place for even pigs to live, it’s disgusting staff is not kind or understanding and will refuse to help you when they have created issues. You can find way better places to live for cheaper.
Apr 07, 2022 · kayla sheetsWe have lived here over a year and have been less than impressed. Management (Amy) and Kathy (office lady) are always super rude. You cant count on them for anything. Amy (the manager) never calls us back or keeps us updated on stuff in need of repair. And nobody answers the emergency line. Our screens were supposed to be replaced before we moved in in October of 17. Still not done. And our oven started sparking and smoke coming out of it and its been almost two weeks and still no repairs or even contact to let us know when it will be done. We have called 6 times and still have nothing from them. I have a family to feed and they just don't care. They are by far the worst landlords/slumlords we have ever had. Very mean/ nasty/ and not timely on anything.
